5 CAPTAIN INFORMATION SHEET As Team Captain you will be expected to: 1. Attend any meetings called by the League Director that require your presence. If you are not able to attend then make sure the co-captain is present. 2. Make sure you have a full team on league nights If your team cannot make a match, it is the captain s responsibility to contact the opposing team s captain. (24 hrs but no later than 4 hrs. in advance of league starting time.) Be courteous to the other team to give them the time to make all the necessary arrangements on such a cancellation. 4. Be responsible for your team s conduct during league play. 5. Collect all money for your team before the match. No Pay No Play! (Standard $10 per player unless stated) 6. Be sure the correct handicaps are entered into the dart machine before league play starts if subs are added; otherwise boards are already set for play. 7. Notify WCD of any player changes, rescheduled matches or matches played early. 8. Board Malfunctions or league settings are not correct during a match? Stop match, Contact the opposing team immediately of the problem. Notify WCD DO NOT CONTINUE the match until an agreement is made! If match is continued as agreed upon, the match will stand and will NOT be replayed! Every effort must be made by the team captains to resolve any disputes. Remember leagues are supposed to be fun. Refer to your rules to cover most situations. Our rule book is a set of guidelines to help captains solve a problem if a disagreement arises. Common sense and good sportsmanship are to be used if a solution is not explicit in the rules. Remember to have fun and enjoy yourselves. Why can I not connect or see the other remote team? Make sure you have selected the following: And that you have checked the schedule and already know if you are the Home team or the Away team. Now select accordingly 1) League Mode 2) Approx. 4 down, Play REMOTE League 3) Select your division name 4) Who is local? You will always be the local. Find your name 5) Home or Away? Select the correct one 6) Find your opponents name 7) Wait to see the cameras picture pop up to verify they are there before you pump in all your $$. Its not a slot machine or ATM you will not get it back right away without a Hot Button your vendor offers that as an option. If you are still unable to connect reboot the machine. A) Turn the switch off on the back right side of machine. Than unplug wait a minute.. B) Plug it back in and turn the switch back on.. Let it run through the start-up process. Still having a problem Check your locations boards for access to the internet. 1) Go to Main Menu Screen on the G3 2) Go to Instructions 3) General Dart Info -This will bring up a dartboard face on the screen. (Called the Spider) 4) Now hit the "Triple 9" continuously until another screen pops up that asks "Start Test". 5) Start the Test...This will run a diagnostic test...it runs through about 5. If all has not failed you should be good to go. 1

6 FORFEITS & MAKE-UP MATCHES - View 1. If your team cannot make a match, it is the captain s responsibility to contact the opposing team s captain (contact info can be found online under current league). 2. At 8:15pm if the opposing team is not there you may enter a forfeit in the dartboard. A forfeit can also be recorded by contacting WCD. (We prefer teams to make matches up if possible- See #4). 3. How to enter a forfeit into the board- Select league menu, choose play league, choose your league. The key is to choose your team name as both the home team and away team. So first choose your team name as the home team. Then it will ask for your dues. Once those have been inserted choose your team name again as the away team. The board will ask Is this match a forfeit? Choose yes We would prefer to have teams play rather than forfeit if both teams can agree to make up a match at a later date. Please contact WCD to record a makeup date and to confirm the availability of the dartboard. Both teams must acknowledge one another that they understand the makeup date and time. 5. Both teams are still responsible for their weekly dues which will be deducted at the end of the season prior to payout unless already inserted into the dartboard. 6. The team that cannot make the original match will have to take the forfeit if the opposing team cannot make it up. 7. If the opposing team generally agrees to make up a match in the future but cannot, the team who originally could not make it receives the forfeit. 8. If both teams agree to a specific make- up date (including date and time through with WCD copied in) it as treated as a new scheduled match. Therefore whoever cannot make that match will have to forfeit. 9. If a team is removed or quits, we will determine the best course of action in regards to forfeits and future matches. This may involve removing wins/losses from matches previously played. 