4 SECTION A - BETTING RULES FOR HORSERACING 1 A nte-post bets 1.1 With the exception of starting price bets, should any selection not run for any reason other than the abandonment of the race itself An ante-post bet shall be lost and the Customer shall forfeit his stake; and Ante-post bets struck on other horses/contestants in the race concerned shall not be subject to any adjustment in betting odds. 1.2 Where a race is abandoned, all ante-post selections that are still live or undetermined involving the race concerned, shall become void. 1.3 Should a selected horse/contestant in any leg of a multiple event bet be scratched, withdrawn or not accepted prior to the bet becoming void or being won, the bet shall be regarded as lost, notwithstanding the fact that any included race has been abandoned. 2 Displ ay of odds 2.1 When laying ante-post bets, Sunbet shall display the prices on its Internet Website, and indicate a price against the name of each and every horse/contestant in the race. 2.2 In all races on which Sunbet is laying bets, a price shall be shown against each and every horse not officially scratched. 3 Betti ng with a r un 3.1 Where a single bet is made with a run and the selected horse/contestant is scratched the bet shall become void. 3.2 All bets struck with a run on the remaining horses/contestants in a race where one or more horses/contestants have been scratched, shall be subject to the deductions detailed in Rule 4 below. 3.3 Where a deduction applies to remaining runners in any event of a multiple event bet with a run, the relevant deduction in terms of Rule 4 below shall be applied to the runner/contestants of the event where the scratching occurred, and the entire bet recalculated in respect of the event from which the horse was scratched. 3.4 Any bets with a run struck after the official announcement of the withdrawal of one or more horses/contestants shall not be subject to any deduction, unless there is a further withdrawal or withdrawals. 5 3.5 Where a race is abandoned, all selections with a run on the race concerned shall become void. 3.6 In starting price multiple bets with a run, winnings on winning bets shall be calculated and paid at the official starting prices, subject to the provisions of Rule 7. 4 Deductions 4.1 Where a horse/contestant is withdrawn before or after coming under starter s orders, all fixed odds bets on that horse/contestant shall be void, and all bets struck as fixed odds on the remaining horses/contestants on the day of the race or with a run shall be subject to deduction calculated in accordance with the following table ODDS OF WITHDRAWN HORSE OR CONTESTANT DEDUCTIONS 25 /1 and higher No deduction 13/1 to 20/1 5 % 9/1 to 12/1 10 % 6/1 to 8/1 15 % 4/1 to 11/2 20 % 3/1 to 7/2 25 % 22/10 to 28/10 30 % 16/10 to 2/1 35 % 13/10 to 15/10 40 % 11/10 to 12/10 45 % 1/1 50 % 8/10 to 9/10 55 % 6/10 to 7/10 60 % 5/10 65 % 4/10 70 % 1/3 and shorter 80 % Note: Any prices that fall between two ranges will default to the lower deduction percentage. 6 4.2 Any bets struck with a run after the official announcement of the withdrawal of one of or more horses/contestants shall not be subject to any adjustment unless there are further withdrawals. 4.3 Should two horses/contestants be withdrawn simultaneously where both are subject to a deduction on any winning bets, the deductions shall be applied separately and not simultaneously. 4.4 Deductions shall not apply to starting price bets, unless a late withdrawal(s) occurs. 5 Postponed r aces 5.1 Where a race advertised to be run on a certain date is postponed to any future date All ante-post bets on such race shall stand; Within 48 hours after the original advertised date at the same venue, all bets with a run shall stand; More than 48 hours after its initial scheduling, the race shall be deemed to have been abandoned for betting purposes, and bets with a run shall be treated as described in Rule 2. 6 Change of venue or tr ack 6.1 Where the venue of a race or track is changed from that originally advertised, the race shall be deemed to have been abandoned and the provisions of Rule 5 shall apply, with the necessary changes. 7 Dead heats 7.1 In the case of a dead heat in a match race, the bet shall be void, unless odds were offered on the outcome being a dead heat. 7.2 If two horses/contestants dead heat in races other than match races, and in the case of winning multiple event bets where one race results in a dead heat, the Customer shall lose half of the amount staked and the entire bet shall then be recalculated. 7.3 In winning multiple events bets where two races result in dead heats, the Customer shall win the odds to one quarter of the stake and lose the other three quarters, and so on, for further dead heats. 7 7.4 Notwithstanding the provisions of Rule 7.2, in the case of a three horse/contestant dead heat in a multiple event bets, where one race/event results in a triple dead heat, the Customer shall lose two-thirds of the odds in the event where the dead heat occurs and lose two thirds of the stake and the entire bet shall be recalculated. 