NEW THIS YEAR.. Band Fees are now broken down into Fair Share and Overnight Travel We will have a uniform usage fee. Uniforms will be used multiple years. Attendance Policy : All absences will now be documented on forms. Informal Uniform: All students will receive ONE informal uniform this year. Practice Uniform: Students MUST wear a plain white t-shirt and dark green/black shorts Summer Camps: All rehearsals and camps are now online and updated. VOLUNTEERING What s in it for ME? Watching your student achieve / learn / develop. Be a part of something that your child will remember forever. Not just fundraising. TOGETHER we achieve great things. PLUS Volunteers can earn a Fair Share Credit of up to $100 when you volunteer at Jupiter HS Band events.

As the serpent who slithers the tree-trunk, the law runneth forward and back: THE STRENGTH OF THE PACK IS EACH WOLF, BUT THE STRENGTH OF EACH WOLF IS THE PACK.
Fair Share A necessary evil. We receive ZERO funding from the school or county. Fair Share is broken down into two parts Fair Share and Overnight Travel. Our Fair Share is less than most bands of our caliber. OTHER EXAMPLES: Park Vista - $1700 Fair Share plus $400+ overnight travel; Broken Arrow - $2900 Fair Share plus $1200+ in overnight travel Our goal this year was to place everything we need/use into the fairshare. Travel cost: We will fundraise to lower the overnight costs. We want to be totally transparent and let you know the WORST CASE SCENERIO. Successful fundraisers = lower overnight travel costs.
What does the Fair Share include? Staff Stipends Show Design Uniforms Competition Fees Local Travel Instruments & Instrument Repair Equipment Props And more anything that costs $ to put the show on the field and rehearse
What does Fair Share NOT cover? Camp/Rehearsal needs like sneakers,etc. Rehearsal Tshirts and shorts. Hat, sunscreen, personal items needed to rehearse. Meals at rehearsals / camps / competitions. Show shoes / Socks / undergarments / compression shirt, etc. 3 ring binder / mallets / sticks / reeds / oil, etc. Rental fees for school owned instruments and equipment.
How do I pay for my Fair Share? Fundraisers. Fundraisers. Fundraisers. Check or Money Order Credit card via SchoolCashOnline.com Donations/ sponsorships. Volunteer Credit. Payment Plans.
2017 SPIRIT FAIR SHARE COSTS Last year s Fair Share was $1222 per person. 2017 Fair Share will be $1340 per person. 2017 Overnight Travel Costs will be $350 per person. (maximum) The Fair Share can fluctuate due to the number of students participating. REMEMBER: Worst Case Scenerio
Fair Share Payment Due Dates March 27 with forms - $100 May 13 - $200 June 1- $200 July 17 - $200 August 14 - $250 September 27 - $250 MUST HAVE 75% OF FAIR SHARE PAID October 18 - $200 November 8 -$290 max (most likely will be less with travel reduction)
Jupiter Band FANS NEW THIS YEAR!! FANS Financial Assistance for Needy Students A fund set up to specifically address those situations where members cannot meet the full financial obligations. The fund will be confidential. We will begin to take donations to the fund shortly. After we begin to receive funds we will have forms so families can apply. The fund will be 100% supported by donations from the community, the current band membership, and band alumni.
MARCH 27 Forms Due. $100 per person due. HS Bandroom will be open between 6:30pm and 7:30pm. Notary publics will be available to notarize your student s health forms. Payable by check made out to JHS Band Payable by credit card under Jupiter HS Band fees. Please bring receipt.