10. For the integrity of the league, it is crucial that teams play the final weeks of the season. Every match does have an impact on the final outcome regardless of your standings. Since it is impossible to force teams to play, WCD will determine (with careful deliberation) the final score of the matches not played during the following weeks: Fall/Winter Long Season- Last 5 scheduled matches and Spring & Summer Seasons- Last 3 scheduled matches Games must be made up by the end of the season (your division s last match date) & before any playoffs or position rounds are scheduled unless extra time is granted by WCD. PLAYER ETIQUETTE 1. Attempts to distract an opponent while they are shooting will not be tolerated. Heckling, chanting or other harassment is strictly forbidden. 2. No verbal conversation towards the player at the line. 3. No vulgar language towards a player or team member. 4. A Player may NOT practice on another board during their game once the match has begun. 5. Respect the time limits to throw - no more than 15 seconds between darts and no more than 30 seconds between player switches. 6. Coaching? well some of us need a little... After all, who still actually has to hit the mark? 7. Players are responsible for the boards. If a board is damaged due to hitting, kicking, or negligence, the player is obligated to pay for the damages. NO EXCEPTIONS. 8. If you commit, Don t Quit! 9. Use common sense, enjoy the game and have fun! Good sportsmanship should be the prevailing factor during all league competition! 1.B

7 GENERAL STATEMENt We want to welcome you to All Florida Amusement West Coast Darters of Florida dart leagues and thank you for playing! Our league is designed around the player from all skilled levels. The league takes NONE of your team league fees and pays them back 100% to YOU! 2 No team is going to get rich with their end of season winnings. However, it is nice to pay some money in and get money back even if you don t come in the top 3! Your eligible for NDA Tournaments & F.A.S.T. Floida State tournament! Why Play? The dart leagues have been put together to be as fair as possible & for everyone to have fun, learn more about darts and people, improve his/her game, and to get the chance to play games with pointy objects, without poking an eye out. It s a great chance to put to good use your communication skills, practice good sportsmanship and to remember that element called common sense. It s where you meet new people. It s where you get out once a week with your old high school buddies. It s where you enjoy some true dart competition. It s where you break your own personal record. The WCD Electronic Dart League has been formed with you, the dart shooter, in mind. Some new changes you will notice this season by joining and participating in West Coast Darters of Florida Dart League include: New dart boards in more locations Cash prizes Reduced player game fees Additional leagues New payout structure (Higher the division the higher the payouts) New playoff format Parity divisions RULES We do not write rules in anticipation so not every little thing will be in this guide. If we did, the Captain s Book would be both excessive in size and inefficient in utilization. Rules are an evolutionary process an abuse occurs, a rule is written. Rules change. However, we must live with the rules as they are contained herein until said rules do change. Rules are to prevent abuse! Rules cannot be a toll for winning! Note: The WCD league reserves the right to negate or modify any rule contained herein when it is necessary to protect the parity of the league and/ or the harmony of an event. As with all new initiatives, we expect there will be some small bumps and bruises along the way, however, with a little patience we re sure your experience will be a pleasant one. We encourage all Captains to contact the league coordinator whenever there is a question regarding rules, rosters, ratings, protests, game set up, Playoffs, etc. If you have a question, suggestion or recommendation, STOP play, don t wait Call!! 2

8 June 2016 West Coast Darters of Florida RULES All rules are derived from the National Dart Association (NDA) OFFICIAL RULES OF PLAY OF ELECTRONIC DARTING. WCD OF FLORIDA DART LEAGUE rules supersede NDA rules where the same issues are addressed. Teams may mutually decide to waive parts of the rules. League Management should be contacted in these instances The TEAM ROSTER will consist of 4 person teams - 4 regular players and up to six substitutes. 2 on 2 teams will consist of 2 regular players and four substitutes. PLAYERS MUST BE 18 YEARS OLD TO PARTICIPATE. Any player under the age of 21 must call ahead to the bar they are playing at to make sure the bar owner is aware of their age. Bar owners have the right to refuse to allow players under the age of 21 INTO THEIR BAR. If the bar owner will not allow a player into their bar because of their age, the team must use a substitute. 