Bruce Laing Cup Played over two rounds of single versus par, with the best aggregate score determining the winner. May 12 and June 30. Eclectic Played over six monthly medal rounds. The winner is determined after deducting from his final score half his handicap at the time of the final round, i.e. the handicap deduction is calculated on the last day, not at the start. Conditions for handicap matchplay In single match play the lowest marker concedes to his opponent the full difference in handicap. In four ball match play the lowest marker gives each of the other three the full difference in handicap. Club rules regarding conditions of play All events over 18 holes unless otherwise stated Competitors in match play who have finished square after 18 holes must continue from the tee first played until a result is obtained. All matches MUST be played by date set down unless special permission is obtained from the Captain. In the event of a tie in ordinary competition, except when the match committee decides to divide the trophy, the winner shall be decided by a count back, In major events ties shall be decided by a playoff. Members are required to acquaint themselves with the local rules of the club. All changes will be listed on the notice board. Ambrose handicaps are: - 2 persons 1/4, 3 persons 1/6, 4 persons 1/8 of total combined handicaps. Priority on the course In the absence of special rules: Two ball matches have precedence over and be entitled to pass any three or four ball match. A single player has no standing and must give way to match of any kind. Any match playing a whole round is entitled to pass a match playing a shorter round If a match fails to keep its place on the course, and loses more than one clear hole on the players in front, it must allow the match following to pass. Social players have no priority on the course. 8 9

6 Handicapping Members are requested to return cards regularly for handicapping purposes. Members must swipe their golf link cards before each competition round. New Members It is the responsibility of all new members to acquaint themselves with the rules and regulations of the club including dress regulations. Visitors Visitors are eligible to compete in events on competition days excepting board events, major events and medals. Visitors must pay nominated green fees as well as competition fees. Complaints All complaints shall be made in writing to the Secretary /Manager of the club, who shall submit the same to the board. Putting and NTP s on stroke days, NTP s on Stableford days. 2. Players are requested to report to the starter at least 15 minutes before their starting time. 3. Point scores are taken on all single stroke rounds (Par and Stableford) on Thursdays. 4. VISITORS are eligible to compete on competition days excepting major events and medals. They must produce their handicap certificate on request. Visitors must pay nominated green fees as well as competition fees. 5. The lowest handicap player in each group is responsible for the observance of the rules and etiquette of the game

22 Stableford, par and match play Stableford, Par, Fourball vs Par and Stableford are played with full handicaps. Match Play, is played with full difference in stroke handicap of the two players. International Match Play index is on the back of scorecards. Cards from match play competition will not be accepted for handicap purposes BLOCK ENTRY covers GNSW rounds, Veterans, Rudd Allen. Golf Etiquette 1. No one should move, talk or stand close to or directly behind the ball or hole, when a player is addressing the ball or making a stroke. 2. The player who has the honor, should be allowed to play before his opponent or fellow competitor tees his ball 3. No player shall play until players ahead are out of range. 4. In the interest of all, players should play without delay. Having LOST a ball, CALL the following group through IMMEDIATELY. 5. Before leaving a bunker, players should carefully rake out all footprints. 6. All divot marks and all ball marks on the green should be repaired. 7. Avoid as much as possible standing or walking near the hole. 8. When the results of the hole have been determined players should leave the putting surface immediately. Mark cards on next tee as others are preparing to play. 9. Players must not play practice shots from mown fairways into any green not allocated for that purpose. 10. Sand buckets must be used to fill divots. 11. Remember your place in the field is immediately behind the group in front, not just ahead of the group behind
