Use The 11... is designed for utomtic gs vlve proving (lekge test) sed on the pressure proving principle. t is for use on gs-fired comustion plnt with or without vent pipe to tmosphere. n the cse of plnts with no vent pipe where stndrds pply, the notes given in «onnection exmples without vent pipe to tmosphere» must e oserved. Used in connection with 1 or 2 commercilly ville pressure switches, vlve proving is utomticlly initited with every urner strtup, either - prior to urner strtup - during the prepurge time if it lsts minimum of 0 seconds - immeditely fter controlled shutdown, or - on completion of the urner control s control sequence, e.g. t the end of the postpurge time The vlve proving test is sed on the 2-stge pressure proving principle: 1. First test phse: The vlve on the mins side is tested y evcuting the test spce nd y monitoring the tmospheric pressure in it. 2. Second test phse: The vlve on the urner side is checked y pressurizing the test spce nd y monitoring the gs pressure. f the pressure increses excessively during the first test phse clled «Test1», or decreses excessively during the second test phse clled «Test2», the vlve proving system will inhiit urner strtup nd initite lockout. n tht cse, the lockout reset utton will light up to indicte the fult. emote indiction of the fult is lso possile. progrm indictor, which stops whenever fult occurs, indictes which of the vlves is leking. Function During the first phse of the vlve proving test clled «Test1», tmospheric pressure must exist in the length of pipe etween the vlves to e tested. n plnts with vent pipe to tmosphere, tmospheric pressure is ville if the vlve proving test is mde prior to or during the prepurge time. n plnts without vent pipe, tmospheric pressure is mde ville s the vlve proving system opens the vlve on the urner side during the time «t». f the vlve proving test is performed fter urner opertion, the vlve on the urner side fter the controlled shutdown cn e kept open until «t» hs elpsed, thus lowering the pressure in the test spce nd mking certin its gs content is urnt off in the comustion chmer during the postpurge time. Prerequisite for this procedure is suitle control progrm of the urner control s provided y urner controls type LF..., LFL..., LGK... or L... The test spce is closed off fter evcution. During the first test phse «Test1», which then follows, the 11... checks with the pressure switch if the tmospheric pressure in the test spce is mintined. f the vlve on the mins side is leking, cusing the pressure to rise ove the switching point of the pressure switch, the 11... will trigger n lrm nd initite lockout. The progrm indictor then stops to indicte «Test1». f the pressure does not increse ecuse the vlve closes correctly, the 11... continues its progrm with the second test phse «Test2». For tht purpose, the vlve on the mins side is opened during «t3» so tht the test spce is pressurized («filling» the test spce). During the second test phse if the vlve on the urner side is leking this pressure must not fll elow the switching point of the pressure switch. f it does, the 11... will initite lockout lso, thus preventing the urner from strting up. On successful completion of the second test phse, the 11... closes the internl control loop etween terminls 3 nd (circuit pth: terminl 3 - contct «r2» - terminls nd - contct - terminl ). This control loop is normlly included in the urner control s strt control loop. fter the control loop hs een closed, the progrmming mechnism of the 11... returns to its strt position to switch itself off.