2. STARTING TIME* for all matches will be 7:30 / 8:00 p.m. Teams will be allowed a 20-minute grace period. At 10 minutes before/20 minutes after the hour the team not present will forfeit one game. One game will be forfeited for every ten minutes up to three games. At 8:10/8:40 the match will be forfeited. If all members of the team are present at 8:00, the match should begin at that time. The grace period is not to be used for extra practice time. Practicing is not allowed while you are currently engaged in a game. Practicing is not allowed on the game board once a match has been started. Practicing is allowed while you are sitting out during the match on an open board. 3. The COST OF PLAYING DARTS will be: 1) $3 per person sign-up fee.- allocated to the annual top 40 Qualifier Series program. 2) Sponsor fee* of $30.00 per 4 person team to be paid by the sponsoring bar by the sixth week. $20 per 2 person leagues where posted. If the sponsoring bar does not pay the sponsor fee, it will become the responsibility of the team. 3) NDA sanction fee of $8.00 per player per year to be paid by the fourth week of the season. This is a mandatory fee all players must be members. NDA sanctioning year runs from September 1st to August 31st. If you play on more than one night you only need to sanction once. If you are sanctioned through another league you need to submit your permanent NDA number to us. 4) $10.00 per player per night for the prize fund includes quarters for game play all divisions, except where posted in alternative leagues. 4. 9 Players who have never played WC Dart League but have an established mpr (minimum 24 league games) from another league will use their established mpr. A player who does not have an established mpr will establish their average after 3 weeks of play. All new players and all players from another league will be looked at after 6 weeks to eliminate sandbagging. If the new player s average is higher than the team estimated and it puts the team over the maximum team average, the team will have to reorganize or drop from the league. Adjustments will be made to the games won by the team for the weeks they played overrated. League management has the right to assign averages to players with known ability. This rule does not apply to new players participating in Handicap Divisions. In a handicap division player s averages are updated weekly. These averages are used to determine the amount of handicap received by teams weekly. If a new player comes into a handicap division and he puts the team over the team cap, the machine will adjust the amount of handicap in each game to make both teams equal. However, after 3 weeks of play, if a new player on a handicap division has an average above the allowed average for the division, the player must be replaced. 4 TEAM CAPS- If a team is over the team cap by a substantial amount any time after week 3 but before the 10 th week then the team may be required to either restructure or drop out of the league if required by league management. If the team is using a player that has not played enough weeks to establish an average then the number of weeks may be extended to allow the minimum required weeks played by a new player. If a team drops then games played will stand for the first round only if the first round is completed. The number of weeks may be changed if there is a new player still trying to establish their average. If the team restructures then they will lose 1 game for each match played. If a team decides to or is required to restructure then they must follow the league starting team cap. PLAYER AVERAGES & RANKING- Players will maintain a book average as long as they are playing WC Dart leagues. Players will be removed after 2 years/4 dart seasons from the average book but can still be rated by WCD under the players with known ability rule. Averages will not change in the average book until players reach a minimum of 48 games in a season, so players who just substitute will not change until the required number of games are met. If a player plays multiple nights/divisions we will take the highest average from one division not an average of all of them. The default averages for fun leagues and lower divisions for a player without an average in the rating book will be 2.5mpr for men or 1.8mpr for women in Cricket, 25 for men and 20 for women in 01 when setting up the machine. The handicaps will then be figured automatically for the remainder of the games. After 3 weeks of league play players will establish a more realistic average. 10 OFFICIAL SKILL RATING PROCEDURE Points Per Dart (PPD) and Marks Per Round (MPR) are the official means of classifying and ranking players. PPD: Points Per Dart is used for all 01 games, (301, 501, etc.). To obtain a PPD, divide the total points by the number of actual darts thrown. Example: Player #1 wins the game with his 12th dart. He has achieved a total of 301 points. His PPD is (301 / 12 = 25.08). The winner of the game will use the total points of the game, (301, 501, etc.) all other players will use the actual points scored as reported by the machine. 