Leading Causes of Death in Hawaii Death Counts, Age-Adjusted Mortality Rates, and Years of Potential Life Lost for the State of Hawaii (Residents Only), by Cause of Death, by This report displays the average number of deaths, the age-adjusted mortality rate () per 100,000 population, and the years of potential life lost () for Hawaii residents. Mortality rates are age-adjusted using the 2000 U.S. Standard Population, and is measured to age 75 years. Data are shown by year, in descending order. The data are displayed by selected dimensions and attributes. If a dimension or attribute value is unknown for a particular record, that record will not be included in the counts for that particular dimension.
