ADMINISTRATION ADMINISTRATION, SCHEDULE, IRREGULARITIES 1) Ty Waterman is the GAFL CEO. As the league founder and chief executive, he is ultimately responsible for: a. Calculation of all player cards and the production and distribution of them. b. The payment of all expenses, and the collection of annual dues to underwrite those expenses. c. Determining the teams that will play each season and the structure of each season d. Recruiting, training, and supervising managers e. Making new cards at the end of each MLB season at the request of managers f. Administrating the league and its day- to- day operations including the schedule, deadlines for playing and reporting games, collecting the box scores, compiling statistics and standings and other reports and communication of information. g. Determining when a replay might be appropriate h. Adjudicating disputes when appropriate. 2) The CEO can delegate any or all of his responsibilities for any length of time for any reason to whatever other group or individual he trusts to carry out those duties. 3) A rules committee will clarify and help adjudicate matters related to the rules of play. The CEO has input into the committee's deliberations 4) The rules committee (5 members) will help resolve matters related to league policy or procedures, including appeals of games (see appeals, rule 29). The CEO has input, if he chooses. 5) The eligibility committee (3 members) will make decisions on player eligibility matters with input from CEO. 6) The CEO has authority to call for a league vote on any matter. A vote also can be recommended by the rules committee or the Eligibility Committee YEARLY SCHEDULE AND 40- MAN ROSTERS 1) Games will be played from late November through September, with an off week or weeks for the Christmas and Thanksgiving holidays. A computerized schedule, developed by Gary McIntosh, modified to include interleague games, will be used for GAFL Season Three. 2) Players who have played all or part of five MLB seasons with an MLB club will be eligible to play for that team in GAFL, as long as the player had 140 or more plate

appearance, 50 innings pitched as a starter, or 30 innings pitched as a reliever, in each year with the MLB club. a expansion teams are allowed 4 four year players; b expansion teams are allowed 5 four year players; c expansion teams are allowed 7 four year players; d. The Rockies, Diamondbacks, Rays and Marlins are allowed unlimited number of four year players. 3) For Season Three, there will be an Original (8 teams) and Expansion (7 teams) in each league. Interleague Play will include two games vs. each team in the same division. 4) The designated hitter will be used in the AL but not in the NL. The designated hitter will be used in any interleague games played in an AL park, including any All- Star Games and post- season games. The DH can never be used in an NL home park. Any team can opt out of using a DH at any time. WEEKLY SCHEDULE AND SCORING 1) Each team s set of starting pitchers should be ed to Ty before a series begins. 2) Changes in starting assignments are allowed during each series as long as Ty is notified by 8 p.m. Eastern time Tuesday. 3) Each team s lineup and instructions (if it is a solitaire game) should be ed to the opposing team and copied to Ty by Thursday of game week. 4) Games should be played and scoresheets faxed, mailed or scanned to Ty by 8 p.m. Tuesday, Eastern time. a. Follow Ty's system for scoring as closely as possible. b. Mark great fielding plays with red stars. These would include all CD chart plays and a few others specified on charts. Give one red star for each great play. This will create the GAFL Golden Gloves winners. c. Mark notable occurrences of any sort in "Comments" section. d. Include names of the three MVPs e. Home team must send scoresheets to Ty and visiting team manager ASAP within completion of the game. f. The current major league save rule will be used. 5) Home team should write a summary of the game highlights and post on group e- mail within 24 hours of completion of the game but no later than 8 p.m. Eastern time Tuesday. 6) If a team cannot play its scheduled home game due to vacation, illness, or other personal reasons, the visiting team manager will play the game, and in that case have all the rights of a home manager. If neither the home or visiting manager can play the game, Ty has the authority to play it, as a last resort, if both managers provide lineups and instructions.