5 MPR: Marks Per Round is used for all Cricket games. To obtain a MPR, divide the total number marks scored by the actual number of darts thrown. Then multiply by three (3). Example: Player #1 wins the game with their 46th dart. They have achieved a total of 59 marks. Their MPR is 3.85 (59 / 46 x 3 = 3.85). SANDBAGGING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. Sandbagging is purposefully throwing lower than your ability to skew your average. If your team plays against a player that is sandbagging, you should file a written complaint with League Management, signed by all team members along with a brief description of the circumstances. After written complaints from three different teams in the division, League Management in coordination with the Rules Committee will monitor the player. If it is determined that the player is sandbagging, the player will be expelled from the division for the remainder of the season. If a player scores above their rating, is that sandbagging? Not necessarily. It may be a momentary response to a competitive situation. It may be the reflection of dedication and practice. It may be a high point in the normal fluctuations (hot and cold) that are a part of a player s rating. There can be conditions that cause a player s league performance (stats and rating) to be significantly below their tournament ability, for example work, schedule, alcohol, on site obligations, teammate s complacency, etc. Said player is not a sandbagger. However, if there is a consistent pattern of a player scoring higher in no-stat games, matches and/ or events than the player scores when stats are being recorded, it is sandbagging! Solution WCD Leagues cannot solve sandbagging. Sandbagging will only be minimized (never totally eliminated) through the combined efforts of the players, the location owners, the Affiliated Dart Operators. 5. DARTS may not weigh more than 60 grams collectively. 20 grams per dart. 6. TEAM CAPTAINS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CHECKING THE DART MACHINE OR THE STANDINGS SECTION OF THE WEB PAGE WEEKLY and notifying their team members of any changes. Any changes in scheduling, team locations or any pertinent information will be listed on the dart machines and the web page weekly. We will not print and mail weekly standing sheets to the bars all information will be on the dart machines and updated each Saturday morning. Team captains are responsible for checking their rosters and notifying the League Coordinator of any misspelled names or incorrect players. 5

11 7. TEAM MONIES are paid directly into the boards before any matches can be played. 8. NDA SANCTIONING - All players must join the National Dart Association. Dues are $8.00 per year and the sanctioning year runs from September 1 st to August 31 st. If you Use your own envelope. Mark NDA Dues add Full Names - Address Male or Female. Be sure to fill out your envelope completely. If we can t read your handwriting we do not know which team to credit the money to!! Checks are not accepted at this time. Players that play on more than one night you only need to sanction once. If you are sanctioned through another league you need to submit your permanent NDA number to us. Substitute players must sanction after their third week of play. Only NDA sanctioned players will receive award pins. Players that have not sanctioned by the 4 th week will have their fees deducted from their league fees. A substitute must be sanctioned after 3 weeks of play for one team. 9. THE DART MATCH WILL CONSIST OF 13 GAMES, 15 GAMES OR 16 GAMES. Paperless league follow board settings. If paper scoring is needed the home team is responsible to fill out their roster first. The Player rotation format will determine the players for each game except the final game. All team members will follow the player rotation for each game. 10. DEFAULT AVERAGES FOR HANDICAPPED DIVISIONS: Players that are being added to handicap divisions that do not have a book average will use the default averages: Which the player starts at max for 01 with a 40; max for Cricket with a 3+. After several games and matches have been played, an average will automatically be established. See Dart League Handicapping for details on formulas used. (See Arachnid Handicapping formula.) 11. CRICKET DIVISON TEAMS will be playing 13 games of Cricket using the Handicap. The Player rotation will determine the players participating in each game and the machine will display the handicap when the game begins. New players must be added using the add a player feature. New players will be given a default average for the first week. After the first week their player average will be used. When adding a substitute, you must enter that players average or the default of 2.0 for men or 1.8 for women when setting up the machine. The handicaps will then be figured automatically for the remainder of the games. THE 2 ON 2 A DIVISION will be playing 15 Games - 3 games of 501 Freeze, single in/single out with a fat bull, 3 games of of Cricket, 4 games of 301 Freeze, Double In/Double Out, Fat Bull, 4 games of Cricket. The 15 th game will be 701 Stacked OI/DO Split Bull. Shooting position will be determined by the boards. The only time allowed for players to change the positions is at the start of the match. No changes are allowed in-between games. 