Point fund and end of year awards are paid based on the accumulation of points for the entire race season in accordance with the NASCAR Touring Series Rule Book and not in any way attributable to this particular event or any one event nor is it contingent upon participating in an event. HOOSIER TIRE ALLOTMENT FOR THE SOUTHERN SLAM 150 The maximum tire allotment available for this event is eight (8) tires per team. All tires used for qualifying and the race must be purchased at the track and scanned by Hoosier, unless otherwise approved in advance by the Series Director. Four (4) tires must be used for qualifying and to begin the race. All qualifying tires must remain in impound until released by NASCAR Officials. The remaining tire allotment may be used for practice and/or change tires during the event. The tire change rule is one (1) tire, any position. (Continued on Reverse)

(Continued from Front) A team representative will be permitted in the tire impound area during a specified time to mount, air and size tires. By the designated time the team representative must determine which tires of the allotment will be used for qualifying and which tires of the allotment will be used as practice and/or change tires during the race. At the designated time(s), NASCAR Officials may permit the race/change tires, as an option by the team representative, to be removed from the tire impound area to be utilized during practice. If the race/change tires are removed from the tire impound area they MUST be returned by the designated time and MUST be scuffed unless circumstances prevent and must be approved by the Series Director. A maximum of four (4) tires from previous NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour events may be used for practice sessions only, providing the tires used are the same codes supplied by Hoosier for use at Charlotte Motor Speedway. These tires must be presented to NASCAR and marked prior to going to the track for practice. TIRE CODE: LF 500 D2425 RF 500 D2625 LR 500 D2425 RR 500 D2625 During the race, up to four (4) additional tires may be designated by a team representative to the NASCAR Official assigned to their pit stall as an Emergency Change Tire. Emergency Change Tires may only be used in the event of a flat tire, damaged wheel and/or the tire cannot maintain the recommended minimum pressures from Hoosier. Emergency Change Tires cannot be a new/sticker tire. Emergency Change Tires may only be used if approved by NASCAR Officials. The procedure for utilizing an Emergency Change Tire will be discussed in the Driver/Crew Chief Meeting. QUALIFYING PROCEDURE Two consecutive qualifying laps. (EIRI) Faster lap determines qualifying position. Adjustments or repairs may not be made on the car after the car has taken the green flag at the start/finish line. NASCAR reserves the right to have more than one car engage in qualifying runs at the same time. Starting field for the SOUTHERN SLAM 150 is limited to 26 starters including Provisional Positions. Cars will be impounded after qualifying. Cars must qualify on race set up. After qualifying all cars will proceed immediately to the impound area. Only minor adjustments will be permitted following qualifying (i.e. air pressure checked). NASCAR Officials must oversee and authorize any and all work being done to the cars during this time period. STARTING POSITIONS AND PROVISIONAL STARTING POSITIONS PROCEDURE The following will be the procedure for determining eligibility for and assigning of provisional starting positions for the 2016 NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour Championship event after starting positions 1st thru 23rd have been determined by qualifying, providing all entrants have had the opportunity to qualify. (What constitutes an opportunity to qualify shall be at the discretion of the Series Director.) The starting field for this event will be established as follows: Starting Positions 1st thru 23rd will be determined from qualifying. Until the completion of the third (3rd) event of the 2016 NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour season, the provisional starting position 24th will be assigned based on the final 2015 NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour Championship car owner point standings. After the completion of the third (3rd) event of the 2016 NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour season, the provisional starting position 24th will be assigned based on the current 2016 NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour Championship car owner point standings. Provisional Starting Position 24th has been established for up to one additional starting position which will be available to the highest ranking of the Top 30 car owners in the current 2016 NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour Championship car owner point standings who has not qualified for one of the original 23 starting positions, provided the eligible owner s car that is added to the field is the same car that was used in the official qualifying attempt or was used during an official practice session for the event, unless the car was not repairable as determined by NASCAR. To be eligible for this owner s provisional position the owner must possess a valid 2016 NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour car owner's license and have filed this entry. If any unfilled position(s) still remain, they will then be assigned to the next eligible car owner who did