GAME PLAYING ERRORS 1) Two types of errors are most common (Both kinds of errors are common and in most cases can be corrected.) a. The manager forgets to follow a rule correctly. b. The manager does not correctly follow the visiting team manager s instructions. 2) If a manager playing solo catches a mistake after the fact but before he has turned in the game results, he should go back and correct it and replay the game from that point, no matter which team benefited from the mistake. 3) If either manager in a head- to- head game catches a mistake, the game should be replayed with the error corrected from the point at which the error occurred. 4) If an error is detected after the game result has been announced, and the result negatively impacts the visiting team, the game will be replayed from the point of the error, with the result corrected. But if the visiting team wins because of a mistake by the home manager, there is no replay. 5) If there is a dispute about how the game has been played, it should be brought first to Ty s attention. In other cases, Ty may see a problem when examining the box score. In either case, Ty will attempt to adjudicate, with the goal of mediating a decision without a formal protest. He can consult the rules committee members. 6) If Baltimore is involved in a protest, rules committee chairman Steve Krevisky will broker the issue, sending it on for a rules committee vote only if the game is officially protested. 7) If a game dispute cannot be resolved by 8 p.m. Eastern time on Tuesday, Ty can extend the deadline to 10 p.m. Wednesday. If not resolved by then, the game might have to be suspended and completed at a later date. 8) If either team s manager feels the decision is unfair, he can file an official appeal. The rules committee will make a ruling. Any member of the board involved in the game must excuse himself from the decision. 9) Grounds for a replay include the use of an ineligible player (an injured player, a player not on the current 25- man roster, or a player who has used up his available innings, plate appearances, or is playing a position for which he has used up his available games). But forfeits should be avoided if at all possible. In most cases, the home manager will replay games from the point that an ineligible player entered the game. STATISTICS Ty will report team and league statistics at regular intervals.

ROSTER MOVES All roster moves (sending a player down from the 25- man roster, callups, DL) should be reported immediately to Ty. Roster Moves/Injury Lists will be announced weekly by Barry Mednick (A.L.) and John Ferguson (N.L.) UPDATED ROSTERS Each October, managers will have the opportunity to change their 40- man rosters to accommodate the release of new cards or for other reasons.

RULES FOR PLAYING THE GAME HANDLING THE FAST ACTION CARDS (FAC) 1) Before game play, spread each deck separately on the floor or table, flipping them randomly. Pick them up randomly and make a pile from top and bottom, turning cards over so that they are not all facing the same way as they landed on the floor. Do not shuffle. 2) When you have made the first deck, place a cardboard cover over top card, with the "1" in the upper left corner. Lightly put a "1" in pencil on the upper left corner of the top card, without revealing the card results. Then make a second deck, cover and mark a 2 in pencil in the upper left hand corner of the top card. 3) TWO DECKS WILL BE USED FOR GAMES. 4) When deck No. 1 is depleted, pick up the discard pile, flip it over and twist it halfway. Mark a 3 in pencil in the upper left hand corner. Do not use side three until the second deck is completed. 5) Then use the second deck, marking a two in the upper left hand corner. 6) On the third and fourth times through the two decks, again flip over, mark a number and twist the discard pile. PITCHER S STUFF 1) Before beginning play: a. Draw a card and look at the Random Number (RN) to determine the visiting pitcher s stuff. b. Draw a new RN to determine the home pitcher s stuff. c. Draw a new RN to determine stuff each time a pitcher comes into the game. d. A starting pitcher has a maximum of PB:2-10 and a minimum of PB:2-5 to start the game. A relief pitcher also has a maximum of PB:2-10 and a minimum of PB:2-5 when determining stuff. 2) Stuff Draw Ranges a. RN 11-14: Great stuff for a starting pitcher. Add 2 to his PB rating. For a relief pitcher, add one to his PB rating. A reliever cannot have great stuff... and cannot add more than one to his PB rating. b. RN 15-18: Good stuff for all pitchers. Add 1 to his PB rating. c. RN 21-78: Normal stuff for all pitcher. No change to his PB rating. d. RN 81-84: Bad stuff for all pitchers. Subtract 1 from his PB rating, but no pitcher can fall below a PB- 5. e. RN 85-88: Terrible stuff for all pitchers. Subtract 2 from his PB rating, but no pitcher can fall below a PB- 5 to start his appearance. 3) If a starting pitcher has Bad or Terrible Stuff, he cannot be removed until he completes five innings, unless his stamina falls below zero.

