1 On Your Toes February + March 2018 Newsletter It is almost SPRING TIME, and that means we are gearing up for the busiest time of the dance season. Recital is in May and pictures are right around the corner. We have received many of our classes costumes, but not all of the costumes are in yet. Please wait patiently as we are doing our best to make sure everyone gets their costume before pictures. This year Hardison photography will return to do our pictures. Pictures are scheduled for April 9th 14th for the Goldsboro location and April 16th and 17th for the Beulaville location. For Goldsboro students, each class will have pictures taken during their regular class time unless otherwise notified and a schedule will be sent out for Beulaville students. Pictures will be available for ordering with the photographer Picture Proof week. Package information from our Photographer will be sent out, as we receive it! Be sure to check that you have the right tights and shoes and accessories. Check with your instructor to make sure that they have not made any changes. Do you have a recital handbook? This handbook contains important information about the recital. Handbooks can be found online on our website. Stay informed so we can make this year s recital a success! A Step of Class P.O. Company Tryouts: May 4th (Goldsboro) May 5th (Beulaville) We will be ing Audition Packets next month, with all of the information and requirements. As well as times for each age group. The following list is the criteria that MUST be met to tryout: You must be 6 years of age as of December 31, You must have 2 years of dance training. You must have danced with ASOC for at least 1 year. Your account must be up to date as of April 30, 2018.

Focuses on basic acrobatic tricks, conditioning, balance and flexibility. We will perfect cartwheels and walkovers you ll flip over the fun! Acro Camp: Ages 8-up. For the more advanced acrobat, this camp focuses on power tricks, controlled tricks, flexibility, balance and conditioning. Want to learn ariel variations and handsprings? This camp is for you! Trolls Camp: Ages 3-7. Everybody move your hair and feel united! We want you to come ready to sing, dance and help princess Poppy save the trolls from the Bergans! American Girl Camp: Ages 3-7. Do you have a doll just like you? Have you ever wanted to dance, play dress up, and make special crafts for your doll? This camp is all about you and your doll! Disney Camp: Ages 3-7. Disney makes dreams come true! Come sing, dance and act out our favorite Disney movies and songs! Make Way for Moana and Let It Go with Elsa. This camp will be offered once a week for 6 weeks! Youth Leadership Camp: Ages 12-up. This camp is a requirement for students interested in becoming a teachers assistant. You will learn the basics of classroom management, safety skills including CPR, injury prevention and maintenance, spotting techniques and basic office protocol.
