Following NZB s announcement about the establishment of its new division, NZB Standardbred is excited to host its first standardbred sale to take place under our umbrella. The 09 New Zealand National Standardbred Yearling Sale will kick off the new selling era on 7 & 8 February at Karaka followed by the Christchurch Sale on 9 & 0 February. We have been selling thoroughbreds at NZB for many decades and are very experienced in running world-class bloodstock auctions. By entering the standardbred industry, we are confident that we can help take it to another level and better service the market. Our existing business capabilities and top-class services will enhance the experience of buying standardbreds at auction with NZB Standardbred clients having full access to our insurance, airfreight and finance products, as well as a lucrative Race Series administered by the NZ Sires Stakes Board. The success of the New Zealand standardbred both here and across the Tasman is incredible with horses like Lazarus, Ultimate Machete and Chicago Bull bolstering statistics. Last season alone, kiwi-breds laid claim to a massive 4% of all stakes races in Australia results that crowned 4 individual Group One-winning pacers. Outstanding black-type results like these are testament to the level of professionalism and enduring passion shown by New Zealand breeders. In 09, our sales calendar is set to showcase the very best of the yearling, weanling, two-year-old and all age stock available for purchase in New Zealand.