4) If a relief pitcher has Bad or Terrible Stuff, he cannot be removed until he completes the inning he entered the game, unless his stamina falls below zero. a. EXCEPTION: When a relief pitcher is brought into the game, the manager may announce that he is being brought into the game to face only one batter. Any home manager can make such an announcement, as can either manager in a head- to- head game. A visiting management can specify a pitcher be so used in his written instructions. 5) Pitchers cannot enter the game without the proper amount of rest. If they surpass their rest limits while in a game, they can stay in the game but their PB drops by 2. NORMAL PLAY 1) Turn the FAC and check PB to determine if play goes onto pitcher's or batter's card. 2) If the PB is a number (2-12), determine whether the batter or pitcher controls. The pitcher controls any PB that falls within his current range. The batter controls anything outside that range. 3) Pick a new FAC and read the Random Number (RN). 4) If the Random Number is within the Out range on pitcher's or batter's card, then look at the Out Sequence at the bottom of the NEXT FAC for the correct type of batter (LN, LP, RN, RP, SN, SP). Refer to the appropriate out chart for results of the play. 5) If a WP (wild pitch) or PB (passed ball) occurs on a pitcher s card and no runners are on base, start over with a new FAC as in If anyone is on base, draw a new FAC and check results under Pitch. If yes, all runners advance one base on the WP or PB. If no, resume normal play with a new FAC. a. If the pitcher has two PB or WP numbers and the second (higher) of those numbers is drawn, any catcher with a CD- 4 makes a great stop and play resumes with a new FAC.. For all other catchers, check for the WP or PB as above. 6) If the result is a fractional number, use a RANDOM NUMBER GENERATOR (1 to 100) to determine the result of the play. If the resulting number is above the decimal range, the play is an out; check the next FAC for the Out Sequence and continue as usual. 7) Checking For Errors a. Do not check for errors on hits off pitcher s cards, or for hits on BD, CD, or other charts. b. There are no errors on infield hits

c. If there is a single or a double off a batter s card, get a new FAC and check for an Error by the fielder the ball was hit to. If there is a triple, the home team will designate the fielder the ball is hit to before there is an error check. An error is made if the fielder s error rating falls within the numbers listed. If it is an error, look at the next FAC and check for TYPE of error. Then check Error Sequence at the bottom of the appropriate Out Chart for the final result. d. If there is an asterisk next to the play on the Out Sequence, draw a new FAC. If Error says none, consult the out chart for the result of the play. If there is a number range, an error is made if the fielder s range falls within the numbers listed. e. If there is an error on a ground ball, get another FAC and check for TYPE of error. Then check Error Sequence at the bottom of the appropriate Out Chart for the result. f. If there is an error on a fly ball to the outfield, do not pick a new FAC to check for error type. On a dropped deep fly ball (FD* to any field), consult ERROR RULE chart: DROPPED FLY BALL or LINE DRIVE. g. For errors on infield flies, line drives, and foul pop- ups to catcher, consult ERROR RULE CHART: DROPPED FLY BALLS or LINE DRIVE. 8) If the PB is a BD and no men are on base, it is a foul ball. Draw a new card and get a new PB. If a BD is picked with men on base, get a new FAC, and check the new RN number on the batters BD ratings on his card. If no action occurs, it is another foul ball. Draw a new PB and proceed from there. 9) If the PB is a CD and no men are on base, ignore and draw a new PB. If a CD is drawn with men on base, get a new FAC, and check the card for what fielder is involved in the CD play. Then draw a new FAC and check the RN in Clutch Fielding chart, using the fielder s CD rating. If it is a foul ball, draw a new FAC and proceed from there. 10) If the PB is a Z, get a new FAC and use its RN to find the result on the Z- wild play chart. Follow the Z- chart instructions. Pick a new FAC and new RN if sent to the Z- Fielding or Z- Injury charts. a. If playing in a domed stadium, ignore any rainout and resume play. Otherwise stop the play and report the rained- out game. The domed stadiums include Seattle, Houston, Tampa Bay, Arizona, Milwaukee, but Toronto is playing in Exhibition Stadium. b. If an injury occurs, pick a new FAC and get the RN. Consult the Z Injury Chart. Pick a new FAC and new RN to determine the length of the injury, using the injury ratings of the player(s) involved. 11) If a pitcher who does not have a batting card comes to bat, draw an FAC and use the pitchers generic batting card. Make certain you know if the batter is a lefty, righty or switch hitter.

