4 Public Liability - Golf Members All members are advised that acts of negligence by persons playing golf are the personal responsibility of the golfer and generally will not constitute a negligent act by the Club. It is therefore recommended that all members carry Personal Public Liability Insurance and that members should check their domestic insurance policies to ensure that adequate cover is provided. Use of the Course All players must report to the Pro Shop prior to commencement of any play. Time sheets exist for all competition play and are open for bookings seven days in advance. At no time is alcohol to be brought onto the premises. Alcohol may be purchased from the Pro Shop bottle shop. A Commercial Golf Resort employee must be present to provide alcohol to players on corporate days and group bookings. Dress Regulations Members are requested to adhere to dress regulations both on the course and in the clubhouse. Suitable golf attire is mandatory at all times for all players. This includes for men, shirt with collar and sleeves, dress pants/shorts with suitable white sports socks. Golf shoes or flat-soled sports shoes are acceptable. Soft spikes are encouraged over metal spikes. Speed of Play Your place in the field is behind the group in front, not in front of the group behind. Any group responsible for slow play may be penalised.the penalty will be determined by the Match Committee. Course Care Members are requested to adhere to the following: Please carry and use a sand bucket to repair your divots and those close to you that may require attention. On the green please repair your plug marks and any others you see. In bunkers all uneven sand should be raked over as you exit. Rakes should be left in the bunker facing the direction of the hole but well away from the edges. 4

5 Motorised Vehicles Motorised vehicles can cause damage to the course if they are not used appropriately. Please adhere to the following: Be considerate of other players. Vehicles are not to be driven inside the blue lines marked around the greens and must not be driven onto, or across greens or tees. At certain times of the year, for the protection of the course, vehicles may be prohibited. Any members wishing to use their own motorised vehicle must first gain approval from the Club Professional. Children under the age of 18 years of age are not permitted to drive motorised vehicles at any time. Rules of Competition Play Competition entry and score cards All players must report to the Pro Shop at least twenty minutes prior to their hit-off time. If a player misses their hit off time staff will endeavour to find that player a game, but this cannot be guaranteed. It is the responsibility of the player to return all competition cards completed in accordance with the rules of golf to the Pro Shop immediately at the completion of play. Grades will be determined on the day of competition. In championships and tournaments the Match Committee will determine the grades. 5

6 Match Play Competitions Each round is to be played on or before the specified date. If competitors cannot agree on a time to play, they must contact the Captain or the Club Professional. The match play index on the scorecard is to be used. Any appeals must be submitted to the Captain in writing for a ruling. Mobile Phones Mobile phones are not permitted to be turned on during a competition round, except with prior approval from the Club Professional. Practice Practice on the course on a competition day is prohibited other than prior to an authorised match play event. A member may play a social game using a maximum of two balls provided it does not cause interference to other players. Practice balls must not be hit from the practice fairway onto the course proper. This includes the first fairway. Any person not adhering to the rules of practice should be reported to the Club Professional. 6
