Rich Pond Elementary School Newsletter Inspiring Tomorrow s Leaders, Today! 12/4/15 WEB FACEBOOK TWITTER warrencountyschools.org/richpond facebook.com/richpondelementary @RichPondElement 2015 KENTUCKY DISTINGUISHED AND HIGH PERFORMING SCHOOL SOUTH WARREN FOOTBALL Good luck to the Spartans as they play in the Class 4A Championship Game against Johnson Central 7 pm Sunday, December 6 WKU NEWEST NEWS We hope to see you there! CAR RIDER REMINDERS - IMPORTANT *For our children s safety (including yours), please do not use your cell phone from the time you merge into one lane until after you have left campus. Watch for other cars moving and for students. *Also make sure your mirror tag is on your mirror from the time you merge until after you pick up your child. This not only keeps the line flowing but it helps us get your child to you more quickly. If we see you coming but your child is not outside, we can more quickly get them to you without disrupting the process. SANTA SHOP - MESSAGE FROM RP PTO Rich Pond Santa Shop is arriving soon! Each year, we offer a selection of small, inexpensive gifts that allow your child to pick presents for their family and loved ones for the holidays. It offers the kids a chance to use their math skills with their money, and the independence and confidence of making choices on their own. This year our Santa Shop will be Tuesday, December 15 th and Wednesday, December 16 th during school. Each class will have a chance to shop on one of these days, and we will have it open Thursday morning for any absences. We will be sending home an envelope next week that you can put money for your child to shop and also an area to write down a list for your child and give them an idea of how much to spend on each person. The company that we partner with to get the gifts gives back a portion of the sales so our school is able to benefit from the shop. We appreciate you allowing us to help your children share the excitement of the holidays! HALL OF DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI The Warren County Public School District is now taking nominations for its Hall of Distinguished Alumni. The school district will use the Hall of Distinguished Alumni to pay tribute to graduates of Warren County Public Schools high schools who have distinguished themselves and brought honor to the Warren County Public Schools through their professional, civic and/or humanitarian contributions and accomplishments. Nomination forms may be picked up at the Warren County Public Schools Central Office located at 303 Lovers Lane, from any school in the Warren County Public Schools District, or you may download the nomination form here: http://www.warrencountyschools.org/content2/2192
