3 PRACTICE ROUND If desired, please contact Meadowlark Hills Golf Course at (308) to arrange a practice round at an available time, fee is $32 and includes cart. PERSONAL EFFECTS Please take care of your valuables. Neither Meadowlark Hills Golf Course nor NWAGA can assume responsibility for articles lost or stolen. FORMAT In Pinehurst, each partner plays from the teeing ground and then plays their partner s ball for their second shot. After the second shot, partners select the ball with which they wish to score and play that ball alternately to complete the hole. Team Handicap in Pinehurst combines 60 percent of the lower player s Course Handicap and 40 percent of the higher player s Course Handicap. In Four-Ball, each player plays their own ball. The lower net score of the partners is the side s score for the hole. Each team member receives 90 percent of Course Handicap in Four-Ball. Day 1-18-holes, Pinehurst. Teams will be paired base upon total course handicap of each team. Day holes, Four-Ball stroke play. For the second round of competition, teams will be paired by the team's net Pinehurst score. Flights will be created on net Pinehurst scores following round one. With the exception of overall team champion, ties will be combined and divided, pro-rata.. PLAYER REGISTRATION Players are required to register between 8:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 7. PRACTICE AREAS Practice areas will be available to contestants at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday and 7:00 a.m. on Friday; complimentary practice balls will be available on the range. DRESS CODE Players must be neat in appearance with respect to clothing and personal grooming. The Committee in charge shall decide whether this requirement has been met, and has authority to withdraw the entry of a player who does not comply. Shirts must have a collar or sleeves. Shorts may be worn, but jeans or denim shorts are not allowed. The following items are forbidden: shortshorts, tank tops, cut-off shorts, jogging shorts and gym shorts. Absolutely no metal spikes.

4 CADDIES and CARTS The cost of automotive transportation (cart) was included in the tournament entry fee. If you prefer to walk you may carry your own bag, use a pull cart, or provide your own caddie. Caddies represent the player and any conduct of the caddie will reflect on the competitor. GROUPINGS AND STARTING TIMES First round play will be a shotgun beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 7. Groupings and starting hole assignments are available by visiting the tournament website or by clicking the link below. Second round play will be a shotgun beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, June 8 with groups determined based on round one net Pinehurst score. FOOD AND BEVERAGE SERVICE AWARDS LUNCHEON Box lunches will be available during play Thursday, June 7. An Awards Luncheon will follow play Friday, June 8. The clubhouse will be available for any other food and beverage purchases throughout the competition. 6 Local Rules and Conditions of Competition FOR 2018 NWAGA CHAMPIONSHIPS & EVENTS The Rules of Golf as approved by the United States Golf Association and the R&A govern play. See applicable championship, qualifying round or special event Notice to Players and Entry Application for additional Local Rules and Conditions. Complete text of Rules and Appendix I may be found in the Rules of Golf, effective Unless otherwise noted, the penalty for breach of a Local Rule or Condition is: Match play Loss of hole Stroke play Two strokes LOCAL RULES Out of Bounds Defined by inside points, at ground level, of white stakes and fence posts. Rule 27-1b. Water and Lateral Water Hazard Stakes and Lines When a water hazard or a lateral water hazard is defined on only one side, it is deemed to extend to infinity. When a water hazard or a lateral water hazard is bounded by out of bounds, the hazard margin extends to and coincides with the out of bounds line. Ground Under Repair Defined by white lines. Fire ant hills, sod-covered trenching for temporary cables and French drains are deemed to be ground under repair. Rule (Note: For a player whose ball is in a water hazard and is affected by a fire ant hill see Decision 1-4/10.) Ground under repair may include areas of unusual damage, including areas where spectators or other traffic has combined with wet conditions to affect materially the ground surface, but only when so declared by an authorized member of the Committee. When immediately adjacent to an obstruction, such an area is part of the obstruction. Embedded Ball Through the Green Local Rule as prescribed in Seams of Cut Turf (Sod Seams) The Local Rule as prescribed in Accidental Movement of a Ball on a Putting Green When a player s ball lies on the putting green, there is no penalty if the ball or ball-marker is accidentally moved by the player, his partner, his opponent, or any of their caddies or equipment. (NOTE: Full text of Local Rule available at Distance Measuring Devices A player may obtain distance information by use of a distance-measuring device. If, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance measuring device to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g., elevation changes, wind-speed, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule Turf Plugs on the Putting Green May be repaired even if they are not 4 1/4 inches. White-Lined Areas Tying Into Artificially-Surfaced Roads and Paths have the same status as the roads and paths, that of obstructions. Wood Chips and Mulch are loose impediments, unless otherwise provided for in Notice to Players. Integral Parts of the Course include cables, rods, wires and wrappings when closely attached to trees; artificial walls and pilings when located in hazards, unless otherwise provided for in Notice to Players. Temporary Immovable Obstructions Local Rule as prescribed in Wrong Score for Hole in Stroke Play If a competitor returns a score for any hole lower than actually taken due to failure to include a penalty stroke that the player did not know he had incurred, the player is not disqualified. The penalty for the applicable Rule is applied, but there is no additional penalty. (NOTE: Full text of Local Rule available at CONDITIONS List of Conforming Driver Heads Optional Condition as prescribed in List of Conforming Golf Balls Optional Condition as prescribed in Pace of Play See separate memorandum to players for pace of play guidelines, when applicable. Discontinuance of Play Optional Condition as prescribed in Appendix I is in effect. All practice areas are closed during suspension for a dangerous situation until the Committee has declared them open. Players who practice on closed practice areas will be asked to cease doing so; failure to comply may result in revocation of entry. Note: A suspension for a dangerous situation will be signaled by one prolonged airhorn note. All other types of suspension will be signaled by three consecutive airhorn notes, repeated. Resumption of play will be signaled by two short airhorn notes, repeated. Practice Prior to and after his round in stroke play, a player may practice on the designated practice areas. Rule 7-1b applies to other practice in stroke play, and Rule 7-1a covers practice before the round in match play. Close of Competition The competition is deemed to have closed when the trophy has been presented to the winner or, in the absence of a prize ceremony, when all scores have been approved by the Committee. The result of a match is considered to have been officially announced when the Committee has approved the result as posted on the public scoreboard.

