KBMMERER, Edwin W. MONEY AND CREDIT INSTRUMENTS IN THEIR RELATION TO GENERAL PRICES. 1907. Attempt to prove Newcomb f s equation of exchange. He sought some wider measures of prices with which to compare his computations of monetary circulation, rapidity of turnover, and volume of business. He did this by combining an index of commodity prices giving a generous weight to manufactured articles, with indexes of wages and also of securities. Real estate prices, which he sought, were not then available.
