REQUEST FOR PARKS & RECREATION BOARD ACTION Meeting Date: May 22, 2018 Item Name: Review of Presented by: Susan Arntz, City Administrator & Craig Eldred, Public Services Director RECOMMENDATIONS/ACTION/MOTION REQUESTED (Include motion in proper format.) No formal votes will be taken. Recommendations for modifications to the plan will be discussed. EXPLANATION OF AGENDA ITEM (Include a description of background, benefits, and recommendations. Based on last meeting discussion about the Comprehensive Plan, the new project for the Accessible Playground that the board desires, and the various other projects being discussed. For your review, I have provided the current (CIP) and an amended CIP. The amended plan has a number of changes including: updating the costs for playground replacements to match the desire for accessible systems and updated pricing for these systems. During the meeting, we will review the edits and the financing options for the plan so the Board knows the challenges that the plan has within. This is a discussion items. We will take the Board s comments, update this document and then will be meeting with the Capital Improvement Committee of the City Council. This next step has not yet been scheduled but is anticipated in early June.
