2 General Information 1. Location : Coastal Fishing Port (PPP) Pondokdadap, Sendangbiru, Malang, East Java First Surey : April 2015 Number of farmers/fishermen : The number of total fleets that were recorded as active members of PT. 168 Benoa supply chain in 2015 were 40 fleets categorized as canoe and all of them were already registered to DKP East Java Province 2. Fishing Method - Minimum harvest size : Juvenile tuna, about kg (weight is an estimate, as tuna weighing less than 20 kg are not weighed individually) - Method of capture : Handline, with fishing fleets GT Price range : Rp / Kg In Sendangbiru, the type of fish that has become a commodity is Tuna, such as the Yellow Fin Tuna (Thunnus albacares). Caught by handlining fishing techinique, Tuna has become a major target of importers from the surrounding area. The transaction process is by way of auction which is organized by local port authorities. 3. Production Capacity Generally, the total tuna landed in PPP Pondokdadap reached up to tons with the value of Rp 55,244,988,963. The production of Tuna, Skipjack and Mackerel amounted to tons equaled to 64.06% of the total production of fish landed in PPP Pondokdadap. The types of Tuna caught were Yellowfin (Thunnus albacares), Bigeye (Thunnus obesus) and Albacore (Thunnus alalunga) which reached tons (19.19%). Meanwhile, Skipjack (Katsuwonus pelamis) amounted to tons (11.39%) and Mackerel tons (33.48%) (PPP Pondokdadap 2012, in Annual report LOKA Tuna Benoa 2013). Based on the information submitted, 168 Benoa took advantage of 51,359 Kg madidihana from Sendangbiru. This number was obtained from purchasing activities performed in January to June This number was also gained from 24 Tuna fishing fleets or canoe with 17 fleets that were fully operated in Sendangbiru 4. Additional Information

3 PT. 168 Benoa and PT. Hatindo Makmur cooperate in the Seafood Savers scheme and work toward improving tuna fishing in Sendangbiru. In September 2015, PT. 168 Benoa reported changes in the number of fleets under their production chain. In addition, information was given on the number of catches which were purchased by 168 in Sendangbiru. An action that should be appreciated. Periodic reporting of this kind, is an important aspect for improving future FIPs.
