To perform in SoundWaves at SeaWorld your group must follow these three steps: 1. Review all enclosed materials 2. Complete and return the following forms and Materials: Performance Guidelines (return one per group) Performance Application (return one per group) Performance DVD or Online Video Link (sample performance must be within the last year) Color photograph clearly showing the type of costume to be worn. 3. Email Paperwork to: SWCGroupSales@seaworld.com Completed packets must be received at least six (6) weeks prior to performance date. Incomplete materials will not be approved. 4. Complete and Bring on Performance Day SeaWorld San Diego Performance Waiver This form will be sent to you upon approval of your application along with a ticket order form.
Performance Guidelines Approval Process Initial All groups must be approved by the Entertainment Producer of SoundWaves at SeaWorld. A DVD or Online Video link must accompany your application in order for you to be moved forward in the approval process. The performance that you submit does not need to be the exact show that you will be performing at SeaWorld San Diego but must represent the quality of your performance group. Materials will not be returned. Musical selection is another integral part of the approval process. Please keep in mind that SeaWorld is a theme park. Our audiences come to see shows and be entertained. Up tempo, high-energy songs tend to be crowd pleasers. Remember, you are not performing to be judged, but to entertain, so have fun with your performance. All performance materials must be received at least six (6) weeks before your requested performance date. Approval Criteria Initial Acceptance into SoundWaves at SeaWorld is based in part on the quality and stage presence of performance presented on your video submission as judged by SeaWorld San Diego s Entertainment Department. Performance Group Types Initial SoundWaves at SeaWorld is accepting applications for: Marching Band, Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, Orchestra, Show Choir, Concert Choir, Glee Club, A Capella Group, Steel Band, Jazz Band, Dance Teams, Dance Troupes, and Cheerleading Squads. Please note that aerial work including tosses, and lifts are prohibited. Marching Bands Initial SeaWorld cannot accommodate a parade march at this time. Marching Bands will cadence to a performance area and do a street or standing performance. Changing Areas Initial Groups performing for SoundWaves at SeaWorld must come in their performance attire. We do not offer changing areas. Your group can use lockers within the park for extra expense. Instrument Storage Initial All instruments must be stored on the bus. Storage space is not provided.