SPECIAL ADJUSTMENTS TO RESULTS: PLUS & MINUS RATINGS 1) If there is a minus strikeout on a batter s card, subtract from the high end of the pitcher s strikeout range. If the RN falls outside the adjusted strikeout range the result is a batted out. The pitcher always controls the first whole number on his strikeout range, and that cannot be taken away by a batter s minus- K rating. 2) If there is a minus walk on a batter s card (rare for most batters, very common for pitchers who are batting), subtract from the high end of the pitcher s walk range. If the RN falls outside the adjusted walk range it is not a walk. The pitcher always controls the first whole number on his walk range, and that cannot be taken away by a batter s minus- walk rating. 3) If the pitcher has a minus PHR rating, reduce the hitter s HR chances by subtracting the PHR from the high end of the batters Home Run range. However, a batter s home run rating cannot be reduced by more than half. A home run that is taken away becomes a DOUBLE, all runners score, no error check. 4) If the pitcher has a plus HR rating, increase the high end of the batter s home run chances by that amount. However, a batter s home run rating cannot be more than doubled. 5) Some very weak hitting pitchers have minus singles. If a pitcher who is batting has a Minus- 1B on his hitting card, he cannot get that hit on his own card and the amount is deducted from the high end of the opposing pitcher s singles numbers. This will result in the pitcher giving up fewer singles and turning them into outs. A single taken away by a minus single turns it into an out; consult the Out Sequence on the next card.

PITCHER S STAMINA 1) Use a separate sheet to keep track of pitcher's stamina. 2) Subtract one point from the pitcher's stamina rating for each: a. Single b. Earned run i. Do NOT subtract for any unearned runs. If it's not clear whether a run will end up being unearned or not because of an error early in an inning, assume it is unearned for purposes of calculating stamina until the inning is over. ii. Inherited runners do NOT take off a point. c. Walk i. Intentional walks do NOT take off a point. d. Stolen base i. Multiple stolen bases on the same play only take away one point of stamina. e. Error f. Wild pitch g. Hit batsman h. Passed ball. 3) Subtract two points for a double. 4) Subtract three points for a triple. 5) Subtract five points for a home run (4 points for the home run; one point for an earned run). Exception: If the run is unearned, the home run is 4 points (no point for the run). 6) Unless the visiting manager instructs otherwise, visiting pitchers must leave the game when stamina falls below zero. 7) When the pitcher s stamina falls below zero, each point below zero is deducted from the pitcher s PB rating. So, if a 2-8 pitcher s stamina drops to Minus 2, the pitcher would be pitching as a ) Stamina cannot cause the pitcher s rating to fall below 2-2; in other words, even the most tired pitcher still controls any PB draws of 2. INFIELD POSITIONING If the visiting manager fails to specify otherwise, the visiting team plays its infield back in all situations except those in which the score is tied and the go- ahead run is on third in the seventh inning or later. Playing the infield in means all four infielder are playing in. However, a manager may play his corner infielders in while leaving the shortstop and second baseman back.

