1 RULE BOOK Sl No Name of the Event Code-Zilla Event Code CST1 Rules 1. Two players per team 2. Entrance fees is Rs-200 per team or 100/- per person 3. There will be a total of 4 rounds Round-1:C-yourself Round-2: Blind Coding Round -3:Cross Coding Round-4:Poison your enemy *Decision of the evaluators will be final. *Codes will be either in C or C++ 1. COUNTER STRIKE- Each team must contain 4 players[rs:400] 2. FIFA- Each team must contain 2 players[rs:200] 1 LAN Gaming CST2 You are responsible for your actions and equipment. We are not liable for anything that happens to you and your equipment. Do not attempt to steal items from the event or anyone else. Cheating is not tolerated. Do not bring any type of hacks/viruses/etc. to the event. Listen to those in charge. Coordinator s decision will be considered as the final decision. We reserve the right to remove anyone from the event for any reason we fit. Team Combination: 4 Boys + 3 Girls =7[Rs:400 & No Food Coupons] Mix-Cricket CS3 Opening batsman and bowler is compulsorily a girl. If girl gets out then next batsman will be girl and if boy gets out then next batsman will be boy. Bowling side should be mentioned mandatorily Girls can bowl above the arm.
2 Boy should not bend the knees and he should not bowl over the arm. Line touch is no ball. Only girls can hit six. Maximum one over per player. Byes, overthrow, wide, no ball have extra runs. 2nd tip within the crease is not a dead ball and no runs to dead ball. If the ball bounces above the shoulder it s no ball. No full toss ball is allowed, it s considered as no ball. Umpire decision is final decision. EET1 No. of participants: 4 in each group No. of rounds: 3[Treasure hunt, Snake and ladder & model making] ROUND:1 Treasure Hunt Clues will be given to the team at once. The Treasure Hunt consists of number of clues, each one leading to one or more treasures. Participants are not allowed to seek external help. Never tamper with another team's treasure. When you pick up your own team's treasure at a location, leave the other treasures hidden there exactly as you found them. Based on the time taken for the treasure hunt the groups will be qualified for the next round. 2 Mystery House ROUND:2 Snake and ladder The aim of the game is to be the first player to reach the end by moving across the board from square one to the final square. You move left to right across the first row following the numbers on the board, and then right to left on the next row and so on. The group has to select one member for moving on the board as counter. Other members of the group will toss the dice to determine number of squares the counter should be moved. When a player lands on a square containing the bottom of a ladder or the head of a snake, the team is challenged with a question. If the answer is correct, the player moves up to the square at the top of the ladder or he stays at the head of the snake. If not, he stays at the bottom of the ladder or he moves down the head of the snake. The first player to reach the end of the route by the exact toss of the dice,that team will be qualified for next round. ROUND:3 Model Making Theme based. Each group has to build a model for the given theme within specified time. Based on the innovation used for the model prize will be awarded.
3 Brain Train EET2 Team Size: 2 No of Rounds: 3 1 st Round: Rapid Fire Technical questions will be asked for the participants for 1 minute. The team which answers maximum number of questions in one minute will move to the next round. Each question carries 1 mark. The participants shall not be allowed to use mobile or other electronic gadgets. Audience shall not give any hints or clues to the competitors. Replacement of any participant of a team is not allowed after registration. 2 nd Round: Visual Round Short listed teams in the 1st round will be allowed to participate in this round. In this round a visual (picture or video) clip will be displayed on the screen related to the question The participants are given with 20sec time to visualize the picture. Questions will be asked related to visual. Each question carries 5 marks. The team scoring maximum marks will move to the final round. 3 rd Round: Mock CID Short listed teams in the 2nd round will be allowed to participate in this round No interaction between inter teams. Crime-investigation scene will be provided. The clues will help participents to solve the case and the team which solves the puzzle first wins the game. Teams seeking help from outside will be disqualified right away. The participants are expected to solve the case within 15 mins. The decision of the quiz-master will be final and will not be subjected to any change.