2 ON 2 B, 2 ON 2 MIXED DIVISIONS AND MONDAY 2 ON 2 Fun Leagues will be playing Reversed Handicap. 15 Games - 3 games of 501 single in/ single out with a fat bull, 3 games of Cricket, 4 games of 301 OI/OO with Fat bull, 4 games of Cricket. The 15 th game will be 701 Stacked OI/MO Split Bull. Shooting position will be determined by the boards. The only time allowed for players to change the positions is at the start of the match. No changes are allowed in-between games. 2 ON 2 C will be playing Reversed Handicap. 16 Games -1 game of Bermuda, 3 games of 501 single in/ single out with a fat bull, 3 games of Cricket, 4 games of 301 OI/OO with Fat bull, 4 games of Cricket. The 16 th game will be 701 Stacked OI/OO Fat Bull. Shooting position will be determined by the boards. The only time allowed for players to change the positions is at the start of the match. No changes are allowed in-between games.. 6 6

12 2 ON 2 D, 2 ON 2 LADIES, 2 ON 2 MIXED AND IN-HOUSE DIVISIONS TBT (see flyers) 4 PERSON TEAMS will be playing Reversed Handicap. 13 Games - 6 games of 501 Freeze, SI/SO with a Fat Bull (50 point bulls eye), 6 games of Cricket. The 13 th game will be 701 OI/DO,Team Stacked Freeze,. 12. THE ROSTER CANNOT BE CHANGED AFTER THE FIRST DART IS THROWN. If you are missing a player at the start of the game you may play and push off for that player. If the missing player arrives, and you are playing Cricket, he may take his position and play the remainder of the games. If you are playing 301, the player must wait until the next game he is scheduled to play in. If you start the game with a substitute and your regular player arrives after the first dart is thrown you must play the match with your substitute. The home team is responsible for setting their lineup first and then the visiting team IN THE EVENT YOU HAVE TO PLAY THE MATCH WITH 1 LESS PLAYER, you should set up your roster by entering the missing player as ghost using the add a player feature. This indicates to us that you were playing with a ghost and all feats are invalid. In handicap divisions you should enter the ghost player using the default averages for your division. 2 on 2 Teams may not play with one player, a forfeit must be turned in RULE- If you are missing a player in 301 Freeze you may play using the 151 rule. When the machine is displaying the missing players score, manually score three double bulls to reduce the missing players score to 151. Push the player change button to advance the game to the next player. Push off for the missing player the remainder of the game. The partner of the missing player may take the game out if they are not frozen. In 501 games you should reduce the score to 251. The 151 rule only applies to divisions with 4 person teams and does not apply to the last game. In the last game you must push off for the missing player. 15. DUMMY SCORES & REPLACING NO SHOWS- If at the start of the match a player is not present a dummy score may be used. A dummy score may be used at any time during the match. The dummy scores in the 01 game are based on a 70% average of the original rating of the person who is absent. The score for 01 are manually entered each round on absent players score, down to approx.100 points remaining has been reached. Dummy scores than stop. Push player change button there after. So now it is up to the present players to finish the game at this point AND 501 MASTERS OUT CAN ONLY BE TAKEN OUT WITH A TRIPLE SEGMENT, DOUBLE SEGMENT OR DOUBLE BULL. If you take the game out on a single bull, even by accident, you will lose the game. 7

13 AND 501 FREEZE RULE- If you score your out number in a 301 or 501 game while you are frozen, YOU WILL LOSE THE GAME. You are frozen when your partner s score is larger than the sum of the opponents score. 18. SUBSTITUTES- you can have up to six substitutes on your roster to use during the course of the season. All substitutes must be on your roster by the end of the 14 th week of play. Substitutes may be added by filling out the roster change form or by notifying WCD. When using a substitute, enter that players name by using the add a player feature. You can now enter up to 12 digits and you must put at least the first initial and last full name. Fill out the roster change form indicating the correct spelling of the player s full name. Check the average of the substitute you are planning to use to ensure that they do not put you over the team cap. Mixed divisions must substitute a male for a male and a female for a female. Any substitute that has played at least 6 weeks of the current league season in another division will use the current league average or the book average whichever is higher for determining legal team caps. If a player has a beginning season book average of 2.0 and has played 6 weeks of the current season and has an average of 2.4 you must use the 2.4 or current average to determine if you can use this substitute. If the substitute plays multiple leagues in a season you will use the highest average or book average whichever is highest. Substitutes at 2 nd half of season that have no average and have not played for that team; may not play after week 14 or in Playoffs. (See Playoffs) League management may override this rule if deemed necessary. 