7 2018 NWAGA PARTNER CLASSIC JUNE 7-8, 2018 MEADOWLARK HILLS GOLF COURSE (DRAFT VERSION 6/1/2018) NOTICE TO COMPETITORS (This information supplements the Local Rules and Conditions of Competition for NWAGA Events) Abnormal Ground Conditions: Newly Planted Trees identified by ribbon and their tree wells are deemed to be ground under repair even though not so defined by white lines. Rule Deciding Ties: In the event of a tie for first place, concerned teams shall immediately play-off hole-by-hole until the winner is determined. The play-off rotation will be holes repeated unless otherwise notified by the Committee. The format used for the play-off Four-ball. Drop Zones: Hole #8 As an additional option under Rule 26 1, if a ball is in the water hazard (yellow), the player may drop a ball under penalty of one stroke on the area marked DZ located in the fairway. Hole #11 As an additional option under Rule 26 1, if a ball is in the water hazard (yellow), the player may drop a ball under penalty of one stroke on the area marked DZ located on the forward teeing ground. Hole #15 As an additional option under Rule 24 2b, if interference exists from an immovable obstruction behind the green, the player may drop the ball on the area marked DZ located behind the green near the cart building. Hole #17 As an additional option under Rule 26 1, if a ball is in the water hazard (yellow) or lateral water hazard (red), the player may drop a ball under penalty of one stroke on the area marked DZ located on the forward teeing ground. Format: Pinehurst - Each partner plays from the teeing ground and then plays their partner s ball for their second shot. Obstructions: Hole #15 The cart staging area, clubhouse, cart barn and split rail fence are deemed to be one obstruction. Out of Bounds: Out of Bounds is defined by the perimeter fence in addition to white stakes. The Parking Lot and Entrance Road are out of bounds. A ball is out of bounds when all of it lies beyond the curbing even though it might lay on another part of the golf course. Scoring Area: Scoring Area A scorecard is deemed to be returned when the player has left the defined scoring area. Teeing Ground: The red tee markers define the teeing ground for the competition. Through the Green: The waste area along the left of hole #3 is deemed to be through the green. Rules Committee: Justin Ahrens & Tyler Messenger

8 2018 NWAGA CHAMPIONSHIPS & EVENTS Pace of Play Policy Partner Classic Rule 6-7 provides that The player must play without undue delay and in accordance with any pace of play guidelines that the Committee may establish, and thereafter prescribes penalties for slow play. Maximum Allowable Time Maximum allowable time is the MAXIMUM time deemed necessary by the Committee for a match to complete its stipulated round. This is expressed in a per-hole and aggregate time format on the chart attached to this document. A group s maximum allowable time begins at its assigned starting time, or if the starting time is delayed, at the adjusted starting time. Time associated with playing the game, e.g., for rulings and walking times between holes, is included in all maximum allowable times. Definition of Out of Position A match is out of position when it: Completes play of a hole (replaces the flagstick) later than the maximum allowable time given (see attached chart) and: Reaches a par-3 hole that is clear of all play and all players in the preceding match have played their strokes from the teeing ground of the next hole; Reaches a par-4 or par-5 hole which is not clear of all play but which becomes clear of all play before all players in the match have played their strokes from the teeing ground or Reaches a par-4 or par-5 hole which is clear of all play. Note: If a ruling or some other legitimate delay occurs which causes the match in question to be out of position, that group is expected to regain its position within a reasonable time. Timing When the Committee determines that a match (or individual) will be timed, all players (or a specified individual) in the match will be notified by a Rules Rover. Other than on the putting green, the timing of a player's stroke will begin when it is her turn to play and she can play without interference or distraction. Time spent determining yardage and other conditions (such as wind) will count as time taken for the next stroke. On the putting green, the timing of a player s stroke will begin after she has been allowed a reasonable amount of time to mark, lift, clean and replace her ball, repair ball marks and remove loose impediments on her line of putt. Time spent looking at the line from beyond the hole or to the side of and/or behind the ball will count as part of the time taken for the next stroke. A player is permitted a maximum of 40 seconds to play a stroke. Any player in a match being timed who exceeds the maximum allowable time to play a stroke will be informed as soon as practicable by the Rules Rover. A Rules Rover will not advise a match that it has regained its proper position on the course and is no longer being timed. As previously noted, a player may inquire at any time regarding the group s pace of play status. Note: The Committee reserves the right, at any time, to time a match when deemed necessary. Further, if the Committee determines a player to be unreasonably slow, she may be timed individually at the Committee s discretion regardless of whether her match is out of position. Players should also be aware that the Committee may assess a bad time to a player in a match which is out of position if the player makes no effort to help her match get back in position. An example of this would be a player who delays play between shots or holes. Pace of Play Penalties The following are the penalties, in sequence, for any player in a match being timed who takes more than the maximum allowable time to play a stroke after timing of the player s stroke begins: 1st bad timing exceeding the allotted time Warning 2nd bad timing Loss of hole 3rd bad timing Loss of hole 4th bad timing Disqualification Note: If a match being timed regains its proper position, any previous bad times will be carried over for the remainder of that round in the event that match requires additional monitoring. Any player who has a bad time(s) will be reminded of the bad time(s) if she or her match requires additional timing during the round.