4 Mixed Lagori Naav Vamza [Boat race] EE3 MET1 Team size 5. ( There should be minimum of 2 girls and minimum of 2 boys) Knockout Rounds Its mandatory for the boys to throw the ball with left hand if he is righted handed person and vice versa.(this rule is not applicable for the girls). The team that tries to hit the lagoori is called the "seeker team", and the defending team is called the "hitter team". The team that wins the "toss" will have the chance to choose to be the seeker team or the hitter team. If any technical quires and problems arises during the match then only team captain is entertained. The captain can appeal to the referee for the following decisions: i)one bounce lagoori break ii)one bounce catch alternate pass iv)line break the ball takes one bounce and hits the pile of stones, where in, if the opposite team member catches the ball then its declared as "all out".(then the opposite team will get 2 points) The team cannot appeal for "lagoori", till all the stones are piled up. The team that earns the maximum points will be considered for the next level of the game. There are 2 chief referees and 4 on pitch referees to guide the game. Referees decision is final. Each team will get 7 minutes, to earn points. (one lagoori =1 point) The hitter team should not carry the ball and run, they should pass the ball from their position If there is a tie, then each member of the team should hit the lagoori in one chance. The team which hits maximum lagoori will be declared as the winner If any changes made by the referee on spot by means of fair decision then both the team members should abide by the rules. 1. The boat size should be Maximum of 250 mm x 250mm x 250mm 2. The boat should have maximum of two motors having 250rpm 3. The boat design should have the ability to float in the water without touching the ground. 4. Minimum depth of water in the arena 150 mm. 5. The boat should not damage the arena which in case may leads to disqualification of the team. 6. Team size maximum of 4 participants.
5 3 Robo Competition MET2 The robots build by given dimension and specification will be allowed for game. The rounds will be decided according to groups participated. The robot which gains maximum points will be the winner. Rules & regulation: The team should not consist of more than 4 members. Each member from same college is not mandatory. The robot should follow the robot specifications provided. Any deviation from the mentioned specifications will lead to disqualification. Once the race begins, three hand touches are allowed, if your taking hand touch you have to start from last check point. No test practice will be allowed on the main arena. Terminals for charging the battery will not be provided in the college. The arena may subject to change before the commencement of any round. If the Robot crosses a checkpoint, and moves off track, then the Robot would be placed back on the previous checkpoint crossed. The decision of the judges will be final and abiding. Argument with judges in any form will lead to the disqualification of the team. Robot specifications: Lego kits are strictly not allowed in any form. The L X B X H should not exceed 250 mm X 250 mm X 250 mm. The net weight should not exceed 3 kgs. However a tolerance of 5% is acceptable. Power source should be on board (i.e., on the robot body placed in the arena). Wired or wireless robot are allowed If RF (Wireless) controller is used, dual frequency is a must in order to avoid RF jamming. The dual frequency should be such that it can be switched to either
6 frequency just before the start of the run The length of the wire (for wired bots) should be long enough to cover the whole track (around 17m or more) and the wire should remain slack during the complete run. The maximum allowed voltage to power the robot is 24V. The team would consist of minimum 4 members. The structure of the robot should not be changed during the competition. If the robot by any chances moves away from the track, the robot will be kept back to the previous checkpoint crossed with a penalty. During the game play, if any part of a robot is destructed/ dismantled/ damaged the participant will be given a timeout to repair at an expense of a penalty, while the next participant for will be called the play. Only 1 timeout will be given for any participant and the participant will repair it without the help from the mentor. A total of 5 minutes run time (arena time) will be given to every participant. A maximum of 3 attempts will be allowed in this 5 minutes, the commencement of the second attempt will be on request of the participant and consent of the judge. No readjustment is allowed during the run. RULES AND REGULATIONS 1. This is a short film competition and hence ONLY Short Films should be submitted NO DOCUMENTARIES or AD FILMS. 2. DURATION: The films shall not be more than 10 minutes, including the beginning and end credits. Films exceeding this time limit are liable to be rejected. Short Film ME3 3. The short films may be in any language, but MUST be subtitled in ENGLISH. 4. The films can be shot on any mobile phone camera 5. RIGHT TO SCREEN: The participants grant the Organisers the nonexclusive rights to screen (non commercial) their film / entry on their respective websites, at the festival and other associated screenings. 6. COPYRIGHT: The Film must not contain any copyrighted work(s) belonging to third parties unless (1) Participants have a license to use such works in the Film. However royalty free music can be used with proper credits. 7. Two DVD S/ CD s need to be submitted along with the entry. Each DVD /CD preview should be labelled with the Title and the contact number. 8. Copy of Synopsis/Description, Poster (6x4) & two production stills (6x4), should be enclosed. 9. Short films once submitted will not be allowed to be withdrawn. 10. Short film which has Vulgar / Controversial contents will be disqualified. 11. Entry Fee: Rs.200/- per entry [max 02 participants] or Rs. 400 [for 3 to 5 participants]
