7 Teacher Spotlight By: Saige Stock and Mikayla Veazie Mrs. Read teaches 8th grade Health, 7th grade Wellness, and Gym. At home, she likes to draw with chalk and cook. Growing up, she played volleyball in high school and softball in junior high, high school, and college. Some of her weird attributes are that she can break a apple in half with her hands, she hates bananas, and it takes her an hour to eat an orange. Mrs. Whipple is the Special Ed. teacher. In school, she ran track, played basketball and volleyball. Outside of work, she likes to read, hike, and swim. She has two dogs at home, has a black belt in Karate, can touch her tongue to her nose, and she also likes to have M&M s in her popcorn.
8 Volunteer Spotlight Kaylee Bayn My name is KayLee Bayn, and I am a senior at Northridge High School. I attended Syracuse Arts Academy for nine amazing years. Since I can no longer attend, I often come back to help at SAA. Currently, I am an intern with Mrs. Johns, helping out with her math classes in the afternoon. I am excited to be in the classroom with such an amazing teacher and bright students. SAA gave me an identity and confidence in myself- the least I could do is come back to serve. Leadership Quote The best leader doesn t always have the loudest voice, but they should have the loudest heart. -Candice Dallin, Cheer Squad