19. ILLEGAL SUBSTITUTES Any substitute that has a current book average that puts a team over the allowed limit is an illegal substitute. If you think the opposing team is using an illegal sub that puts them over the team cap you should notify opposing team captain and League management within 24 hours of the conclusion of the match. If League Management determines that the substitute is illegal the score of the match will be adjusted. League management may override this rule if deemed necessary. League management may also catch illegal subs when the sub causes the team to be overrated. 20. There will be NO FLOATING SUBSTITUTES ALLOWED. Once you have substituted for a team you may not substitute for another team in the same division. You cannot play for 2 teams on the same night at the same time. 21. IF A PLAYER IS CAUGHT PLAYING UNDER SOMEONE ELSE S NAME THE TEAM WILL FORFEIT ALL GAMES OF THE MATCH. If you suspect someone is playing under an assumed name ask to see his ID. If the player does not have an ID and no one can vouch for this identity, the player will lose every game he plays in. The player must be caught before the end of the match. 22. FORFEITS- Both teams must pay for forfeits. Forfeit wins are based on their teams total win percentage (rounding up) or 51% of total match games played for that division, depending on which is higher. Forfeiting teams receive zero wins! Forfeits must be entered into the machine on the night of the forfeited match. Any team that forfeits excessively will be dropped from the league. EXAMPLE 1 BASED ON 15 GAME MATCH: EXAMPLE 2 BASED ON 15 GAME MATCH: TEAM (A) HAS 60% WIN TOTAL. TEAM (A) HAS 43% WIN TOTAL. Team A calls forfeit on Team B. Team B receives 0 wins; Team A calls forfeit on Team B. Team B receives 0 wins; Team A receives 9 wins (60%). Team A receives 8 wins (51%). 8 8

14 Any team forfeiting a match will be penalized as follows: a) First Offense- $ League Dues b) Second Offense-$ League Dues c) Third Offense-LOSS OF ALL PRIZE MONEY AND EJECTION FROM THE LEAGUE AND THE TEAM WILL BE INELIGABLE FROM THE STATE TOURNAMENT. 9 Any team that forfeits the last 2 weeks of the season will be dropped. *******Dropped teams will forfeit all money and prizes. ******** Remember Forfeits can always be avoided with communication! Please be considerate to all players and give them advanced notice. No one likes to drive all the way to a location and find out they are not playing that night! 23. BYES Some Divisions may start the season with a Bye a missing team. If a division begins the season with a bye, League Management has 4 weeks to find a team to take the bye. If a team is found in the allotted time, make-up games must be scheduled. All make-up games must be played BEFORE THE last two weeks of the season. If a team should drop out of a division, League Management has 2 weeks to fill the slot and the incoming team will assume the points of the team that has dropped. If a team is not found in 2 weeks, teams scheduled to play the dropped team will receive a bye and all scores for the matches the dropped team has played that round will be zeroed out. If your team has a bye you do not play, you do not pay and your standings do not change. If a bye in a division creates an uneven number of games played the standings will be determined by Team Win%. The Win% is calculated by games won divided by games played. 24. RESCHEDULES- Matches may be rescheduled. Matches may be played in advance of the scheduled date. If a team calls for a reschedule 24 hours no less than 4 hours in advance the reschedule must be allowed. Any other reschedules will be at the discretion of the Team Captain. Reschedules may be entered into the dart machine. Rescheduled matches must be played within two weeks of the original match date unless you have prior approval from the league coordinator. Reschedules in the last two weeks of the season are not allowed. All rescheduled matches must be played before the 15 th week. Rescheduled matches are allowed in week 15 and 16; however, they must be played within one week. When calling for a reschedule you must contact the opposing team captain. Bar owners, bartenders or the bar itself do not count. Teams may only have 2 outstanding rescheduled matches. Rescheduled matches will be played at the location they were originally scheduled at. 25. ALL MATCHES MUST BE PLAYED AT THE SCHEDULED LOCATION- Any match played at a location other than the scheduled location will not be accepted without WCD approval. No scores will be posted. You must play your match at the scheduled location to receive credit for your scores. If a location is to close during the season, regular or playoffs, the home team may choose a new location for their home matches. 26. HARASSMENT OR MISCONDUCT ON THE PART OF PLAYERS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. If you feel another team or another player s conduct is harassing or inappropriate, you should notify the team captain of the offending team or player. If the behavior continues you should warn them that if they continue you will be forced to file a complaint. Complaints must be filed with the League Coordinator. Any team or player who has three complaints filed against them during the course of the season will be expelled from the League. 9

