This is an incredible opportunity for anglers to learn from pros at the top of their game as they share their expertise. Head of the list is Kevin VanDam; as the all-time money-maker on the Bassmaster Tournament Trail, VanDam has earned more than $5 million through February 2011, and captured four Bassmaster Classic titles, along with seven Toyota Tundra Angler of the Year titles. The Bassmaster Classic title is the most coveted in bass fishing. The competition attracts the best anglers in the world, who qualify for the honor as a result of their performance during the regular competitive season. VanDam has earned berths in 21 consecutive Classics since turning pro in the longest running Classic qualification streak of any active pro. In 223 Bassmaster events, he has won 20, finished second 11 times, and landed in the top 10 an amazing 91 times. VanDam honed his fishing skills growing up in Michigan, where he fished for a variety of species, including trout, salmon, muskies, walleyes and northern pike. You can learn a lot by fishing different species in the diverse varieties of lakes and rivers we have in Michigan, he says, but bass is my first love! Van Dam will be offering seminars on Thursday January 23rd at 2:30 and 5:30 at the Hawg Trough. Joining VanDam is Mike Ike Iaconelli, himself a winner of the Bassmaster Classic and Bassmaster Angler of the Year Award. Iaconelli is a lifelong fisherman who spends approximately 200 days a year on the water, enhancing his knowledge of numerous lakes, rivers and reservoirs around the country. He also works as a part-time guide, writes fishing articles, and designs lures. An experienced speaker, Iaconelli is in demand as a seminar presenter at sportshows around the country. He will be speaking on Sunday, January 26th at 11:00 and again at 1:00.

2 Next up is Brandon Palaniuk, one of the most popular anglers on the professional bass fishing tournament trail today. At age 26, he has accomplished more than most fishermen do in a lifetime. After winning the Federation Nation National Championship, he accumulated five top 10 finishes on the Bassmaster Elite Trails, including two wins. Palaniuk has advanced to the Classic three years in a row, including a second place finish on Grand Lake in During fan favorite voting, he received more votes than any other pro for the 2013 Toyota All-Star Week and Even Williams Bourbon Championships. Brandon will be conducting seminars at the Hawg Trough on Saturday, January 25th at 11:00 and 1:00. Just added is a new seminar aptly named the DMZ Tour. Dave Mercer and Mark Zona appear together on Friday, January 24th at 2:30. Sure to be an instant classic, these two gentlemen, known for their entertaining antics as hosts for both the Bassmaster Elite Series Tour and on their popular television shows, appear courtesy of Shimano. This seminar will be a hit with anglers of all ages providing topics the crowd will find both amusing and educational. Appearing on Saturday is another crowd favorite, Marianne Huskey, a United States Coast Guard Captain and licensed Wisconsin Guide. Huskey has been fishing since girlhood and went pro to promote her passion and the sport of angling. In 2010, she was awarded the Dave Anderson Sportsman of the Year Award over 100 of her peers for dedication to promoting the sport of fishing. In 2012, she made professional fishing history when she won the Anglers Insight Marketing Angler of the Year award. This marked the first time in the history of major professional fishing tournament circuits that a female angler won the award. Guests will also enjoy Joe Bucher, a National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame Legendary Angler and one of the most highly regarded multi-species fishing authorities in the fishing world. An on-camera talent for 24 years, Bucher hosts the popular television series Fishing with Joe Bucher and will present seminars on Friday, January 24th. Next up is Jim Saric, a Legendary Angler in the Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame. He is the host and executive producer of The Musky Hunter television series, editor and publisher of Musky Hunter magazine, and a seven-time musky tournament winner. An acclaimed author and videographer, Saric conducts more than 30 seminars annually and teaches the University of Esox musky schools throughout the country. A trio of talented local sportsmen is also on the ballot. Jay Anglin is the complete outdoorsman, equally adept with rod, gun or bow. A veteran fly fisherman with more than 30 years experience, he also operates his own guide company Anglin Outdoors and writes a regular newspaper column on outdoor sports. Dustan Harley knows all the secrets of the St. Joe river system, having fished these waters since boyhood. The only full-time fly-fishing guide on the St. Joe waterways, he has traveled from Tennessee to California giving seminars on fly fishing. Thirty-year old Marques Green is one of the top young tournament anglers in the Chicago area, with many top 10 finishes to his credit in regional tournaments. A frequent guest on ESPN radio, he is also the host of the YouTube TV show Cityboy Outdoors. Popular local fisherman Dave Kranz rounds out the top talent, speaking on Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Kranz has been the owner of Dave s Bait, Tackle and Taxidermy in Crystal Lake since 1989 and has taught generations of sportsmen and women how to hunt and fish. He competes in bass tournaments throughout the Fox Chain of Lakes System and the Madison Chain of Lakes, as well as many other bodies of water in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin.
