Hello and Welcome Bedminster & Southville Level 2 and 3 Walking Groups autumn programme in association with LinkAge and Walking for Health Bristol Partnership. If you are looking to join a fun, friendly group of social walks, our group is for you. All of our walks are: FREE to attend, unless stated otherwise. Level 2 is set at a slow pace and covers up to 60 minutes Level 3 is set at a moderate pace and covers up to 90 minutes Led by fully trained Walk Leaders Photo taken by Ruth Morris The walking group is aimed at people aged 55+ and the walks are suitable for anyone able to walk for an hour+ without stopping. The aim is to walk at a reasonable pace and cover between 2 to 3 miles. The walks are varied with some local and others further afield. The level and conditions of the walks are indicated via a key. We like to stop for refreshments at a café mostly after walks when possible. Please bring money for refreshments and travel costs The walk leaders will try to set and maintain a pace which they feel is appropriate for the group and route. IF YOU FIND IT IS TOO FAST please SLOW DOWN to a level that is comfortable for you. As a rough guide you should be able to walk and talk, but feel a bit warm with slightly elevated breathing Please DO NOT walk in front of the Walk Leader

As a volunteer walk leader you will be helping people in your community to get active and healthy, providing vital support that they otherwise might not get. As well as ensuring walks are friendly, safe and well run, walk leaders are also our ambassadors for walking, LinkAge and Walking for Health - showing people that walking really can make a big difference to their lives. Back & front walk leaders are required with full training and support provided. Please call Dan Lewin on 0117 305 2365 for a chat about what is involved. Photos taken by Ruth Morris
