5 YEA GOLF CLUB INC. DRESS CODE: The dress code of the Yea Golf Club is neat casual wear. PLEASE NO SPIKES IN THE CLUB HOUSE CONDITIONS OF MEN S EVENTS : These conditions may be varied at the discretion of the Match Committee. SICHLAU TROPHY: 6 stroke rounds, with 4 best nett rounds to count. In the event of a tie there will be a play off over 18 holes and if the scores are tied a count back on the play off round. In the event of a round being abandoned the number of rounds to count may be reduced. Handicap as at date of play. MONTHLY MEDAL: Best nett stroke round of day. Count back system to resolve a tie. MEDAL PLAY OFF: Winners of Monthly Medals in previous 12 months, January to November. Best nett score. Count back system to apply. Handicap as at day of play. ECLECTIC: SUMMER AND WINTER: Best scratch score for 18 holes between the dates specified in the program. In the handicap section there will be a reduction of ½ the player s handicap held on the last day of competition. CLARK TROPHY: Best aggregate nett score*, all grades, in the three rounds of the Championship. Handicap as at day of play. In the event of a tie the best third round nett score will count. If there is still a tie there will be a count back on the last round. *The club will provide trophies for the other two grades with the same rules applying.

6 CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS: Championships will be played in A, B and C grades with the Club Champion being the player with the lowest scratch score. Grade cut offs are to be decided by the Match Committee. Players will remain in the grade in which they commenced the Championship. In the event of a tie in any grade there will be a sudden death play off. Play off holes will be 10, 18, 10, 18 etc. Handicap Championship will run concurrent with this event. J.B. MOORE TROPHY: 2 rounds of stableford. In the event of a tie there will be a play off over 18 holes. If there is still a tie there will be a count back on the play off round. Handicaps will be as at the day of play. A.H. SMITH TROPHY: 36 holes stableford. If scores are tied there will be a count back using the AGU system. Handicaps will be as at the day of play. N.J. MURRAY TROPHY: As for A.H. Smith Trophy. PRIDEAUX CUP: Same conditions as for the J.B. Moore Trophy. AMBROSE: Handicap for group of four will be 1/8 of the aggregate, three will be 1/6 of the aggregate and two will be ¼ of the aggregate BIRDIE HOLE: Each Saturday, the programme has a birdie hold listed. If any player in the competition birdies this hole, each player in that competitor s group is entitled to one free drink from the bar. The drink must be taken on the same day as the competition

7 BISQUE PAR: In a Bisque Par, the player chooses which holes he/she would like to take their handicap shots on, rather than using the index. Eg: a play off 12 would choose which 12 holes they will take 1 one shot on. The player must nominate if they are going to use a shot before they hit off on that hole. MID-WEEK HEAT POLICY: During the summer months the usual tee-off time is 8:30am. With a draw for playing groups, however, on days of predicted hot weather early starts from 7am are encouraged. Players may arrange their own grouping and-tee off when ready. The club database will be used to advise players of an early start.

Play off holes will be 10, 18, 10, 18 etc. In event of draw for 36 hole events (Kath Homewood, Mona Clark & Mona MacLeod Brooches) there will be a count back on the last 18 holes in the event of a draw for any of the 36 hole events. FOURSOMES: A match in which two play against two, each side plays one ball. Each player shall play alternative tees, and alternately during play. FOUR BALL BETTER BALL: A match in which two play their better ball against the better ball of two other players.

21 CANADIAN: -Both players hit off and the select the best ball. -Halve the handicap. FLAG DAY: Will be played in conjunction with Stroke Round, but players are to play out their normal Round. Players will carry the Flag until they have reached a score equal to the par of the course, plus their handicaps. All players to hit off the same tee. AMERICAN FOURSOMES: Played with a partner. Both players tee off at each hole, then play a second shot with their respective partner s ball. Players then decide which ball to keep in play. 3 STICK DAY: - 3 sticks only in the golf bag. Make selection before play. AMBROSE: -3-4 players hit off as a team - Select the best ball of the team, other players take their ball to the selected ball, drop and hit from there. -Same applies to the green. At this point ball is placed not dropped. MONA CLARK x 2 ROUNDS STABLEFORD EVENT First Mona Clark Shield awarded by Mona in Mona started playing at 18 in 1934, and continued to play for more than 50 years. Mona was made a Life Member and was also President in 1963, 64 & 65.

22 MARGARET SAMBLEBE BROOCH X 1 ROUND STABLEFORD EVENT Margaret joined the club in 1989 and was a member until During this time she was a Handicap Manager. Margaret Samblebe Brooch donated in memory of Margaret by her family in The brooch can only be won once, but in the event of this happening the winner will have her name engraved on the plaque. KATH HOMEWOOD 36 HOLES STROKE AGGREGATE 2 X 18 HOLE SROKE Kath joined the Club in 1959 (approx). Lady Captain in 1971, 72, 74, 75, 97 & 98. Lady President in 1985, 86, 94, 95 & 96. Pennant player for years. Lady President of Dalhousie. Life Member of Yea Golf Club. Represented Yea at many, many Inter Club tournaments, etc with much success. During her membership she won most club events, sometimes more than once. Tireless club worker, generous with her food and flowers for all events. MONA MacLeod BROOCHES: 2 x 18 hole Stroke Rounds. Cards to be submitted to WGV as soon as 2nd round played. The brooches are given in memory of Miss Mona MacLeod, who won the Australian Championship 5 times, and was President of VLGU from 1943 until her death in ISOBEL BETT TOURNAMENT: 18 holes Stroke. Isobel was a tireless worker for the community in general and the Yea Golf Club in particular. She was President in 1970, 71 & 78 and represented the Club at tournaments throughout the district, as well as at Dalhousie meetings and events. She died in 1980 in her mid 50s and the following year, her family donated the trophy which is played for each year at the tournament named in her honour.

23 JACK BAYNES MEMORIAL DAY: The Jack Baynes Memorial Day commenced in It is a Canadian Mixed Handicap event held annually. The day is hosted by his family as a loving memorial. ECLECTIC: Competition of birdies and gobblers to be conducted during all 18 hole stroke, stableford and par events on Wednesday and Saturdays as per the syllabus. MONTHLY MEDAL: Eight stroke rounds during the season. Monthly winners play off for the gold medal. CANADIAN FOURSOMES: Own partners, best 2 of 2 stroke rounds. For a player without a partner on these days there will be a concurrent stroke event, the best nett score over the three rounds. In event of a draw a count back will occur over the last 9 holes on the card. PUTTING AGGREGATE: On Wednesdays to be run over the winter months, rules to be decided by the Match Committee.
