15 Games This section has been designed to provide the user with a general overview of the various games that can be played at a TopGolf game centre. Each section gives an explanation of the game rules and to familiarise the user of the different screen styles seen within the Bay monitors, two example games have been documented Top Golf Games Operation Summary Withdraw the golf balls from the dispensing machine, each game will have twenty balls dispensed If playing with other members within the bay ensure the baskets are placed on the different coloured circles within the bay (each member will have to remember which colour their basket is placed on) Place balls in the I.D. Ball Tray next to the mat. Scan each ball by allowing it to roll in the direction of the arrow, onto the mat. The Green light indicates the balls has been registered and can be played. Failure to register the ball will result in a zero score even if a target on the range is hit Check the monitor screen, the name of the member will appear and the first ball will be displayed. The means the first ball has been registered and is ready to be played The shot can now be played If the shot lands within one of the eleven targets, the monitor display will change to show which target that has been hit, how far the ball has travelled and what score has been awarded (this could take up to five seconds for the result to be displayed Continue playing with another ball or now another member can register their first ball and commence playing After all twenty balls have been hit, the system will add up the scores and will display a Game Over message. The system will then display the leader board and any updated handicaps (a handicap will only be displayed once three games have been completed, for more information please refer to the Rules for TopGolf) I.D.Ball System User Guide Version 2.1 Section 15 Page 2

Top Golf Rules To Accumulate Points During A Game: Any target can be chosen within the game Any target can be chosen within this game For each target zone hit points will be awarded If a highlighted zone displayed on the monitor screen is successfully hit then the next ball will receive double the points. If a target is missed no points will be awarded Ball eleven is known as the Bonus Ball if the Bonus Ball hits a highlighted zone 10 additional points will be awarded Maximum Possible Scores: The total maximum score possible is 400 The maximum score for the first ball is 10 The maximum score for any other ball (except the Bonus Ball) is 20 The maximum score for the Bonus ball is 30 (20+10) I.D.Ball System User Guide Version 2.1 Section 15 Page 3

TopGolf Game Example Collect balls from the ball dispensing machines. Select an empty bay. Ensure that the welcome screen is displayed on the bay monitor. Register the ball and play the shot The shot has been played and was successful. The monitor will now display the distance reached (137yds), the target hit (outer blue) and the amount of points awarded (5) Three shots have now been played. Shot 1 missed all of the targets therefore no points have been awarded. Shots 2 & 3 were successful. The fourth shot will receive double points if successful. Any double pointed shot will be displayed in blue The fourth shot hit the outer target of the yellow zone; the scoring would now be 3 for the outer zone x2 as it was a Counts Double shot. The current score for this game now currently stands at 15. Shot 5 failed to hit any targets See next page I.D.Ball System User Guide Version 2.1 Section 15 Page 4

10 shots have now been played with the members score standing at 33. The eleventh shot is the Bonus Ball, if the ball hits any green zone 10 bonus points will be awarded Shot number 11 unfortunately missed the green target and hit the outer yellow target instead; therefore the 10 bonus points have not been awarded. Shot number 12 failed to hit a target at all This shot was successful and counted as double points. The ball landed in the outer pink zone therefore the scoring would be 8 (4x2). Shot 20 turns out to be an Extra Practice Ball. When played the score will not be affected by this shot See next page I.D.Ball System User Guide Version 2.1 Section 15 Page 5

Shot 20 is played but fails to hit any of the targets and no score is registered The game has now been completed with the final score being 61. If this player had played more than three games of TopGolf a handicap screen will now be displayed I.D.Ball System User Guide Version 2.1 Section 15 Page 6

Top Chip Rules Top Chip is designed to improve a golfers short game. Balls 1 to 5 should go into the red targets Balls 6 to 10 should go into the yellow targets Balls 11 to 20 should go into the green target The monitor screen will indicate which target to aim for as play continues If the intended target is hit points are scored. However if the wrong target is hit points will be deducted If the centre of the target is hit the points scored with the next ball are doubled However if the wrong target is hit double the amount of points will be deducted Hit the centre of the green target with the eleventh ball and an extra 10 points will be awarded Maximum score for TopChip is 234 (based on a par of 150 points) I.D.Ball System User Guide Version 2.1 Section 15 Page 7

