FOR BETTY The Hickory Chapter of ASGA extends its deepest sympathy to Betty Moore in the recent loss of her nephew in a motorcycle accident in Arizona. Her sister has also been diagnosed with cancer and is hospitalized in the Raleigh area. Betty, our thoughts and prayers are with you during this tragic time. We are available to help in any way that we can. God bless you and your family. NOTE OF THANKS ~Hank Parish Dear friends, On behalf of the twelve members/ guests of the Asheville Chapter, who attended your golf outing at Rock Barn Golf & Spa, I would like to thank the Hickory Chapter for arranging the joint-chapter golf event and subsequent activities last Saturday. This was my first time playing the Rock Barn courses; and, I must say, they are some of the best I have ever seen. You folks certainly deserve a lot of credit for making everything very easy for all of us. While there were a lot of no shows for the optional golf on Sunday (too much partying was the excuse I heard) the two of us who did play had the best possible time. The weather turned out to be great, and we virtually had the whole Jackson Course to ourselves. Please let everyone (who made the weekend a success) know how much we appreciate their efforts. I look forward to attending more of these joint ventures among our local chapters. Hank Parish, President Asheville Chapter of ASGA JUNE BIRTHDAYS Hickory Chapter members, who are celebrating birthdays this month are Mike Roane, Clarence Owen, and Claudetta Potts on the 27 th, 28 th, and 29th, consecutively.