not qualify for one of the original 23 starting positions based on the current 2016 NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour Championship car owner point standings. In the event there should be one or more owners with the same number of points, the ties will be broken as set forth in section 17-8.1A in the 2016 NASCAR Touring Series Rule Book. To be eligible for the owner s provisional position, the owner must possess a valid 2016 NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour car owner s license and have filed this entry. Until the completion of the third (3rd) event of the 2016 NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour season, the provisional starting position 25th will be assigned based on the final 2015 NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour Championship driver point standings. After the completion of the third (3rd) event of the 2016 NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour season, the provisional starting position 25th will be assigned based on the current 2016 NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour Championship driver point standings. Provisional Starting Position 25th has been established for up to one additional starting position which will be available to the highest ranking of the Top 30 drivers in the current 2016 NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour Championship driver point standings who has not qualified for one of the original 23 starting positions, provided the eligible driver's car that is added to the field is the same car that was used in the official qualifying attempt or was used during an official practice session for the event, unless the car was not repairable as determined by NASCAR. To be eligible for this driver's provisional position, the driver must possess a valid 2016 NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour driver's license and have filed this entry. (Continued on Next Page)

Continued from Page 1 SOUTHERN SLAM 150 Charlotte (NC) Motor Speedway Thursday, October 6, 2016 If any unfilled position(s) still remain, they will then be assigned to the next eligible driver who did not qualify for one of the original 23 starting positions based on the current 2016 NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour Championship driver point standings. In the event there should be one or more drivers with the same number of points, the ties will be broken as set forth in section 17-8.1A in the 2016 NASCAR Touring Series Rule Book. To be eligible for the driver s provisional position, the driver must possess a valid 2016 NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour driver s license and have filed this entry. Provisional Starting Position 26th has been established for up to one additional starting position which will be available to any past NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour Champion driver who participated as a driver in the 2015 NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour and who did not qualify for one of the original 23 starting positions, provided the eligible driver's car that is added to the field is the same car that was used in the official qualifying attempt or was used during an official practice session for the event, unless it is not repairable as determined by NASCAR. In the event there should be more than one past champion driver eligible for this provisional position, the position will be determined by the most recent NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour Championship, not the qualifying speed. If a former NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour Champion driver is not assigned this position, it will then be assigned to the next eligible driver who did not qualify for one of the original 23 starting positions based on the current 2016 NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour Championship driver point standings. If any provisional position(s) remains unfilled, then those position(s) will become available to the next eligible car from the qualifying procedure for this event. If there remains any unfilled position(s) they will be filled from the qualifying draw. The decision of what constitutes an official qualifying attempt or official practice attempt shall be at the discretion of the NASCAR Official in charge of the event. The event and qualifying procedure are defined in the 2016 NASCAR Touring Series Rule Book. In the event that qualifying as stated on this entry blank does not take place (EIRI) for any unforeseen circumstance, the field will be set in accordance with the 2016 NASCAR Touring Series Rule Book in Section 9, sub-section 5.1 (9-5.1). SPECIAL RULES: ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS This event will be run in accordance with the 2016 NASCAR Touring Series Rule Book, the provisions of this Official Entry Blank, any special rules applicable to the event and any amendments thereto. In the event of any conflict between the 2016 NASCAR Touring Series Rule Book, the Official Entry Blank and the special rules, NASCAR's determination as to the interpretation and application of the conflicting rules will be final. All drivers, car owners and crew members must have a valid NASCAR license that has not been suspended or revoked. For a car owner to receive owner s points and prize money for this event, the car owner s entry must be comprised of substantially similar components of the race team which regularly competes