Current Events Pampering the pooches An animal shelter in Illinois is really stepping it up when it comes to kennel decorations. They have started putting old arm chairs and recliners, that have been donated, in their living spaces. The Knox County Humane Society No Kill Shelter in Galesburg went viral. Members of the public noticed the adoptable dogs luxuriating on old lounge chairs. The shelter said the idea was inspired by a pitbull who lived there and would jump into a chair at any chance. Ever since, they have been collecting old recliners for the rest of the dogs. The shelter says it helps the animals feel like they are in a home, it also helps them with stress.
