GO TO SECTION 2 Are fish purchasing guidelines included as a specific part of this policy or in additional policy documents or statements? 2 POINTS GO TO SECTION 2 Is a copy of your policy supplied? Retailers achieved a score of 1 if their policy prevent the stocking of fish from stocks below the precautionary limit, and a score of 0.5 was awarded to retailers stocked these fish with corrective actions in place. 1.7 Does your policy address the issue of Illegal, Unregulated or Unreported (IUU) fishing beyond registering of buyers and sellers, which is legally required? A score of 1 was awarded to retailers who addressed the issue of IUU and required full traceability of the seafood back to the capture vessel. No marks of 0.5 were awarded. 1.8 Does your policy address the issue of immature fish and breeding seasons? A point was awarded if the retailer's policy stated that they required vessels to take measures to avoid juvenile fish, and that they avoided sourcing a species during it's breeding season. 6

The percentage of sales will allow us to calculate the percentages of fish sold by your stores that are from the MCS Fish to Eat list and those that are from the Fish to Avoid list.