TopChip Game Example Register a ball and select the TopChip game from the game menu. The TopChip Welcome screen will be displayed. Shots 1 5 should be aimed at the red targets Shot 1 was successful. It hit the outer zone of the red target, travelled 28yds and scored 2 points Shots 2,3 & 4 were also successful. Shot 5 however missed the red target. The next set of 5 balls will be aimed at the yellow target The first shot at the yellow targets was successful. The ball hit the outer zone, went 79yds and scored 3 points See next page I.D.Ball System User Guide Version 2.1 Section 15 Page 8

The 5 balls have now been used for the yellow targets, 3 were successful and 2 were not. Balls are now to be aimed at the green targets, this particular shot is also the Bonus Ball. The current game score is 25 Balls have now been played. Ball 14 is displaying a negative score. This indicates that the green target has been missed and another target has been hit. The points are therefore deducted from the current total score Ball 18 was hit which was a Double points ball. This unfortunately missed the green target but hit the yellow target. Because this shot was for double points it means the points are deducted twice (3 for hitting the yellow target x 2 because it was a double points shot, but because it was yellow and not green the points are deducted = -6) All 20 balls have now been used and the game is over. The final score for the game is 22.The system will now calculate the handicap The members Handicap will now be updated and displayed on the bay monitor. Please Note: If the score was good enough to enter the top 100 for the day it will be added to the Big Screen leader board displayed in reception I.D.Ball System User Guide Version 2.1 Section 15 Page 9

TopShot Rules Top Shot is designed to improve a golfers long game: Balls 1 to 5 should hit the BROWN target Balls 6 to 10 should hit the BLUE target Balls 11 to 15 should hit the PINK target Balls 10 to 16 should hit the BLACK target I.D.Ball System User Guide Version 2.1 Section 15 Page 10

The monitor screen will indicate which target to aim for as play continues If the intended target is hit points are scored. However if the wrong target is hit points will be deducted If the centre of the target is hit the points scored with the next ball are doubled However if the wrong target is hit double the amount of points will be deducted Hit the centre of a target with the eleventh ball and an extra 10 points will be awarded Maximum score for TopShot is 400 I.D.Ball System User Guide Version 2.1 Section 15 Page 11

TopBreak Rules TopBreak is a fun game based on the game of snooker. For example Shot 1: Hit a Red Target Shot 2: Hit a Coloured Target i.e. Blue 2 4 Shot 3: Hit a Red Target Shot 4: Hit another coloured target i.e. Pink 1 3 Continue aiming for the red targets until all reds have been successfully pocketed (or have run out of balls) If there are balls remaining target the colours in the following order, Yellow- Green-Brown-Blue-Pink and Black Scoring: 1 Point 3 Points 5 Points 7 Points 2 Points 4 Points 6 Points Double points will be awarded if the middle of a target is hit If the centre of a red target is hit the score of the next ball will be doubled If a wrong target is hit the shot will be deemed a foul and 4 or more points will be deducted i.e. if the red is the target but the yellow is hit the member will lose 4 points, if the target is black but another target is hit then 7 points will be deducted Maximum Score for TopBreak is: 264 I.D.Ball System User Guide Version 2.1 Section 15 Page 12

TopPressure Rules TopPressure is a fun game but will also help to improve the short game of a golfer. The game can be enjoyed by all standards of golfer, with the level of difficulty increasing as the game progresses. The yellow target has been divided into nine separate scoring zones. Each zone has to be hit to progress to the next level The aim of the game is to get as many points as possible with 20 balls. The Bay monitor will display how many balls have been hit, which zones have been hit successfully and the score Up to five people may play this game at one time The zone lines are marked on the two yellow targets I.D.Ball System User Guide Version 2.1 Section 15 Page 13

15.2 Handicaps The TopGolf system calculates the handicaps based on the following: The last 100 qualifying games of TopGolf only Note - A qualifying game is classed as having at least 15 balls played The calculation is as follows: Take the average of the top 10% of those scores Subtract from the system Par = 250 Divide by 5 This is the handicap For example: A player plays 4 games with scores of 150, 165, 170 and 180 Therefore the top 10% = (par) 180 (score) = divided by 5 = 14 Therefore the players handicap = 14 Points given as head start will dependant on the resultant handicap: Multiply the handicap (Handicap of 14 based on above example) by factor depending on game Game Factor Points TopGolf 5 14 x 5 = 70 TopChip 3 14 x 3 = 42 TopShot 4 14 x 4 = 56 TopBreak 2 14 x 2 = 28 TopPressure 2 14 x 2 = 28 I.D.Ball System User Guide Version 2.1 Section 15 Page 14
