DAY 1: AUCKLAND: ITINERARY After collecting your luggage, you ll be transferred to your Auckland hotel with the rest of the day at leisure. 2 This morning pick-up your rental car and head towards the Bay of Islands. The par 72 championship golf course measures 7,119 yards/ 6,510 metres and offers five sets of tees to challenge every skill level. Fifteen holes view the Pacific Ocean, six of which are played alongside cliffs which plunge to the sea. The beautiful inland holes wind through marsh, forest and farmland. The golf complex includes a world-class practice range, putting and chipping greens, a well-stocked golf shop, and ladies and men s locker rooms. Callaway ladies and men s rental clubs are available. DAY 4: BAY OF ISLANDS AUCKLAND (approximately 334km) Depart Paihia travelling north and then south to Kaitaia. This route will take you back to Auckland via the Kauri Coast and the lovely village of Hokianga. Overnight: Guest Studio - Adina Apartment Hotel (B) DAY 5: AUCKLAND LAKE TAUPO (approximately 275 kms) This route will take you through rolling hills and farms and into the cultural center of Rotoura where you may wish to stop at Te Puia for a guided tour of this amazing cultural center and view the geysers as they release steam and mud into the air. It s a short 1 hour journey from Rotorua to Lake Taupo for your next golfing stop. 2

3 The landscape is anchored by Lake Taupo, a massive volcanic crater created by an eruption in 181AD. Its pristine fresh water is teeming with trout, making it a popular fishing destination. It's also a great spot for swimming, water-skiing, kayaking, cruising, parasailing and floatplane landings. Those seeking more exhilarating adventures can take a wild ride on a white water raft or jet boat along one of the many contributing rivers. Once back on shore thrill seekers will relish the chance to take up some quad biking, mountain boarding, bungee jumping or even skydiving. The Tongariro National Park is a stunning world heritage area protecting the famous volcanoes, Ruapehu, Tongariro and Ngauruhoe. With an abundance of walking tracks the park beckons seasoned hikers as well as those simply seeking an adventurous day out. The Tongariro Crossing is a strenuous 17 kilometre day-long hike past Mount Ngauruhoe and over Mount Tongariro that showcases the lunar like landscape and panoramic views. In the winter the park is most famed for its ski fields; Whakapapa and Turoa are on Mount Ruapehu and are the most popular in the country. However, instead of traditional sea views, this world-class championship Par 72 course is positioned between panoramic views of Lake Taupo, New Zealand s largest Fresh-water lake, and the natural beauty of rugged rural farmland. Ranked as New Zealand s number one golf course in 2014 by a select team of esteemed New Zealand Golf Professionals the Kinloch Club is also rated 76th of the top 100 golf courses outside of America by Golf Digest Magazine. 4 DAY 8: GOLF CAPE KIDNAPPERS Designed by legendary golf architect Tom Doak, the par 71 golf course measures 7,119 yards (6,510 meters) and will challenge golfers of all skill levels. Completed in 2004, Cape Kidnappers has been hailed as one of the great modern marvels in golf and is currently ranked the 41st best golf course in the world by Golf Magazine. Overnight: Studio Room Crown Hotel - Napier DAY 9: NAPIER TO MARTINBOROUGH approximately 271km This morning, for a complete change of pace, head into the heart of Hawkes Bay and through the Wairapa Valley and finally into Martinborough for your night s stay. Wairarapa sits at the heart of the Classic New Zealand Wine Trail offering landscape that is wild and diverse. Martinborough Wine Village is packed with charm and is home to 20, largely family owned, wineries. The unique part is they are mostly all within walking or cycling distance of each other. Neighbouring Greytown is a country village with metropolitan style, beautifully preserved Victorian wooden buildings house design and gift shops, an artisan French bakery and Schoc Chocolates, a gourmet chocolate studio serving up some sensational flavours including lime chilli and sea salt. Overnight: Wine Makers Cottage - Peppers Parehau Martinborough (B) DAY 10: MARTINBOROUGH WELLINGTON approximately 81km If you ve had enough of wineries, local food and produce, your short drive to Wellington will allow you time to get in a last game of golf at one of the many golf courses located between Martinborough and Wellington. 5 DAY 11: WELLINGTON This morning your golfing adventure on the beautiful North Island of New Zealand comes to an end.
