1 ODD SQUAD AUDITION PACKAGE SYNOPSIS: From the producers of Dino Dan and Annedroids, ODD SQUAD is a live-action series that follows the adventures of two kid agents as they investigate weird activity in their town and figure out how to put things right again. ODD SQUAD is a government agency run by kids in suits equipped with the world s most advanced and unpredictable gadgetry. Whenever anything strange or unusual or just plain nuts (including giant nuts falling from the sky) happens, it s Odd Squad s job to put things right again. Odd Squad has a fun, goofy and irreverent style that includes sight gags, one-liners, absurd situations and plenty of slapstick. Also embedded in each Odd Squad case is a math concept aimed at 1st graders. SEEKING: TALENT MUST BE CANADIAN ***Everyone who has already self taped is still under consideration. Character Descriptions: Uses a wheelchair (Production would like to cast someone who actually uses a wheelchair so please suggest talent that match those specs). Agent Oke is a super serious agent who is dry, blunt and a stickler for the rules. Oke is not mean, he is just doing his job, and just isn't that interested in your feelings. Oke doesn't really get jokes, but does sometimes laugh at things that aren't funny. His social skills aren't the greatest. Talent must be CANADIAN. PRINCIPAL.

4 1. Frame yourself (the talent) from head to toe. Start off with a brief introduction into camera: state your NAME, AGE, HEIGHT, and LOCATION. 2. Now, zoom in so that you re framed from the top of the head to the mid chest area ONLY and keep that frame for the entire scene. There should be little to no space over the top of your head. Be sure that the lighting is bright. Make sure that the sound quality is clear. It is very important that we can clearly see and hear you. 3. For the READER- Stand beside the camera opposite the talent, and make sure the talent is using you, the reader, for their eye line and NOT looking into the camera. Make sure to use a nice clear voice, make it easy for the actor to respond to you 4. Now, perform the attached scenes! Make sure to memorize the lines and feel free to tape the scene as many times as you'd like, but only send us one take, the BEST take. SIDES ARE ATTACHED! 5. Good one, partner. OKE & Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. They stop abruptly and go back to working. Ms. O enters. MS. O I see you ve met Oke and Opaganda. * Olympia and Otis look to Ms. O confused. * MS. O (CONT D) (a bit annoyed) They re a special division of Odd Squad. They were sent here by the Big O. We re here to make sure you re not breaking any rules. And you ve been breaking a lot of them. For example: your Odd Squad is over budget. OTIS What does that mean? Your budget is the amount of money you re allowed to spend every month. Like an allowance. But this Odd Squad is spending too much money. This month you spent one hundred dollars more than you re supposed to. So we re shutting down headquarters.

7 S246 "Xs and Os" PINK October 7, OCEAN (to hammock) Gorshlonden. (to Olympia) That s goodbye in hammock language. (then) Nah I m just joking. Hammocks talk mostly in beeps. CUT TO: 7 INT. ODD SQUAD HEADQUARTERS - BULLPEN - DAY Olympia races along, passing her desk, and notices Oke and * Opaganda marking things with post-it notes marked with an X. * OLYMPIA What are you doing? Marking things we want to take when you fail and this Odd Squad gets shut down. She writes an X with a fancy gold pen and sticks a note on one of Olympia s pens. OLYMPIA Why do you need my pen when you have those fancy gold pens? Your pens make my pens feel better about themselves. Olympia notices Oke staring weirdly at her. * I like your glasses. Oke puts a note on Olympia s glasses. Olympia sighs and runs * out. NOTE: per standards the paper should not completely cover Olympia s eyes. 8 INT.