at other Series events under such car owner s designated car number. Such components which are regularly associated with a particular race team include essential equipment, personnel and other key elements utilized by the race team on a regular basis. In order to protect the integrity of the sport and fair distribution of championship points and prize money, NASCAR reserves the right to evaluate the core components of each team at the event, including but not limited to the team s designated Crew Chief, Driver, race vehicle(s), hauler and/or other equipment, to confirm the team competing in the event is not a mere semblance of the race team which regularly competes in the Series under a designated car number. NASCAR s determinations that the above requirements have not been met are at the sole discretion of the Series Director. All cars must be inspected, pass inspection and receive a practice sticker before they will be permitted to engage in practice or qualifying. Cars that have not been checked in for inspection during the inspection period will not be permitted to compete. (EIRI) NOTE: Any NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour car with a fuel cell that was not sealed in 2016 should arrive with the fuel cell empty and ready for inspection. NOTE: All teams must have a spotter with radio contact to the driver during practice, qualifying and the race; all spotters must scan the NASCAR frequency being used during practice, qualifying and the race. It is also recommended that teams have radio contact between the driver and his/her pit crew and that the pit crew have a radio scanner to monitor the NASCAR race frequency. The frequency being used will be made available at the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour trailer. Cars, parts and/or equipment will not be considered as having been approved by reason of having passed through inspection at any time or any number of times unobserved or undetected. All cars are subject to the physical control of NASCAR from the time they pass inspection until after they are officially released by NASCAR. NASCAR, however, is not responsible for any loss or damage to any car. NOTE: All engine fluids, lubricants, solvents and fuels must be disposed of in a proper manner in accordance with track rules and procedures and all other applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. NASCAR may require any driver, including without limitation any starter or relief driver to take and pass a driver s test (in the manner deemed appropriate by NASCAR in its sole discretion) prior to the event, any practice runs, qualifying runs or the race. Rookie drivers may be required to take and pass a driver s test under the specification of, direction and control of NASCAR. NASCAR will announce the deadline for Rookie driver tests. NASCAR may specify, limit or restrict the types of racing series, race cars, or race tracks in which a license holder may participate. NASCAR may also require a minimum speed (EIRI) to be obtained to participate in the event. (Continued on Reverse)

(Continued from Front) NOTE: All NASCAR drivers must submit or have on file at NASCAR a career resume outlining their previous racing experience and history and, per sub-section 3-1 of the 2016 NASCAR Touring Series Rule Book, be specified as eligible to compete in this series and on a racetrack of this type and length. Any driver who has not submitted a career resume form or needs to send in an updated form, may do so via the Official NASCAR Member website (www.nascarmembers.com). NOTE: For practice, qualifying and the race, all competitors must use Sunoco 260 GTX Unleaded Racing Fuel exactly as supplied by Sunoco, display a Sunoco patch on his/her driving suit on the upper chest or outer sleeve above the elbow, display a Sunoco decal on the car as specified by NASCAR, as well as display the Sunoco trade name on the fuel filler can(s) used during competition. Fuel must be used exactly as supplied by Sunoco's dispensing equipment at the track. Per Section 20D-16.6 of the 2016 NASCAR Touring Series Rule Book, each team must furnish their own approved fuel filler can(s). GEAR RULE: BUILT ENGINE: SPEC ENGINE: Quick Change Quick Change 6.07 minimum 6.07 minimum 7.05 maximum 7.05 maximum ENTRY REGULATIONS Any competitor who files an entry postmarked after September 19, 2016 will be eligible to receive prize money, provided entry is accepted by NASCAR, but must pay $150 late inspection fee. Entries MUST be submitted by MAIL or other NASCAR recognized courier, electronically or via the Official NASCAR Member website (www.nascarmembers.com). No entries accepted by telephone. NASCAR is under no obligation to accept this entry. This entry will not be accepted unless approved by NASCAR. MANUFACTURERS PRIZE MONEY CONDITIONS Participation in manufacturers' prize money is contingent upon the use of their products, display of decals on car as specified by manufacturer and approved by NASCAR, display of logo emblem on driving suit (if required) and signing of proper product usage certification and advertising release. Driver must cooperate with Officials in victory circle ceremonies if requested. Prize money will be paid according to official finishing position and times, and entrants cannot win awards of more than one competing manufacturer. In most cases, if the winning driver does not meet the eligibility criteria for a certain contingent award, it will be awarded to the highest finishing eligible driver.
