3 WELCOME TO THE 5 OF THE BEST SYNDICATE Over the last 10 years or so, Meaghan and I have bred, sold and raced many horses with groups of friends, large and small. Our experience has been filled with great highs and some disappointment. We have had Group 1 success and sold high priced yearlings. We have also had injuries, training mishaps and sales where our yearlings were passed in and brought home. Whilst our overall experience in the sport has been incredibly rewarding and enjoyable, we have seen some of our syndicate partners strike gold with their investment and others miss the boat with an ownership experience that didn t fulfill our hopes or theirs. With this in mind and my own experience and observations on the key elements to success in Harness Racing, the 5 Of The Best Syndicate was conceived. This is your invitation to be involved. Lincoln Beach Girl Lincoln established herself as a high speed mare when racing on the Western Australian circuit. A winner at 2 and 3, she took a lifetime mark of 1:54.1 in a career that saw her win 10 from 66 and net $78,427. From one of New Zealand s most prolific families, Lincoln has a pedigree of the highest calibre. Her dam, 5 win mare Tell a Franco is out of a sister to the immortal Franco Tiger ($991,387) and her siblings are NZ 2yo Filly of the Year, This time Franco ($249,151), Theres a Franco ($217,588) and Franco Thunder ($198,878). Miss Bigalow Missy was a winner of a heat of the rich APG series and claimed 4th place in the $250,000 final in a career which banked 4 wins and $34,430 in just 14 trips to the track. A daughter of Phantoms Gold, she counts as a half sister the top performer Machinegun Molly. She has 7 other winning siblings, four of those in better than two minutes. As a broodmare, Missy has not disappointed with her first five foals all winners. Her third foal, Big Fella Mach has THE MARES been her best performed progeny to date, having achieved 17 wins and 11 placings from 45 starts, earning $119,053 with a lifetime mark of 1:52.8 on his locker. She is also the dam Mister Onetwo (14 wins, $93,890). Classic Cathy Cathy is a 2 time winning daughter of Victorian Broodmare of the year Sans Pareil.