RUNNERS ADVANCING ON BASE HITS 1) Determine the type of hit by checking the random number of the same FAC that produced the hit. If the number is divisible by 12, it's a Texas Leaguer (Type #1). If divisible by 4 but not by 12, it's a Bloop (Type #2). If it's an odd number, it's Normal (#3). Otherwise it's a Smash (#4). 2) Runners may never take an extra base on infield singles. 3) Use Runners Advancing on Base Hits chart. Cross reference the runners speed (OBR) with the outfielder's arm and check the type of hit. If attempting to advance, draw a new FAC and get a random number to see if runner is out or safe. Any number higher than the base runner s adjusted safe range is out. 4) With two outs, the runners chances are adjusted by adding the amounts in Table VI according to type of hit. 5) Pitchers without their own offensive cards are OBR E. 6) Unless the visiting manager specifies otherwise, runners will attempts to advance any safe chance of 60 or higher. 7) OBR A, B, or C runners on first automatically advance to third base on any throw home. However, a manager of the defensive team can elect to let the run score and try to throw the runner out at third, using the rule above, to calculate the chances. If a runner is thrown out at third, the run still scores. (In a game that is not played head- to- head, only the home manager has this option.) TRIPLES Home manager picks the OF position the triple is hit to. In head- to- head games, the defensive manager picks the outfielder. DEFENSIVE OPTION PLAY CHART 1) This chart is used with a runner on third and the infield in when called for on an Out Chart. The manager of the team at bat decides whether to send the runner home. 2) Unless the visiting manager specifies otherwise, all OBR A runners, but no other runners, will attempt to advance on the Defense Option Play Chart. ADVANCING ON FLY BALLS 1) The offense can always use the Advancing on Fly Ball Chart to attempt to advance even if the Out Chart holds the runner.

2) OBR A, B, or C runners on second automatically advance to third base on any throw home. However, a manager of the defensive team can elect to let the run score and try to throw the runner out at third, using rule above, to calculate the changes. If a runner is thrown out at third THE RUN STILL SCORES. (In a game that is not played head to head, only the home manager has this option) STOLEN BASE CHART 1) If the manager attempts to steal, pick an FAC and use the RN and the Stolen Base Jump Chart to determine whether the runner gets his jump. If the runner can t attempt a steal, he must wait one batter before trying again. Lefties reduce the runners jump rating one level. 2) Draw a second RN to determine whether the steal is successful, consulting the Stolen Base Chart, using the runner s steal success rating. 3) Pitchers without a batting card are E/E basestealers. 4) For a double steal: a. First, determine whether the lead runner can get his lead. i. If he cannot, no one can steal. b. If the lead runner can get his lead, next draw a new RN to see if the trail runner can get his lead. i. If the trail runner does not get a lead, he is held and only the lead runner may attempt to steal. c. If both runners get their leads, the opposing manager can determine which base to throw to. d. Pick a new FAC and RN and determine the result. If there are no instructions by the opposing manager, the play is on the lead runner. e. If a play is made on the lead runner, the trail runner automatically advances; if the lead runner was out, the trail runner does not get credit for a stolen base (and no stamina points are deducted from the pitcher). If the play is made on the trail runner, the lead runner automatically advances and gets credit for a stolen base. HIT AND RUN CHART 1) The hit and run can only be used with a runner on first or runners on FIRST AND SECOND. 2) When a hit and run is declared, draw a PB to see who controls the play. a. Use the pitcher's PB rating at the time of the hit and run, MINUS TWO. (A PB:9 pitcher becomes a PB:7; a PB:8 pitcher becomes a PB:6, etc, vs. the hit and run.) 3) If the PB is a Z, CD, or BD, the play is handled normally.

