2 BOB AND KAREN MEYER Bob and Karen Meyer Glad Valley, SD B ob & Karen Meyer have been raising using horses since 1973 when we took in a band of mares and a stallion belonging to a friend, Lee Lopez, and partnered on the foals the next year. Good horses were important to us, we used them on our ranch, and we enjoyed riding and working with them. The horse breeding business has changed a lot in the past 40+ years, but we still appreciate nice horses and all the friends we ve met along the way. It is especially rewarding when our horses get in the hands of good cowboys and cowgirls, and they go on and compete. John Hoven has bought many of our top colts over the years, he competes in Senior Men s Breakaway and his horse Frosty ( Of Frost x Fixers Orphan Berry) was the 2016 SDRA Senior Mens Breakaway Horse of the year. Frosty joins other horses winning year end titles including Echo ridden by Krystal Marone Dorsey who was the 2008 SDRA Goat Tying Horse of the year and Will owned by Rod Paschke who was the hazing horse part of a team that was named Steer Wrestling team of the year in 2010 in the PRCA Montana Circuit. John Hoven & Frosty All Meyer weanlings are eligible for nomination to the AQHA Ranching Heritage Breeders Program.