8 Starti ng pr ices and total isator odds 8.1 In starting price bets, the starting price shall be the last official fixed price disseminated either from the race track or recognised dissemination facility, as displayed on the Sunbet website at the start of the event. 8.2 In the event of a late withdrawal where no new betting is displayed before the start of a race, the starting price shall be the last price displayed, subject to the adjustment reflected in the deduction table in Rule In starting price bets and open bets, any limits to actual dividends, odds and pay-outs which apply, shall be prominently displayed and be made available at all times by Sunbet. 9 O pen bets 9.1 The following shall apply to open bets All open bets offered by Sunbet shall be subject to such limits as may be determined by Sunbet if any; The limits and conditions applicable to any bet type shall be clearly displayed on the website or other relevant media of Sunbet. 10 Place/Each -w ay betting at fixed odds 10.1 The following shall apply to place/each-way betting at fixed odds: In races of 4 to 6 runners, 2 places will be payable at 1/3 of the win odds In races of 7 to 13 runners, 3 places will be payable at 1/5 of the win odds In races of 14 or more runners, 4 places will be payable at 1/6 of the win odds All place bets are subject to the Rules relating to scratchings, deductions and dead heats. 11 Races re- run 11.1 In the event of any race being ordered to be re-run Starting price bets shall be calculated and paid at the current price at the time the race is actually run; P a ge 7

8 with a run bets on any horse/contestant, which started on the first occasion and which were subsequently scratched, shall be void and the deductions in terms of Rule 4 shall apply; and ante-post bets shall stand. P a ge 8

9 SECTION B - BETTING RULES FOR SPORTING EVENT S (OTHER T HAN HO RSERACING) 1 General Spor ts Rules 1.1 During specific events Sunbet may offer for betting a reduced selection of participants and may also include betting options such as "any other", "the field", or similar. This option includes all unlisted participants except for the ones made specifically as available. 1.2 Information referring to gender of the teams, age groups and youth teams, as well as various definitions of reserve teams (e.g. B and C teams), is to be treated as supplementary information. The inclusion or omission and correctness of such information will not be treated as sufficient cause for voiding any bets struck in relation to such match/event. 1.3 In the case of football for any bets on the time of an event (such as first goal, first throw) occurring in the match, settlement shall be determined by the official timing of the match where available, alternatively bets will be settled on market consensus. 1.4 A bet on the total number of points that a team/player will attain during the season shall not be affected by any points deducted after the completion of the season and only includes points accumulated in the regular season unless otherwise specified. 1.5 In case of an abandoned event, all bet offers that have been decided prior to the abandonment and could not possibly be changed regardless of future events, will be settled according to the decided outcome. All remaining bet offers will only be settled if an official result is announced within 24 hours and will otherwise be considered void. 1.6 No refunds will be given in respect of bets, even if the outcome of a match/event involves a participant/outcome that has not been listed/offered for betting purposes. On all bet offers the Customer may request a price on a non-listed participant/outcome. Sunbet reserves the right, at its own discretion, to accept or to decline such requests. P a ge 9

10 1.7 Where a participant is disqualified/withheld/banned from taking part in a subsequent part/phase of an event/competition, the disqualification will be considered to have taken place at the time of the participant s removal from the event. No alterations will be made to previous results, regardless of any modifications as a result of said actions. 1.8 If a match commences earlier than the scheduled start time, all bets struck prior to the actual kick-off time shall stand and all bets struck after the actual start time, other than live bets laid by Sunbet, shall be void. 1.9 Where an event to be run on a certain date is postponed to any future date more than 24 hours after the initial scheduling, the event shall be deemed to have been abandoned for betting purposes. This Rule does not apply to Tennis. 2 A pplicati on of thi s Clause 2.1 In all betting relating to sports, other than horseracing, the Rules relating to betting on horseracing shall apply mutatis mutandis to all circumstances not covered by the provisions of this section The Deduction Table contemplated in Rule 4 shall apply to this section Betting in running or live betting shall apply to all sports and other contingencies For settlement purposes in respect of sports event or contingencies, the medal ceremony, prize-giving or podium presentation will be the official result. 