Abstract Sohie is a music drama that ollows a young retired theatre actress as she talks to reorters about her amily and career. As the story unolds Sohie s lie transorms rom a cheerul illusion to a brutal reality where nothing is as it seems. The listener gets a irst row seat to the innermost corners o the rotagonist s mind as she journeys through sel awareness. The music transorms rom the modal center o the Lydian scale to the more chromatic and diminished tones o the Octatonic scale. Each character s theme undergoes alterations rom the itch center that ortrays stability to the one that creates unsteadiness in the character. But this instability comes not rom a all to madness, but rather rom the uncovering o the truth. As Sohie becomes saner she alls aart.
