That is, it is assumed that the flyer is standing on her right leg for all body positions, unless specifically noted as opposite.

4 TCI MODULE 6 Stunts Level 1 Page 4 of 11 DISMOUNTS There is some misunderstanding about what is considered a dismount versus a transition. Per the rules: Movements are only considered Dismounts if released to a cradle or released and assisted to the performing surface. The first thing required of a dismount is the top person must be Released from everyone on the ground. If top person remains in contact with a base or the back, the skill is not a dismount. The second part is the top must land in a cradle or on the floor. Landing prone automatically makes the skill a transition, not a dismount.

Knee Level Double Based Knee Stand Start with right leg placed in pocket of right base Hands on base(s) shoulder, or on wrists of back base Push off the ground with the left foot standing quickly onto the right leg (step, lock, tighten) Lock out leg while pulling into tight hollow position Place left leg into the pocket of left base and hit flyer body position Each base kneels down onto one knee Knee closest to flyer at 90 angle with ankle and knee in line Bases stay very close to one another with feet overlapping Hold Flyer's foot in the "pocket" of the hip Wrap nearest arm around flyer's leg hugging to body Furthest arm holds at the front of the flyer's foot Engage stomach and leg muscles for stability Hold flyer close to body Use all fingers and thumbs for gripping Back spot stance with left foot forward Hands on flyer s hip bones Fingers to flyer s front and thumb on back Lift up and support flyer throughout skill Maintain eye contact with flyer s upper back Single Based Knee Stand Start with right leg placed in pocket of base Hands on base(s) shoulder, or on wrists of back base Push off the ground with the left foot standing quickly onto the right leg (step, lock, tighten) Lock out leg while pulling into tight hollow position Hit flyer body position

6 TCI MODULE 6 Stunts Level 1 Page 6 of 11 Base kneels down onto one knee Knee closest to flyer at 90 angle with ankle and knee in line Bases stay very close to one another with feet overlapping Hold flyer's foot in the "pocket" of the hip Wrap nearest arm around flyer's leg hugging to body Furthest arm holds at the front of the flyer's foot Engage stomach and leg muscles for stability Hold flyer close to body Use all fingers and thumbs for gripping Back spot stance with left foot forward Hands on flyer s hip bones Fingers to flyer s front and thumb on back Lift up and support flyer throughout skill Maintain eye contact with flyer s upper back Thigh Level Thigh Level Skills are not often used mainly do to the difficulty of holding the base position. Flyers must ensure that they place their foot in the pocket of the base s hip where the leg meets the trunk of the body. Back spots use a spot at the hips grip through the skill. Double Based Thigh Stand & Single Based Thigh Stand Bases stand in stunt lunge creating level platforms with the bent leg Bases stay close together with front feet overlapping Hold Flyer's foot in the "pocket" of the hip Wrap nearest arm around Flyer's leg just above their knee hugging to body Furthest arm holds Flyer s toe Engage stomach and leg muscles for stability Two Foot Double Based Gut Stand Stay tight through arms as bases dip Stand up pulling hips under staying tight and hollow Feet shoulder width apart when the stunt hits Gut Level Bases stand feet apart with bent knees, back upright Eyes focused on Flyer's foot as it comes to them Grasp foot using wide fingers and flat palms Grip under the ball of the foot and under the heel with spread fingers Dip through legs and shrug shoulders as the base stands to legs straight Hold at or slightly above belly button with elbows bent and tucked tight against the torso

7 TCI MODULE 6 Stunts Level 1 Page 7 of 11 Back spot stance with left foot forward Hands on flyer s waist through the load in Fingers to flyer s front and thumb on back Lift up and support flyer throughout skill Hands to calves or thighs; ankle and thigh for single leg positions Maintain eye contact with Flyer s head Single Foot Double Based Gut Stand Stay tight through arms as bases dip Stand up pulling hips under staying tight and hollow Feet shoulder width apart when the stunt hits Main Base (at Flyer s right side) holds under ball of foot and at the heel Secondary Base (at Flyer s Left side) holds under the centre of the Flyer s foot with right hand Left hand grips at the base of the flyer's ankle or on the shin, or alternatively may use the Secondary grip Bases stay close together through the skill *Variation: Remove the back spot with left side base gripping under the foot with left hand and right hand on the flyer's calf Back spot holds right ankle with right hand and grips the right thigh with left hand All dip together straightening legs and bringing flyer's foot to gut level Back spot gives lift through the ankle and support on the thigh Maintain eye contact with Flyer s head