7 12. Entry with incorrect/inadequate particulars will not be considered. The committee has right to accept or refuse any film without assigning any reason whatsoever. 13. Only selected films will be screened at the event. 14. The decision of the jury shall be final, unquestionable and binding on all participants. 15. Submission Deadline:30 th March Brainy Bees ECT1 NO. OF PARTICIPANTS 4 ROUND 1 - Human Ludo o Players take turns in a clockwise order; highest throw of the die starts by answering a tech question. o The team consists of 4 and they will be divided into 2 pairs (the pair will be tied by their legs) and they will be playing together till the end. o Each throw, the player decides which pair to move. A pair simply moves in a clockwise direction around the track given by the number thrown. If no pair can legally move according to the number thrown, play passes to the next team. o The pair of the team can move forward only with a right answer. o The star indicates some tech activity which the pair has to perform once she/he comes on it. o A team must throw a 6 to move a pair from the starting circle onto the first square on the track answering a question. o The activities may be soldering, writing a basic C program and executing it and so on. o If a pair lands on a piece of a different color, the pair jumped upon is returned to its starting circle. o When a pair has circumnavigated the board, it proceeds up the home column. A pair can only be moved onto the home triangle by an exact throw. o The first team to move both the pairs into the home triangle wins. Round 2- Night assignment (Elimination round) Round 3- Ex-Quiz me! Auction Mantra ECT2 Round 1- AUCTION (Elimination round) No. of Participants-2 All the departments can participate Points will be provided to the participants Based on the auction they have to purchase the equipments (of all dept) Ex. Bricks, Diodes, Cables, Screw Driver. An hour will be allotted for the participants to bring the best out of the items. (Ex. Ad s, Presentation, Craft, Circuit, Innovation Etc.) Final round-marketing No. of Participants 2 A component from their respective branch will be given prior which they need to study and analyze. They need to Present and market the product to the judges ( It must include all the details about the Equipment. Note : No time will be given to study of the component during the second round.
8 Hit-O-Mania EC3 Round 1-PAINT BALL (Elimination round) No. of Participants - 4 members It Consisting of a field with hurdles and buckets of water balloons Each team will be in either side of the field The Team will be given a flag which has to be placed in the opponent`s area The Team members can Eliminate the opponent members by hitting them with the water balloon. The Team which place their flag in the opponent field first will be selected. The Final rounds will be based on time. Round 2 No of participants-4 One member will be the instructor and the rest 3 will be blind folded and tied up in line. The instructor will be directing the team through the hurdles in the maze. It is a time based event. The members will have to collect flags which will be hung in the maze. Cerebo Strain CVT1 2 members per team from each department. 2. Registration amount per team is Rs.200/- 3. Task involves mental challenges. 4. The event is time based. The teams will be judged based on quick they complete the tasks. 5 Technical Hunt CVT2 5 members per team from each department. 3.Task involves mental and physical challenges. 4.The event is time based. The teams will be judged based on quick they complete the tasks. Mad Race V2 CV3 Two Members per team (2 Boys or 2 Girls for team). Teams will be selected to next round depending upon time. Spot registration will be closed on day 1.00pm. At a time two teams will be allowed to race. Task involves mental & physical challenges. 6 Let s Connect MBAT1 The participants will be asked to pick 01 chit from 02 bowls. The chits will contain the names of products, things, profession etc. The participant needs to co-relate and link the topics of both the chits and come out with a new idea or concept that is practical and logically acceptable. 2 Members per Team Time Limit for the game: 5 minutes. (03 minutes for planning & 02 minutes for execution). Test your brain MBAT2 Every now and then you see Quiz in many colleges and television, it is a brain task and the participant accepts it as a challenge. First Round : APTITUDE Participation 2 members No of questions will be 30. Each CORRECT answer will be awarded 1 Mark.
9 Eliminations will be there after this round. Second Round : QUIZ ( Identification of Logo, Company) Participation 2 to 4 Members. No of questions will be 30. Each CORRECT answer will be awarded 10 Mark. Balance the ball MBA3 The participants will be given Table Tennis Ball and Table Tennis Bats. They have to Balance the Ball with the help of Bat and basket it within 1 minute. The Ball should not touch the ground, if it happens the team will lose the game. Participation Minimum 2 Members Time Limit for the game: 1 minute. 1. The contest is open to anyone with a knack for programming. 2. It is a team contest with each team having 2 members from the same institution. 3. Teams will be ranked as per the number of points 4. Ties will be broken by the total time for each user in ascending order of time. 5. The contest will consist of multiple rounds, with teams progressing in every round. 6. The problem statements will be available in 3 different languages: C,C++,Java. 7. For each round Instruction will be provided which should be strictly followed. 8. Any misbehave or cheating can drag your team to the disqualification.
