WELCOME The Bath RFC Ladies, are currently competing in the RFUW Championship South West and travel all over the South of the country to play. Bath RFC Ladies have recently established a 2nd XVs team, the first ever in Bath. How can you get involved and be a part of this exciting, ever growing sport? Bath RFC Ladies are looking for sponsors for the 2016/2017 season, and would like your business to be a part of the team. Take a look at some of the highlights from the past year, events and awards, and our involvement in local business and media. Media & Awards Social Media The Team Bath Chronicle Sports Award Winner - Senior Team of the Year Nominated - Recruitment Award RFU President s Awards Promotional Videos featured Bath Chronicle website Weekly match reports featured Midsomer Journal Weekly radio feature Somer Valley Sports Show Over 1200 followers on Facebook, posts reaching up to 7800 people Over 4200 followers on Twitter, with huge local reach Great links to Bath University Video and image post throughout the season, featuring logos of all sponsors - With professional sports photography at most games Featured in the This Girl Can national campaign, run by Sport England Over 50 ladies joined over the past season, nearly 100 ladies in total 1st Team won 12 out of 15, finished 2nd in the league Drawing players in from all over the local area, including Bath University and Bath Spa players Team played at two national premiership grounds - Kingsholm and the Rec Players involved in national rugby teams as well as national 7s and touch teams Sponsoring Bath RFC Ladies has meant great brand exposure. Bath is rugby mad, and support of womens rugby has given us great opportunities in the local community. WOMENS RUGBY Women s rugby has never been so popular. Women s rugby is the largest up and coming women s sport in the UK. With the England Women winning the Rugby World Cup in 2014, the sport has seen a dramatic increase in coverage, sponsorship and professionalism in the last few years. Professional More than 18,000 women and girls play rugby regularly in England Positive sporting and female role models Increased TV, print and online coverage, of not only womens rugby, but all women s sport High brand loyalty to Rugby Union Rugby 7s included in Rio 2016 olympics A number of the Bath RFC Ladies have gone onto gain international honours, with England RFU, Wales RFU and England Touch The coaching staff at Bath RFC Ladies also host international and national honours, with Sarah Hunter, England Womens captain, and Tom Dunn from Bath 1st team At the moment rugby is growing hugely amongst younger girls. After the World Cup last year, women s rugby has massively taken off. And I think after this summers Olympics with 7s being involved for the first time, it will take off again and grow even more.