4) If the PB falls into the pitcher's PB range, MINUS TWO, a RN is drawn and the result read off the pitcher's card, with these modifications: a. SINGLES: All runners advance two bases; one base on infield singles. Don t use baserunning chart. No error check. b. STRIKEOUTS: Batter strikes out. Base runner (s) get an automatic jump and must attempt to steal. Use runners steal rating to determine a steal attempt. With runners on first and second there is the potential for a double steal. i. IF THE BATTER TAKES AWAY THE STRIKEOUT. The result is an out, as in normal play, and draw a new FAC and look at Out Sequence. c. WALKS: Handled normally. d. GROUND OUTS: Remain ground outs, but runner(s) advance one base. Check asterisks for errors. No double plays. e. FLY OUTS: Batter out, runner cannot advance. Check asterisk for errors. (Use Runner Advance on Fly Ball Option Chart if you want to try to advance.) f. LINE DRIVES: Double Play with the lead runner caught off base on liners to all infield positions, including the pitcher. Check asterisk for error. g. HBP: Handle normally. Batter hit by pitch. h. WP and PB: Handle normally. If it is a pitch: No, start over with a new FAC (the hit- and- run can be tried again, or not.) If it is a pitch: YES, runners are credited with a stolen base. 5) If the PB is ABOVE the pitcher's modified (Minus Two) range, THE BATTER CONTROLS THE ACTION. A new RN is drawn. The BATTER S HIT AND RUN CHART is used in this case. BUNTING FOR BASE HIT 1) A batter with an OBR- A or B rating can bunt for a base hit once a game. No bunting for a base hit is allowed with a runner on third. A squeeze play must be used with a runner on third. 2) There is no restriction on sacrifice or squeeze plays. FIELDERS FORCED TO PLAY OUT OF POSITION 1) No player can play a position that he is not rated for except in case of ejection or injury. A player playing a position he is not rated for, or a position for which he has exhausted his eligibility is a CD- 1 with an error rating of 10 and the worst possible throwing arm. 2) If a pitcher is used in another defensive position due to an injury or ejection to the last remaining position player, he is also a CD- 1, E- 10, T- 2.

PLAYER USAGE 1) No relief pitcher may pinch hit. He must already be in the game to bat in the pitcher's spot in the lineup to garner a plate appearance. Relief pitchers are listed on each team's roster and have been designated as such by Ty. 2) Starting pitchers may pinch hit. National League managers have batting cards available for all starting pitchers. American League managers who feel that they would like a hitting card for a player, ask Paul and Ty to create that player card for use. Player cards must be created before the game in order for that player to be eligible for use. 3) Both starting and relief pitchers may pinch run.

HEAD TO HEAD GAMES VISITING MANAGERS INSTRUCTIONS Home team managers are encouraged head- to- head games by phone, instant messaging, e- mail, or in person whenever mutually agreeable. There is no limit to the number of games team may play head- to- head. PLAYERS ON BOTH TEAMS When two teams meet who have the same player on their roster, the visiting team cannot use that player. The visitors can bring up a player for one series to replace him. At the end of the series, the two- team player or the replacement must be returned to the minor league roster, without using the 10- day demotion rule. RELIEF PITCHING The visiting manager should submit a list of at least three relievers to be used and in what order in a solitaire game. 1) The home manager, or the visiting manager in a head- to- head game, can choose to let a pitcher finish the game with a rating of 2-2 even if other pitchers are available to relieve. 2) Under no circumstances can a relief pitcher start a game unless he is rated as a starter. 3) Under no circumstances can a starting pitcher who has a RR:0 be used in relief.

ELIGIBILITY RULES. ROSTERS 1) Plate appearances include ABs, walks, HBPs and sacrifices (flies and bunts). 2) Anytime a player plays a secondary position in a game, even for an inning, it counts against his allowable games at that position. 3) When players complete their allowable innings or plate appearances their regular season is over. They cannot be used in a tie- breaker game for a playoff spot, but they can be used in the playoffs. 4) If a pitcher exceeds his available innings for the season as a result of a double or triple play, there is no penalty. 5) If a home team manager or a visiting manager in a head- to- head game uses a player who is ineligible, he must replay the game from the point the ineligible player entered the game if he won the game. Ineligible players include injured players, those not on the major league roster, those on the disabled list, and those who have exhausted their availability. 6) If a home team manager uses an ineligible player on the visiting team, there is no penalty. 7) In a forfeit, all statistics for the game shall be considered official up to the point of discovery of the forfeit, except the final score shall be 9-0 and the starting pitchers will be given the win and loss, with no saves possible. Replays are preferred over forfeits. ROSTER MOVES 1) Players sent to the minors must remain there ten days (according to the league schedule, including any off- days), unless no other player is available to play a position on the 25- man roster (because of injuries or expiration of availability) or the player is ineligible by appearing for both teams. 2) There are no restrictions on the number of roster moves during a season. 3) Players who are injured cannot be sent to the minors. He can be left on the active roster or placed on the disabled list. 4) Players who are put on the Disabled List must remain on that list for at least 15 days in the schedule. 5) Rosters expand to 40 players on Sept. 1 of the schedule, and after that no roster moves are necessary.

