TRANSPORTATION It is strongly recommended that Teams are responsible for their own transportation. Vehicles can be rented from Vancouver Airport / OC can provide guidance for rental arrangement at a competitive rate. In General rental Rates are CAD100/ day or less (liability insurance is included, comprehensive insurance may be covered via renter s Gold / Platinum credit card policy pls check with your CC company). 8, 7 and 5 passenger vehicles available SUV, mini vans, cars. Large SUV s usually come with a roof rack. Airport auto rental rates are quite similar to the city rates in Canada. Winter tires are required on Route 99. Snow flake or Mud/Snow (M/S) rated. Financial compensation to the teams towards auto rental: up to 200 CAD per team is provided by OC. Larger teams (8+ people in total) requiring 2 vehicles shall receive slightly increased compensation TBC on individual basis, based on the type of vehicle 2 required. Equipment shuttle will be provided at Vancouver airport on the official Team arrival dates Dec 6 and Dec 8. Skis and related equipment will be delivered straight to the wax cabins upon arrival of all flights on each of the official arrival days. Whistler Athletes Centre Welcomes You! 2017 FIS CUP, FIS COC Ski Jumping Accommodation The Whistler Athletes Lodge was constructed to provide accommodation for teams visiting Whistler for training camps and competition events in both winter and summer. As an athlete/coach, a member of an educational or cultural organization, or an event volunteer, you too can enjoy this 2010 Olympic Winter Games legacy! The Whistler Athletes Lodge is located in Cheakamus Crossing, Whistler s newest neighborhood across the Highway from Function Junction. The Lodge features 80 rooms containing 160 beds and a brand new commercial kitchen and dining area for groups to enjoy home cooked meals. Each room contains two Twin XL beds, night side tables and an armoire. Complimentary wireless internet is available throughout the Lodge.