15 27. FIGHTING OR DAMAGING THE DART MACHINE WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE EXPULSION FROM THE LEAGUE NO EXCEPTIONS. In the event of a fight, the player throwing the first punch will be expelled from the League. 28. COACHING AT THE THROW LINE WILL NOT BE ALLOWED. COACHING BY ANYONE OTHER THAN A TEAM MEMBER IS NOT ALLOWED. Players are allowed to coach other players on their team, but the coaching must be done before the player sets up at the throw line. A player is allowed to step back from the line to consult with other team members. Teams will be allowed one warning on coaching. If the coaching continues, the player receiving the coaching will lose their next turn. 29. Any player that has been barred from a bar they are scheduled to play in must call and ask permission to enter the bar. If permission is denied, a substitute must be used. 30. FOOT FOULS- Players are allowed to stand on or behind the foul line. Both feet must be behind the line when the dart hits the board. Both teams must witness foot fouls. Players will be given one warning. The second time a player has a foot foul he will lose his next turn. 31. SCORING The score recorded by the machine is the score the player receives. The player accepts that THE MACHINE IS ALWAYS RIGHT. The only exception is the last or winning dart. If a player needs an 18 to go out and his dart sticks in the 18 but does not score, the player will be credited with the win. This rule only applies to single darts and not combinations of darts. Any other dart that sticks but does not score may not be scored manually. If a dart is manually scored the player must push the up arrow button to request removal of last dart. It is the responsibility of each player to make sure the machine is on his score before throwing a darts. Each player will be allowed 3 darts. If the machine malfunctions and only allows a player less than 3 darts, the machines will be pushed around for the player to throw the remainder of their darts. If error continues stop match. 33. If a player throws while the machine is displaying HIS OPPONENTS NUMBER: 1) If the player has thrown less than three darts, the machine is advanced to the correct number and the player throws the remainder of his darts. 2) If the player has thrown all three darts on the wrong number, that player has completed his turn. 3) If a player throws out of turn on his opponent s number all darts thrown will count for his opponent. The machine will be returned to the opponents position and he will take his full turn. If the WRONG PLAYER THROWS ON HIS PARTNERS NUMBER: 1) If the wrong player has thrown all three darts the turn is complete and their partner will lose their next turn that round. 2) If less than three darts are thrown. The correct player will throw the remaining darts and their partner will lose their next turn. Any player that takes the game out while throwing out of turn will lose that game. If a player shoots out of turn you must call the foul at the time it occurs. You may not wait until the game is over to call the foul and force loss of the game. If the machine displays a stuck dart message, you should pull the stuck dart and let the machine score the stuck dart. This is a dart thrown; you may not throw the dart over

16 34. MAKE SURE THE REMOVE DARTS MESSAGE IS DISPLAYED BEFORE YOU PULL YOUR DARTS. If you pull your darts when the machine is still active you may give yourself or your opponent additional points. If a player gives himself or his opponent points while pulling his darts his partner will lose his next turn. If you win the game by pulling your darts you will lose that game. To insure that this does not happen you may want to push the player change button before pulling your darts. 35. ROUND LIMITS - The dart machines have a limit of rounds for each game. If your game is not completed in the allotted rounds the machine will end the game and declare the winning team CHANGE ORDER/ ADD PLAYER - The teams shooting order may only be changed once per match; which is at the start of match setup. It is not allowed in-between games or sets. The board will choose the shooting order based on the set shooting order for that specific game number. 