1 LUCY THE SLUT CALLBACK MATERIALS Welcome to the AVE Q callbacks. Please read this carefully Please print out sides and bring them with you, if you do not have the ability to print we will have some at the callbacks for you to use. Please make sure you have looked for your name in multiple places on the callback list, you may have been called back for multiple parts. Please be on time to the callbacks. Everyone is called at 10:30am for dance. If you re not a dancer don t freak out, this show s more of a movement show than a dance show. Do your best. Bring your dance shoes (character and or jazz shoes) if you have them. After dance, we ll start with singing. Please review all your callback materials. *** IMPORTANT *** Remember if you are auditioning for one of the puppet characters you must sing in character. Some puppet characters are based on Sesame Street characters, their voices are very specific. Nicky, think Sesame Streets Ernie Rod, think Sesame Streets Bert Trekkie Monster, think Sesame Streets Cookie Monster Lucy The Slut, think a mix of Mae West and Miss Piggy (more Mae West) Mrs. Thistletwat is a stereotypical crabby conservative old school teacher The Bad News Bears are cute little puppet bears who are loud and obnoxious Princeton & Kate Monster are not parodies of specific Sesame Street characters but definitely must have puppet voices that are closer to humans. Gary Coleman, while not a puppet is based on the real life Gary Coleman. HE SHOULD NOT BE PLAYED CARTOONISH. THINK OF HIM AS A YOUNG MAN TRYING HIS HARDEST TO BE AN ADULT After dancing and singing we will read, after reading those being considered for Puppet Characters will be kept for a puppet seminar to evaluate your puppet handling skills. AUDITIONS WILL START AT 10:30 & WILL NOT END TILL 3:00 PLEASE BLOCK OUT TIME. If you are only called back for Brian, Christmas Eve or Gary Coleman you may be let go earlier. Review your materials. There are tons of examples on YouTube for all the characters in this show, do your research and come prepared. Thanks! Kate becomes rather jealous. Princeton is reassuring and, with the coaxing of the Bad Idea Bears, Princeton and Kate end up going home together for some serious mashing. Look who's coming! =+9c- Lucy's Mu~ic Lucy comes over. What's up. Hi, I'm Princeton. LUCY LUCY Lucy. Man, am I beat. I still haven't figured out where I'm gonna crash tonight. Feel her boob! Shhhh! But I got sick of picking the fur out of my teeth. If your teeth are the problem, I could take out a couple. (breaking them up) Hey - it was nice talking to you, Lucy! LUCY Have fun with your Monster. But when you're ready for a real woman, you know where to find me. Lucy leaves. Oh man, Kate, I'm sorry. No, I understand. (flirting) You're irresistible, is all. Take her home! She's wasted! Would you guys cut that out? BOY BEAR GIRL BEAR (to Kate) Kate- Hmmmm? I think you look really beautiful tonight.