3 Void bets 3.1 Unless otherwise specified in the Rules applying to a specific sporting code, where a fixed odds selection is taken on an individual or team and such individual or team Is a no-show ; Is eliminated prior to the event through injury or sickness; Is eliminated from the competition due to a technical infringement, excluding mechanical breakdown, crash, fall or injury during the event, such selection will be void. 11 4 O utright Winner 5 Outright Winner Which team or player will be the outright winner for the specified tournament or event? 5.1 Bets on selections that start the tournament but withdraw or are disqualified during the tournament will lose. 5.2 Bets on selections not taking part in the tournament will be refunded unless they are taken ante-post. 5.3 All bets placed before the final field is determined are deemed ante-post bets. Should a bet be placed ante-post and that selection does not take part in the tournament this bet will be deemed a losing bet. 6 Soccer (Football) 6.1 Sports Related Rules All Soccer bets will be settled on the score at full time (90 minutes played plus referee s optional extra time. Extra time, golden goal and penalties do not apply) Where extra time or penalties are required to determine which team progresses in a knockout match additional markets may be offered for these scenarios Clause will not apply is in relation to certain matches scheduled to be less than 90 minutes. In such cases, all match markets will be settled based on the actual result when the game finishes (excluding any extra-time) The team displayed first is normally the home team and the team displayed second is normally the away team. From time to time matches may be played on neutral ground and when this occurs, the team displayed first in the event name will be referred to as the home team and the team displayed second will be referred to as the away team, If a team plays a different opponent to that which is advertised, or if the venue of a match is the reverse of that displayed, or if the venue is changed to a neutral ground, all bets on that match shall become void. Multiple bets which include that match shall stand, with that match being treated as void. P a ge 11

12 6.1.6 Bets on matches that have been postponed for more than 24 hours will be refunded For the purposes of determining the number of goals scored in any match and the settlement of any bet in respect of which the number of goals scored is a factor, own goals will be credited to the team in whose favour they are recognised In all cases of bets on yellow cards, red cards are not counted, and if a single player was sent off for two yellow cards, only one yellow card will be counted. Yellow cards shown to coaches and substitute players are not counted. 6.2 Sport Markets Minute Match Which team will win the match? Total Goals How many goals will be scored in the match? Own goals count towards the total goals for the match Halftime/Fulltime What will be the correct halftime result coupled with the correct fulltime result? You must predict both the correct halftime result and fulltime result correctly to win your bet. If you only predict the outcome of one half correctly, your bet will lose Double Chance What will the result of the match be? You get two chances to win with the following selections: Home / Draw You bet on the home team or the draw result occurring Away / Draw - You bet on the away team or the draw result occurring Home / Away - You bet on the home team or the away team winning Draw No Bet Which team will win the? You are predicting which team will win the match. However, if the result is a draw at fulltime, you will be refunded your stake European Handicaps Which outcome will occur at various handicaps? You bet on the result of a match after adjusting for the handicap. If the handicap is a whole number then both teams and the draw are quoted. If the handicap is not a whole number then only the two teams are quoted. P a ge 12

13 You can calculate the result of a handicap bet by adding the handicap to the team s score at fulltime to determine the winning outcome Half Time Result What will the halftime result be? Selections will be offered on which team will be leading at halftime including an option to bet on the halftime draw st Half Totals What will be the correct number of goals scored in the 1 st half? Own goals count towards the 1 st half total goals You can bet on whether there will be 0, 1 or 2+ (2 or more) goals scored in the 1 st half st Half Correct Score What will be the correct 1 st half score? Predict the correct score at the end of the 1 st half. Selections will be offered on certain correct scores and an option to bet on Others which includes all selections that have not been listed nd Half Totals - What will be the