Intermediate competitive jazz program for dancers in the 1st - 3rd grades. Dancers who are currently in kindergarten and 1st grade should attend the Varsity Petite Team audition. *Select dancers may be invited to attend the conservatory audition AFTER attending the Varsity audition. YEARLY PROGRAM COST: $880 Amortized over 10 months: $88 monthly (paid on the 1st business day of the month from July April) Program fee covers: choreography for two dances, two costumes, competition fees for 4 competitions, director and manager fees What Do I Need To Audition? Petite Team Information, Requirements & Fees MANDATORY SUMMER CHOREOGRAPHY SESSION: Days and Times TBA (will be in the month of August) These sessions are covered by your yearly program cost These sessions are mandatory for all team members as they will be learning competition choreography REQUIRED TECHNICAL CLASSES FALL SPRING SESSION: The Days and Times will be handed out at the parent meeting. A $30 non-refundable registration fee is applied to all students who enroll in technical classes An $80 Starry Night Performance Fee will be charged on October 1, 2016 with October Tuition. This Fee will give you four complimentary tickets to the Varsity Competitive Showcase in May. The cost of monthly tuition is figured by using the UDA Tuition Scale in the back of this guide All Varsity Petites will be required to take: o Two 1 hour ballet classes weekly o One 1 hour jazz technique weekly o One 1 hour acro class weekly o One 1 hour muvmethod class weekly o One 1.5 hour Varsity Petite choreography rehearsal (attendance required) o Additional Saturday rehearsals may be added to the schedule during competition season This equates to 6.5 minimum hours per week for Varsity Petite Team Members which will be $195.00 in monthly tuition from September-May (June is a half month and paid as a nonrefundable deposit when you register for Fall Spring Technical Classes) Monthly tuition is paid on the 1st business day of each month ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AND FEES: Overdraft Fund $100: Each dancer is required to contribute to a yearly overdraft fund. This fund is to cover any unexpected costs related to your dancer s program. The fee is $100; and broken up into two $50 payments due July 1st and August 1st. Any money that is not used during the year is credited back to your UDA account on May 1st. UDA Company Jacket $180: Due July 1st (if new to program) UDA Rolling Bag (Approx. $80.00): Due July 1st (if new to program) UDA Competition Make-Up and Earrings $80.00: Due November 1st (if new to program) Shoes and Tights: Purchased on your own Conventions: Varsity team members will have the opportunity to attend two or three dance conventions during the dance year these are optional and are not included in your overall monthly fees. www.utahdanceartists.com 9

Senior Team Information, Requirements & Fees MANDATORY SUMMER CHOREOGRAPHY SESSION: Days and Times TBA (will be in the month of August) These sessions are covered by your yearly program cost These sessions are mandatory for all team members as they will be learning competition choreography REQUIRED TECHNICAL CLASSES FALL SPRING SESSION: Days and Times will be handed out at the parent meeting. A $30 non-refundable registration fee is applied to all students who enroll in technical classes An $80 Starry Night Performance Fee will be charged on October 1, 2016 with October Tuition. This Fee will give you four complimentary tickets to the Varsity Competitive Showcase in May. The cost of monthly tuition is figured by using the UDA Tuition Scale in the back of this guide All Varsity Seniors will be required to take: o Two 1.5 hour ballet classes weekly o One 1.5 hour jazz technique weekly o One 1 hour muvmethod class weekly o One 2 hour Varsity Senior choreography rehearsal (attendance required) o Additional Saturday rehearsals may be added to the schedule during competition season This equates to 7.5 minimum hours per week for Varsity Senior Team Members which will be $210.00 in monthly tuition from September-May (June is a half month and paid as a non-refundable deposit when you register for Fall Spring Technical Classes) Monthly tuition is paid on the 1st business day of each month ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AND FEES: Overdraft Fund $100: Each dancer is required to contribute to a yearly overdraft fund. This fund is to cover any unexpected costs related to your dancer s program. The fee is $100; and broken up into two $50 payments due July 1st and August 1st. Any money that is not used during the year is credited back to your UDA account on May 1st. UDA Company Jacket $180: Due July 1st (if new to program) UDA Rolling Bag (Approx. $80.00): Due July 1st (if new to program) UDA Competition Make-Up and Earrings $80.00: Due November 1st (if new to program) Shoes and Tights: Purchased on your own Conventions: Varsity team members will have the opportunity to attend two or three dance conventions during the dance year these are optional and are not included in your overall monthly fees. www.utahdanceartists.com 17

Petite, Mini, Juniors & Teen Teams Only Varsity Program Optional Routines allow varsity members to compete in an additional dance at competition with dancers of a similar age and level; intensifying and targeting the genres of ballet and/or hip hop. OPTIONAL ROUTINES If your dancer is interested in participating in a varsity program optional routine, there will be a section on the Varsity Program Audition Form to notify us of how many optional routines you would like to be considered for. No auditions will take place unless necessary to determine placement, at which time a $15 audition fee would be charged. ADDITIONAL PROGRAM COST: $400 This fee will be amortized in 8 monthly payments of $50.00. (This fee is paid along with the Varsity Program Fee, and monthly tuition from September April.) This fee covers rehearsals, costume, competition critique, 4 competition entrance fees, and manager and director fees. CHOREOGRAPHY FEE: A one-time choreography fee will be charged at the time the dance is learned. This fee is split between all dancers who participate in the optional routine. OPTIONAL ROUTINE REHEARSALS: All dancers must be able to attend all scheduled rehearsals. These rehearsal times and dates may rotate. There are usually between 12 14 rehearsals throughout the fall and winter months that are scheduled around the Varsity program technical classes. CONSERVATORY PROGRAM All dancers who wish to audition for UDA Conservatory (who are not currently a part of the conservatory program) must first attend UDA s Varsity Program Audition. Dancers will receive an invitation to attend the Conservatory Audition if they are at the considered level. Any dancer who is not currently a part of Utah Dance Artists may attend a conservatory ballet and/or jazz technique class on Monday, May 9th along with current UDA conservatory dancers who are their age. This will allow dancers and parents, who are outside of UDA (and may be unfamiliar with the conservatory program) an opportunity to see if their child dances and performs at this level of intensity. Parents must call the UDA Draper Studio at 801-523-5930 to sign up for these classes. UDA Customer Service will provide the times of the appropriate age/level classes for your dancer. Classes are $15 each (with the option of taking classical ballet and/or jazz technique). Dress code for these classes: black leotard and pink tights for ballet and all black attire for jazz technique.
