ALPINE CORNER 3/17 Plenty of skiing left for this season. The ski areas have received lots of natural snow this year and have made snow, so this warm spell shouldn t have too much effect. Just in case though, why don t you sign up for the Mt. Tremblant Canada trip. This was a great trip last year and when asked, a majority of respondents picked this for a return trip this year. Send check and completed trip form to Dick Forsti soon to reserve a spot on this trip. Price includes 3 days of skiing, lodging and bus transportation. Nominations for ski club officers are being held. If you re the type who gets pleasure out of volunteering, helping organize, are outgoing and sociable, why don t you put yourself in nomination. ALL positions are open. Don t think because someone has been doing a position for a while you can t run. This is your club. It is run by volunteer members for the good of all the members. Thinking of new equipment? New ski demo day at Hunter Mt. weekend of March 4 & 5. Also remember the last Gore bus Sunday ski bus is going to be March 5. $85 adult, $75 senior, lift ticket and transportation. If interested, send check and trip form, or email, or call Dick Forsti. All trip details are elsewhere in newsletter. SATURDAY March 25 will be our annual spring ski picnic at Royal Mt. Rt 10 Caroga Lake. Try to bring a hors d oeuvres, salad, or desert to pass. We will buy main entre and drinks from Royal. Remember to show your membership card for reduced price lift ticket. THINK SNOW AND KEEP SKIING & BOARDING ANDY Please note that all pertinent forms (membership, trip, and liability wavers) are available for the following GE Ski Club sponsored trips on the GE ski Club Web page at www.geskiclub.org 5