37. DART TEAMS THAT PLAY IN BARS THAT HAVE TOURNAMENTS AT THE SAME TIME AS LEAGUE ARE ASKED TO REFRAIN FROM PLAYING IN BOTH. If a dart player is playing in a tournament and dart league at the same time, the player has 5 minutes to report to the board to play his league game. If the player is not at the board in 5 minutes the game will begin without him and his partner must push off for his turn. 38. LEAGUE TIE BREAKER If a tie occurs at the end of the season it remains unless it affects plaques (normally 1st, 2nd or 3rd place). If it does affect plaques: The first tie breaker is to look at the matches between the tied teams. The team who won more matches is the winner. If those are equal, then we add up the scores from each of those matches. The team who won more total games is the winner. If a tie still exists WCD will talk with the two captains to decide a proper tie breaker, which may include an extra match. 39. PLAYOFFS Playoffs will begin the week after the last week of the season. Schedules will be issued and posted. Substitutes may be used in the Playoffs only if they were on your roster before the 14 th week and have an established average of more than 3 weeks of play. In the event that two teams are tied at the end of the season, a tiebreaker will be played to determine playoff positions. Best record of the two teams will determine the home bar for tiebreakers. See Playoff Match Formats for specific Playoff Formats. Playoff schedules will be posted via social media and on boards. Maybe available on the fldarts website. 19 Step 1 Put together your team. LEAGUE SIGN-UP We offer all different ability levels and configurations on different nights of the week. What to consider: Week Day Find out what day of the week works best for your team. We offer leagues Sunday-Thursday. Number of Players We offer mainly 2 and 4 player teams. Seasonally we also have Singles & 3 player (Trips) teams. Level of Ability We call these divisions. We offer a beginners level (C division), Intermediate level (B division) and an Advanced level (A division). For more social leagues where a mix of abilities can play together consider joining an Open or Handicapped league. For more on divisions, check out this article. Teams can consist of all males, all females or a mix. Does not matter unless specified! If you are unable to create your own team feel free to contact us. We always have single players looking for a team so we can help pair you up! Step 2 Choose a home bar You get to choose a location where your team would like to call home base. The location must be a All Florida Amusement (West Coast Darters of Florida) Approved dart location. Step 3 Get all of this together by the registration deadline and submit your registration form or call in the info to us. Step 4 We have three seasons in the year: The way you list your roster is the way it is entered into the system. Full Names & Addresses Contact Numbers Averages Spring/Fall (Our largest season!) Once in a league, we will create the schedule and post it under Leagues.You play once a week on the night of your choosing. So if you signed up for Wednesdays, you would play every Wednesday at 7:30pm or 8pm either at your home bar or at a visiting bar if required.you will roughly play each team in your league twice or three times. Step 5 Play some darts! Teams gather at the location for that week to play their scheduled match on the dart board. What to expect at a match: Game time is at 7:30pm or 8pm depending on your division. Depending on your format, the team will play roughly games. $10 a week. This includes both the cost of the games AND league dues. 14

23 18 REMOTE LEAGUE FAQS So what is a remote league? A remote league is a dart league where you can play from your favorite home bar against any other remote team from, literally, around the world. The league matches are setup just like a local league. There is a schedule, stats and the league fees are paid directly into the board. The match is played at its scheduled time. The biggest difference is that all of your matches are played at your home bar. How do you play a remote league? Just like you would a local league. Inside every Arachnid Galaxy 3 board there are cameras that allow you to see the remote team that you are playing, and they can see you as well. Darts thrown on the remote board register on your screen just like if they were thrown on your board. In fact you still see the same screen animations that you would if they were thrown right there in front of you. Do I need a Hot Button to play leagues? No, the board has all the information stored in the machine for you. Why should I play remote leagues? For one, you never have to leave your home bar. Even though the schedule will have a home and away team you will always play at your location on your G3 board. All the teams that play remote league are entitled to all the same great benefits of a local league automatic scoring and stats, weekly stats and standings updates on the website etc. The two biggest advantages of playing remote league are A) the ability to not be limited geographically and B) playing in a league that doesn t charge you just to play darts and, of course, to stay and play at your favorite watering hole! 17