correct number of goals scored in the 2 nd half? Own goals count towards the 2 nd half total goals You can bet on whether there will be 0, 1 or 2+ (2 or more) goals scored in the 2 nd half st 10 minutes 3 Way What will be the score be after the 1 st 10 minutes of the match? This market will be settled on the official result status of the match after 10:00 minutes st Goal Interval When will the 1 st Goal of the match (if any) be scored? Selections will be offered in bands of 10 minutes. For instance 1 10 means will the 1 st goal be scored in the 1 st to the 10 th minute inclusive.. A selection will be offered for None and will be the winning selection should there be no goals in the match Away to Score in Both Halves Will the away team score goals in both halves? 14 Away to Win Either Half Will the away team win either half? The away team must score more goals than the home team in either half for the selection Yes to be win, and if not the selection No will be the winner Both Teams to Score Will both teams score goals in the match? Own goals count for the team that is credited with the goal First Team to Score Which team will score the first goal? Own goals count for the team that is credited with the goal should the first goal be an own goal An option to bet on None means that you predict no goals will be scored in the match Home to Score in Both Halves Will the home team score goals in both halves? Own goals count if the home team is credited with the goal Home to Win Both Halves Will the home team win both halves? The home team must score more goals than the away team in both halves for the Yes selection to win and should this not occur the No selection will win Home to Win Either Half - Will the home team win either half? The home team must score more goals than the away team in either half for the selection Yes to win, and if not the selection No will win Last Team to Score Which team will score the last goal of the match? Own goals count for the team credited with the goal Match Flow Which team will score the first goal of the match coupled with which team will win the match? Own goals count for the team credited with the goal. Selections will be offered on either team scoring first coupled with all outcomes at fulltime and the selection None means that no goals will be scored in the match. P a ge 14

15 To Qualify Which team will qualify from the knockout match? You are betting on which team will qualify or advance to the next round in the tournament A market may be created for extra-time only or a team to progress, to qualify, to win the tournament or 3/4 playoff. If such a market is created, the draw will not be quoted and either team must win Winning Margin Which team will win the match and what will their winning margin of victory be? Selections will be offered on either team winning by a certain exact number of goals and options for either team to win by 3+ goals or the match to end in a draw First Goal Scorer Which player will score the first goal? You bet on a player to score the 1st goal in a match. Own goals do not count Sunbet will make every effort to quote first player to score odds for all possible participants. However, players not originally quoted will count as winners should they score the first goal. Bets on players not taking part in the match will be void Last Goal Scorer Which player will score the last goal? You bet on a player to score the last goal in a match. Own goals do not count Sunbet will make every effort to quote last player to score odds for all possible participants. However, players not originally quoted will count as winners should they score the last goal. Bets on players not taking part in the match will be void. All players that take part in a match will be considered runners for last goal scorer betting. P a ge 15

16 7 Cricket 7.1 Sports Related Rules All tournament and match markets will be settled on the official tournament results/match scorecards listed on the ICC website. If there is no result available, then the result reflected on the website will be used for settlement purposes. 7.2 Cricket - Limited Overs Match Winner Which team will win the specified match? You bet on the winner of a limited overs cricket match. We will pay out on the official winner, according to the competition Rules. There may be variations in these Rules between different competitions All match winner bets on abandoned games, where no official winner is declared, will be refunded In the event of a tie where the competition Rules allow for a match result based on a super over, bowl out, or any other tie break mechanism, Sunbet will settle bets on the result of the tie break mechanism In the event of a tie where the competition Rules do not allow for a tie break mechanism Sunbet will refund all bets Bets will stand for all postponed matches so long as they are played within 24 hours. If there is a change of venue or team selection, bets will be refunded If a match is cancelled before any play has taken