The Majestic Glass Corvette Club provides local charitable support to organizations in Snohomish, Skagit, Island, and Whatcom Counties as well as to National non-profit organizations and families in need. Proceeds received from fund raising activities that include hosting of Annual Car Shows, etc., are used for this purpose. The distribution of funding is reviewed and approved by the membership. MGCC utilizes Multi-Use Radio Service (MURS) radios set to Channel 3 (151.940 MHz) and sub-code (CTCSS) 3 (74.4 Hz) for communication on club trips and at club events. Minutes: Minutes of the July 10, 2018 meeting at Coconut Kenny s in Burlington. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM by the vice president. The Minutes were read and approved. The Treasurers report was given. Membership (50) Old Business: A great time was had by all who attended the picnic at Jim s on July 8th. The meeting was called to order at 7:00pm by the president Members in attendance were (13) Nancy Burress, Dick & Betty Carey, John & Cynthia Lucke, Doug & Linda Gilbert, Joanne Olson, Mel & Linda Paul, Bill & Sandy Ruch, Kristie Sweet The minutes were read and approved. The treasures report was given. Membership (50). Old Business: The Lyman show was a lot fun and food. There were 3 covers to keep us out of the sun. Their 50/50 was $1000.00! Jack Duncan won 2nd place for his 74 coupe, Bryan won 2nd place with Buford, and Doug won 1st place with his El Camino. The Skagit Casino Show was a really good show. There were over 340 cars and 50 trophies. The casino workers were the judges that picked cars they liked. We were able to park in the grass. It was really hot. The Vietnam Veterans Show had over 250 cars. This was a great show for a great cause. The trophies were hand made. Bill Ruch and Bryan both got 1st place for their vettes. We made a donation of $250.00 to them. New Business: Bill Ruch would like to re-start the point program. He will take that task on and will start January 1st. Board members are not included in this. Edgar received an email from the Wenatchee Valley Corvette Club to join them on a cruise on August 18th on the North Cascade Highway for a lunch box gathering. If interested, please email John Lucke. We had 3 visitors attend. Ben and his girlfriend Tonya. He owns a red 2016 Stingray which is his daily driver. Tyler who owns a 2003 Red Z06 which he calls his Weekend Warrior. Larbre must have decided a bright yellow C7.R didn t already stand out enough on the racetrack. It glows in the dark to give the drivers some positive energy according to the artist. If you happen to watch Le Mans at night, you ll have no trouble picking out the #50 Larbre C7.R. The Gavin/Tommy Milner/Marcel Fassler-driven #64 C7.R was knocked back by two mechanical issues before retiring with overheating in the morning hours.