PITCHER S REST 1) Use pitchers' rest chart to determine if a starter or reliever is sufficiently rested. 2) A starter must have the necessary rest (as on Pitcher's Rest chart) before entering any game as a reliever. 3) After relieving, a pitcher have one extra day of rest before being allowed to start again. 4) A relief pitcher pitching on consecutive days will have a limit on the innings he can pitch before tiring. If he remains in the game after that limit, he is immediately reduced two points regardless of stamina. 5) A pitcher cannot be used without proper rest. The pitcher rest rules are printed weekly. a. If there is no rested pitcher available at the time when a pitcher is injured or ejected, the unrested replacement pitcher will have his PB reduced by two after the draw that determines his stuff, and is not limited by the 2-5 lower limit.

ALL- STAR GAME 1) The manager of the team with the best record in the league at the All- Star break will manage the league All- Star Team. 2) All managers will vote for players in the starting lineups. 3) The game managers will pick all pitchers and reserves. 4) Pitchers will follow normal rest rules during, and after the All- Star Game. Any innings pitched in the All- Star Game will count for purposes of rest rules. 5) Managers cannot let their players refuse to participate in the All- Star Game. 6) All- Star pitchers cannot pitch for more than two innings. 7) Injuries occurring in the All- Star game will carry over into the regular season. 8) All star innings, plate appearances and position played in the All- Star game do not count against their season allowable limits. 9) There is an off day for all teams the day before the All- Star game and only make- up games are scheduled the day after the game... per MLB rules. 10) The Season Three All- Star game will be played in a National League park.

POST- SEASON PLAYOFF STRUCTURE 1) Five teams make the playoffs in each league. The Original and Expansion division champs are rated the number one and two seeds. The next three teams make the playoffs based on winning pct. a. If there is a tie for the 5th spot in the playoffs... a one game playoff will occur the day after the regular season ends. The stats count in the league... as do a one game playoff for the championship of a division. b. If there is a tie for either the 3rd or 4th spots in the playoffs, it will be decided by the head to head records. 2) The 4th and 5th teams play a Wildcard Playdown (best 2 of 3). 3) First Round: 1 vs. 4 or 5 (best of five) 4) First Round: 2 vs. 3 (best of five) 5) ALCS and NLCS: best of seven. 6) GAFL World Series (best of seven). 7) There will be one day of rest in the playoff world series schedule between the end of the Division Series and the beginning of the Championship Series, and one day off between the end of the Championship Series and the start of the World Series... per MLB procedure. PLAYOFF PLAYING RULES 1) Teams can set their 25- man roster anew at the beginning of each playoff series. 2) Pitcher rest rules remain the same as in the regular season, including rules on starter- relievers. 3) Pitchers who are starters only cannot relieve, and relievers- only cannot start. Starter relievers are limited to starting or relieving in the post- season for a total of the same number of games they are allowed during the regular season. 4) Rules on two- team players are the same as in the regular season. The visiting team forced to sit a player can replace him for away games. 5) Players who are rated for 15 or more games at a position during the season can play there without limits in the post- season. Otherwise, players cannot play more games at a position during the entire post- season than they were eligible to play during the season. IF ANYTHING IS MISSED IN THESE RULES, TY WILL MAKE A DECISION WITH THE ADVICE OF THE RULES COMMITTEE AND COMMISSIONERS.
