15 Min. Princess Lessons It is time for princess training! This is a very important part of being a real princess; walking, talking, and acting like a princess! Have all the girls line up and show them the ropes. First, they must learn how to walk in their princess high heels. Have them walk in a circle around the floor in releve (tip toes) with their crown (arms over their head). Next, they need to learn how to walk in their high heels with perfect posture. Give each princess a dot (star) to balance on their head as they walk around in releve. Now it is time to learn the princess twirl and curtsy! Have the princesses take five steps in releve and then twirl with their arms up. After they twirl, they then stop and curtsy. Once the girls have mastered the princess techniques, they may have a seat to learn princess etiquette. Another very important trait of a princess is the famous princess wave. Teach them how to stand up tall, smile, and wave like a princess! Explain to the girls that etiquette is one of the most important characteristics of a princess! Etiquette means having good manners and being proper, and this is what royalty is all about. Please, thank you, and you re welcome. It is extremely important for princesses to use good manners! Make sure these three magical phrases are a part of every sentence necessary. Have the girls practice by giving them examples and making up their own. Manners WOW worksheet Table manners. When dining, hands should be kept in the lap, elbows stay off of the table, take small bites, do not speak with food in your mouth, and always use utensils. It is important to go over this before the Friday Tea Party! Use names. Have the girls learn each other s names. It is important to use names when talking to someone. For example, instead of just saying Thank you, try to say Thank you, Sara. Encourage the girls throughout the week to use each other s names as much as possible. Thank you notes. When others spend time helping us, it is very important for them to know how much we appreciate their help. Ask them if they have ever written thank you notes and what types of occasions they would want to write a thank you note. (The girls will get practice writing thank you notes for the people that come to the Tea Party.) Use the balance beams at the end of their Princess Lessons to practice Crown Arms, walking on their high heels (releve), and walking with good posture and confidence!