8 TCI MODULE 6 Stunts Level 1 Page 8 of 11 Single Leg, Single Based Gut Stand Start with right leg placed in right base's grip Hands on base(s) shoulder Pressure through the ball of the left foot on the ground Push through the left foot standing quickly onto the right leg Lock out leg while pulling into tight hollow position Hit flyer body position after stunt is stable Base stands feet apart with bent knees, back upright Grasp foot using fingers and flat palms Grip under the ball of the foot and under the heel with spread fingers Dip through legs and shrug shoulders as the base stands to legs straight Hold at or slightly above belly button with elbows bent and tucked back Single Base Variation: Grip using front under the front or centre of the foot reaching around. Back arm hooks around the flyer's thigh Back spot holds right ankle with right hand and grips the right thigh with left hand All dip together straightening legs and bringing flyer's foot to gut level Back spot gives lift through the ankle and support on the thigh Maintain eye contact with flyer s upper back Show and Go MASTER THE SHOW AND GO FIRST, before proceeding to the double based prep. Stay tight through arms and core as bases dip After the dip, stand up pulling hips under staying tight and hollow with arms by side Stunt goes straight up and returns to load position with flyer feet and knees remaining together the entire time Flyer looks down with eyes (not entire head) to see shoulders of bases upon returning to load position Bases stand feet apart with bent knees, back upright Grip under the ball of the foot and under the heel, pinkies together with spread fingers Dip through legs and shrug shoulders as the base stands to legs straight Drive hands upwards and toward centre using power from legs and shoulder shrug Rotate grip to fingers coming from over the toes on front hand and from under the heel with back hand Stunt will feel weightless at the top with proper timing, and does not stop at the top Return in reverse order directly back to Load Position Back spot stance with left foot forward Hands quickly to squeeze ankles as flyer hits load in position Dip with the bases and lift up and squeeze feet together Maintain eye contact with hips and head while the stunt is extended

9 TCI MODULE 6 Stunts Level 1 Page 9 of 11 Prep Level Double Based Prep Stay tight through arms as bases dip Perform just like a Show and Go, but instead of returning to load, keep legs tight and straight Feet in shoulder width stance or Cupie Bases stand feet apart with bent knees, back upright Perform this skill just like a show and go, but instead of returning to Load Position, rotate the hands to the flower grip as the foot reaches collar bone height Hold at collar bone level with elbows close to each other and hands close to the base s body Back spot stance with left foot forward Perform this skill just like a show and go, but instead of returning to Load Position, squeeze the calves and control to prep level Extended (Prep-Level) Skills for Level 1 Extended Dead Man Lift *This skill has extended arms for bases but is considered a PREP LEVEL skill based on the height of the flyer. See USASF Glossary prep level for clarification. Start with hands on bases shoulders Right leg lifted up forward with straight leg and pointed toe As the bases dip bend standing leg pushing off the ground upward lifting the hips bringing feet together Push through arms as body moves into tight hollow position (supine position) Hold tight hollow position with chin to chest and arms on the front of the body Variation: Dead Man Lift to Prep level and dip to extend Main base holds under the flyer s lifted leg at the calf and right hand on Flyer s thoracic spine Left base hold on the flyer s thigh and on Flyer s thoracic spine Dip through the legs boosting the flyer upward bringing the legs together Drive arms up to extension looking up at the flyer Fingers should be spread for good grip with palms flat (fingers point away from flyer s centre) Hold Flyer in Butterfly grip at shoulder blade level As bases dip, boost Flyer s torso upward- use your legs Drive arms up to extension with Flyer above and slightly in front to maintain eye contact with Flyer s torso Dismount from Extended Dead Man: Cradle or bump down to shoulder level

10 TCI MODULE 6 Stunts Level 1 Page 10 of 11 Extended V-Sit *This skill has extended arms for bases but is considered a PREP LEVEL skill based on the height of the flyer. See USASF Glossary prep level for clarification. Start with hands on bases shoulders (can also start with hands on back spot s wrists as they hold the waist) Right leg lifted up straight and to the outside with pointed toe As the bases dip bend standing leg pushing off the ground lifting the second leg up and out Keep chest up and tight pushing off the bases shoulders pulling arms to V or onto hips Keep hips underneath with legs rotated out, stay tight to not roll hips back Variation: V-Sit to Prep level and dip to extend Main base holds under the flyer s lifted leg at the thigh and right hand on the flyer s ankle Left base stands knees bent to hold on the flyer s thigh and on the ankle (ensure base grips are the SAME) Dip through the legs boosting the flyer upward keeping the legs wide Drive arms up to extension looking up at the flyer Fingers should be spread for good grip with thumbs to the inside of the flyer s leg and finger to the outside for control Hold flyer at the hips Dip with flyer and bases lifting flyer up quickly to extended arm level As the stunt passes above prep level flick flyer upward and quickly move hands to bicycle seat grip under the flyer s bottom Hold slightly in front to maintain eye contact with the flyer s torso Dismount from Extended V-Sit: Cradle or bump down to shoulder level
