2015 First Wisconsin Chapter of Muskies Inc. Wednesday Night League 9th season Commissioner Alex Swanson 608-445-7703 The league is for members and non members to enjoy the good waters we have in the Chippewa valley. It s an honor system league where the real goal is to get as many members of the chapter fishing with one another and learning from each other. The league also puts emphasis on taking kids fishing. League nights are Wednesday s starting the first Wednesday after Memorial Day and goes until the last Wednesday in September. There is no league a few Wednesday s in July do to the summer heat, see schedule. No rain delays, but I can call it for severe T-Storms and Tornado warnings. If such happens, I will make the decision 1-2 hours prior by email and phone. The Wednesday Night League has a Green Jacket awarded to the angler who had the most points at the end the season. There is also junior awards and an award for best net man. All awards to be handed out at the chapters banquet in January. Tie breakers are in this order, largest, most muskies, and first muskie caught. There is a small entry fee to pay for league, so it does not come out of the main clubs budget. The league charges $5 a head for the entire season of league (or just one league night) to purchase awards. You WILL NOT be rewarded points until you are a paid member. New this year***every guest lake league night fished gets you an entry into a drawing at the annual banquet for a prize to be determined. Anglers don t have to fish all of the weeks, the anglers TOP FIVE fish night scores count using Muskies Inc. rules and counting 30 and above fish. 30 fish is 4pts and one additional point for every inch afterwards. Example a 40 muskie = 14 pts. Muskies are counted to the nearest ¼ at.25 points per ¼ The league put Net Man Points into effect in 2007. Everyone in league that successfully nets a muskie for someone gains 2 points. If you catch the fish and net it yourself, you don t receive net man points too. All fish in league have to be measured laying flat with a stick ruler, floating ruler or bump board and witnessed by the net man to the nearest 1/4". You can pinch the tail, but no vertical measurements. Please be prepared and leave the fish in the net until ready, get cameras and ruler ready. Try not to keep the fish out of the water any longer then 10 seconds. League waters include Lake Wissota, Lake Holcombe and Old Abe Flowage as far as you can go by boat. Everyone meets at one landing on each lake after the scheduled hours and talks about fishing. Meeting point on Wissota is Rod and Gun landing. Every month there will be a "guest lake" where participating anglers must fish that one lake.

The leagues major rule is you MUST fish with a different angler each week. That way anglers get to fish with other anglers and complete the goal of the league to have FUN and meet new people. A list of league members and there phone numbers and email addresses are provided to everyone so they can get a new boat partner each week. See the Commish if there is reason why you have to fish with someone twice. Please try and offer to help pay for gas when fishing in another anglers boat. 1. Fishing hours on Wednesday are from 5pm until 10pm the first half and 5pm to 9:30pm the first 3 events in the second half and 5pm to 9pm after that. 2. Each person will be fishing for his or her individual points 3. Juniors can fish with their parents on every league night, providing there is a different anger with them each time, unless it s ok with the parent to have them fish with another. 4. You must call in your fish to Commish Alex Swanson at 608-445-7703 by midnight. Include your name, length of each catch and the name of your net man if a message has to be left.