place, then all bets will be void, unless the match is replayed within 36 hours of its advertised start time, in which case the bets will stand If the toss winner for a match has been determined, and the match in question is then abandoned due to bad weather, all bets on the toss winner market will stand and will be resulted as such. 17 7.3 Cricket Tests Match Winner Which team will win the specified test match You bet on the result of a test match. Both teams and the draw are quoted. We will pay out on the official winner or draw, according to the Rules of test match cricket In the event of a tie we will apply dead heat Rules, i.e. both sides receive 50% of the payout. All draw bets are losers If a match is abandoned due to weather before a ball has been bowled then all bets will be void If a match is abandoned for any reason other than weather then bets on the outright result will be void If either side forfeits their first innings then all bets specifically relating to the first innings will be void. 7.4 Sport Markets Next Man Out Which batsman will be the next man out? You bet on which batsman in a partnership will lose his wicket first. All bets will be refunded if neither batsman loses his wicket or if one of the batsmen retires hurt Top Batsmen Which batsman will score the most runs in the match? You bet on which batsman will score the most runs or which bowler will take the most wickets. Bets on any player not in the starting eleven will be refunded Unless otherwise stated, these markets will be settled on the number of runs scored in the first innings of a match only Dead Heat Rules will apply if two or more of the named batsmen achieve the same score. 18 Depending on the type of match, the following minimum overs must be bowled in that teams innings for bets to stand: Test Matches 50 overs County Championship 50 overs over match 25 overs over match 20 overs over match 15 overs Top Bowler - Which bowler will take the most wickets in the match? Unless otherwise stated, these markets will be settled on the number of wickets taken in the first innings of a match only Depending on the type of match the following minimum overs must be bowled in that teams innings for bets to stand: Test Matches 50 overs County Championship 50 overs over match 25 overs over match 20 overs over match 15 overs Players named in the starting eleven that do not bowl are deemed to have taken part and bets on any such players will lose In the event of players taking the same number of wickets, the winner will be determined as being the bowler that has conceded the least number of runs, irrespective of overs bowled by each player, if it is still not possible to determine a winner, then dead heat Rules will apply Correct Score Series Betting What will be the correct score be for this specified series of matches? All correct score series bets are refunded if the stipulated number of matches is not played Total Runs Will the total runs scored by the specified team be over or under the run line quoted? You bet on a team to score under or over a set number of runs in their innings. All bets will be void if the scheduled number of overs is reduced. P a ge 18

19 If the scheduled number of overs is reduced, and the team returns to bat for the reduced number of overs, a new market may be offered on the first innings runs for the reduce number of overs. Bets on this market will be void if there is a further reduction in the scheduled number of overs. All bets will be settled on the actual first innings score and not on any adjusted Duckworth-Lewis target set for the team batting second Runs in a super over do not count In test matches all first innings total runs bets will be void if the batting team does not complete its innings, in order for the bets to be settled the batting team must declare or be bowled out. Batsmen who retire and do not return to bat are considered out st Wicket Lost What will be the method of the 1st wicket lost? You bet on the method of dismissal for the first wicket to fall in the named team s innings. There are 10 ways of being dismissed in cricket. The first 5 (caught, bowled, LBW, run out and stumped) are quoted in the betting. The other 5 (timed out, handled the ball, hit the ball twice, hit wicket and obstructing the field) are included under Any other method When no wicket has fallen yet and a batsman retires, the first wicket is still deemed not to have fallen. If no wicket falls, bets will be refunded To Win the Toss Which team will win the toss? You bet on the outcome of the coin toss that is done before the match starts. Even if the match is later called off without a ball having been bowled, as long as the coin toss has occurred and a winner declared, bets will stand Highest Opening Partnership Which team will have the highest opening partnership? You bet on the highest opening partnership by either team. Each team has to have faced at least one ball for bets to stand. If no wicket falls in one or both innings, the opening partnership score is deemed to be whatever the score was when play stopped. P a ge 19

