INTRODUCING OUR HANDCRAFTED, LIMITED EDITION PUZZLE COLLECTION. Friends Beyond Species- Society for the Advancement of Animal and Environmental Welfare, National Law University Odisha In Collaboration with Humane Society International: India Presents Conference On Animal And Environmental Welfare 2018 [September 25th 26th]

National Law University Odisha National Law University Odisha (NLUO), Cuttack was established by Act 4 of 2008 by the Odisha State Legislature and started imparting education in Law from the Academic Year Within the short span, NLUO has made its mark as a university engaged in teaching and research in law. Faculty research output has always been of a very high standard, yielding among others several top-tier international publications. The student community s engagement with co-curricular activities has yielded remarkable results.

Friends Beyond Species, Society for the Advancement of Animal and Environmental Welfare Friends Beyond Species, Society for the Advancement of Animal and Environmental Welfare was established in July, The purpose for constituting this Committee is to promote and protect the rights of all sentient beings, especially the most neglected ones who cannot fend for themselves. We, at Friends Beyond Species, believe that by working together, we can fulfill our overall objective of promoting animal welfare and improving of living conditions of animals in context of human society. This aim is to be realized by addressing issues having to do with animal welfare, raising awareness, and standing in defense of animals and the environment, via youth education and citizen sensitization through programmes directly related to animals, in order to achieve sustainable changes.

Law is one of the most important tool to effectuate change. The future lawyers need to be conscious of the change that's happening around them because they are the ones who will be receivers, the ones who will inherit. Therefore, by engaging young students of law in discussions such as these, we intend to sensitize an important section of the society which is the flag bearer of change and a better tomorrow. Conference on Animal and Environmental Welfare 2018: Wildlife Conservation Wildlife Conservation has been one of the biggest concerns of environmentalists across the world. And India, can desperately use well thought, evidence based, sustainable management plans in that area to avoid the drastic repercussions. This conference will shed light on the issue of human-wildlife conflict, illegal poaching and its consequences because India has one of the most diverse species of wildlife in the world and without proper preservation, the future generation might only end up seeing pictures of these animals in books. With this conference we aim to bring together all such voices to have genuine deliberations on action plans to result in a sustainable future for all.

Journal for Animal and Environmental Welfare (JAELW) The Society for Advancement of Animal and Environmental Welfare (Friends Beyond Species) is proud to launch the first edition of The Journal for Animal and Environmental Welfare(JAELW). It shall be a peer reviewed, and student-run academic journal. The venture has been initiated to fulfill the mandate of promoting research, scholarship, and writing among law students and academicians. The Journal will be a pioneer in the field of Animal and Environmental law, facilitating important discussions and raise awareness for its development and progress. The Journal for Animal and Environmental Welfare (JAEW) will be publishing selected articles on the basis of quality research, analysis and relevance to the current issues in the field.
