In the summer of 2017, Gloucester Rugby commenced an intensive review of the brand and values. A full audit was completed of our current brand and assets, which included interviews with the Gloucester Rugby Board, employees and players. The Gloucester Rugby brand was seen as intrinsic in terms of the future success of the club and it was critical that we protect and look after its brand for future generations. Following many months of work, it was agreed that changes to the brand including the current Gloucester Rugby logo would be made. There are no changes to the Club name - we remain Gloucester Rugby. We are delighted to announce the launch of our new logo and brand assets from 15 May 2018. Over the summer of 2018 the new brand and logo will be gradually integrated across Gloucester Rugby communications and Kingsholm Stadium. For further information on the changes please visit www.gloucesterrugby.co.uk We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all Gloucester Rugby fans, partners, current & former players, suppliers and Gloucester Rugby employees for their continued support of the club. We are proud of our heritage and look bravely forward to our future.
Dave Balmer Stadium Manager, Gloucester Rugby In the 22 years that I have been here I have walked over 57 million steps on the Kingsholm turf. Over the years over 120 internationals have played at this club. Hopefully in the future we ll have many more. John Price A Gloucester Rugby fans view The first time I came here was in October 79 and as the game started I was hooked. I ve never known an atmosphere or a passion for rugby as I experienced that night. There are three of us now, there s my son Edward, who s been coming since he was 6, and he s now bringing my granddaughter Evie who is also 6. I m sure she ll become a fan for life as well. Billy Twelvetrees Player, Gloucester Rugby I think playing for Gloucester Rugby is a massive honour for me. To have that support week in week out is so important. Adam Balding Head of Gloucester Community and former player, Gloucester Rugby When I personally think about Gloucester Rugby the first thing that springs to mind is that we are, and always have been, the heartbeat of the city. And when you underpin that with a set of loyal, passionate, vocal fans it makes this Club such a special place to be. Playing for Gloucester, when you used to run past the shed and do your half a lap, and as the noise went up and starts chanting Gloucester, Gloucester, you cannot replicate that feeling anywhere. And as a player you d start in that bottom left hand corner and as you got progressively further up the pitch, you just grow. And by the time you come round to meet up in your huddle you were ready to play. Stephen Vaughan CEO, Gloucester Rugby We are a real community hub here at Kingsholm, we have teams of all different abilities, all different levels and genders. Gloucester Rugby really is an institution. What people don t always see is what goes on behind just the first team here. But is a brave new world and we have got to be ready for the challenge. To see the Gloucester Rugby video go to: gloucesterrugby.co.uk Johan Ackermann Head Coach, Gloucester Rugby We have created a culture that we want the players to be accountable in delivering excellence. I want the players to always know that they have worked extremely hard not just for themselves but also for their teammates and for the supporters. If you ve got an attitude of serving people then obviously you will always look to go that extra step for your teammate. The biggest challenge for any coach is to create an environment where players feel that they belong and can enjoy themselves. Martin St Quinton Chairman, Gloucester Rugby We want to be progressive and successful in the future so what we are attempting to do now is the balance between the past and the future. In reality what happens from now going forward is what really matters to me and what really matters to the fans.