20 7.4.9 Highest First 6/10/15 etc. Overs (Pre-Game) Which team will score the most runs in the first specified number of overs? You bet on which team will have the highest score after the first number of overs of their innings stipulated in the bet. Both teams have to complete the stipulated number of overs for bets to stand, unless one or both teams are bowled out before the stipulated number of overs have been bowled. In the event of a tie, where a price on the tie was not offered, this market will be void, and refunded accordingly If either team s innings in a limited overs match is reduced due to external factors then bets on this market will be void unless the result of the bet in question was already finally determined before any reduction in overs was announced Bets will stand if the innings is shortened due to it reaching its natural conclusion Most Sixes/Fours Which team will score the most sixes/fours? You bet on which team will score the greatest number of sixes or fours in their innings. If the number of overs is reduced from the originally scheduled number, bets will be refunded Sixes/Fours in a super over do not count Total Run-outs Will there be over or under the specified number of run-outs? You bet on the total number of run-outs in the match. If the number of overs is reduced from what was originally scheduled, bets will be refunded Run-outs in a super over do not count. P a ge 20

21 Batsman Total Runs Will the specified batsman score over or under the run line quoted? This market will stand providing the batsman reaches the crease. If the player retires hurt, all bets taken on his/her over or under quote will be refunded, unless the outcome of such bets has already been finally determined. Furthermore, bets will be voided if there is a rain delay, or any other stoppage in play and the number of overs is reduced, unless the outcome of such bets has already been finally determined. Bets on all other markets, where the outcome has not yet been determined, will be voided. If a team declares or reaches their target, the total achieved by the batting team will be the result of the market Number of Runs per Session Will there be more or less then the number of specified runs in the named session scored? The result of this market is determined by the total number of runs scored in the course of the session regardless of which team has scored the runs There are three sessions per day in Test Cricket. The first session is from the start of play in the morning until lunch is called. The second session is from lunch until tea is called. The third session is from tea until the close of play. If fewer than 20 overs are bowled in any particular session, then bets on number of runs scored in that session will be void Extras (wides, no-balls, byes and leg byes) do count towards the number of runs scored Team Runs X Number of Overs (e.g. 1st 15 Overs) In-Running Will the named team score more or less then the specified number of runs in the quoted period of the innings? The full number of specified overs must be played for bets to stand, unless the innings has reached its natural conclusion. If either team s innings in a limited overs match is reduced due to external factors then bets on this market will be void unless the outcome of such bets has already been finally determined before any reduction in overs was announced. 22 Highest Opening Partnership If either team s innings in a limited overs match is reduced due to external factors then bets on this market will be void unless the outcome of such bets has already been finally determined before any reduction in overs was announced. Bets will stand if the innings is shortened due to it reaching its natural conclusion In a two-innings match this market only applies to the first innings. In the event of a tie, all bets will be deemed a scratching and refunded accordingly. In the event of a batsman retiring hurt, this market will be settled at the score when the first wicket falls Next Method of Dismissal (e.g. Next Wicket Caught?) Should no further wickets be taken in the innings then bets on this market will be void In the event of a batsman retiring hurt bets will still stand for the next wicket to fall Team to hit most sixes If either team s innings in a limited overs match is reduced due to external factors then bets on this market will be void unless the outcome of such bets has already been finally determined before any reduction in overs was announced Bets will stand if the innings is shortened due to it reaching its natural conclusion Next Over: Over/Under Runs Each index of this market will be settled on the total number of runs achieved in the over, including any extras awarded In the event of an over not being completed, all bets on that particular index shall be void. This does not apply if the innings reaches its natural conclusion e.g. Declaration, team all out, etc. P a ge 22
