TPC Stonebrae Championship R1: The start of play was delayed two hours due to fog. R2: The start of play on Friday was delayed four hours due to fog and wet conditions on the golf course. R3: A total of 36 of the 70 players who made the cut were not able to finish round three on Saturday. R4: The start of play Sunday was delayed three hours due to fog. Tournament officials decided not to re-pair players following R3. 2. The Rex Hospital Open R2: Play was suspended from 1:17-3:10 pm because of thunderstorms. Play suspended again at 5:00 p.m. and called for the day at 6:20 p.m. R3: The resumption of second-round play on Saturday morning was delayed 30 minutes due to wet conditions. 3. Preferred Health Systems Wichita Open R1: The start of play was delayed one hour after 1.4 inches of rain fell overnight. 4. United Leasing Championship Playoff: Playoff was suspended after the third extra hole due to threatening conditions in the area. Play was suspended from 3:55-4:18 p.m. 5. Utah Championship R3: Officials suspended play because of a dangerous weather situation from 2:03 p.m. to 3:06 p.m. 6. Nationwide Children s Hospital Invitational R1: Play was suspended at 3:36 p.m. due to heavy thunderstorms. Play called for the day at 5:45 p.m. with half the field still on the golf course. R2: Play was suspended due to threatening conditions at 7:35 p.m. with 51 players still on the course Weather-related news and notes: 1. TPC Stonebrae Championship The start of the first round was delayed two hours due to fog. Cloudy skies with periods of rain showers. Winds SSW mph in the morning and mph in the afternoon. High of 50. A total of 78 players did not complete the first round. The start of play Friday was delayed four hours due to morning fog and wet conditions on the golf course after 1.60 of rain fell Thursday night. A total of 64 players did not complete round two, 24 of them did not tee off on Friday. A total of 70 players made the 36-hole cut and 34 of those were not able to complete the third round on Saturday. The start of play Sunday was delayed three hours due to fog. Tournament officials did not repair the players following round three in an effort to get 72 holes. 2. The Rex Hospital Open Second-round play was suspended from 1:17-3:10 p.m. because of thunderstorms. Play was suspended again at 5:00 p.m. and later called for the day at 6:20 p.m. Half of the field did not complete R2. Second-round play resumed Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m. Third-round play was in threesomes off the 1 st and 10 th tees. Third-round play was completed at 7:55 p.m. 3.
