4 Wildlife Deterrent Critter Gitter Model CG-1W uses heat and motion sensors to detect and deter wildlife and control areas without expensive, and unsightly fencing. The Critter Gitter can be used for both wildlife control and domestic animal control. It has been successful in controlling brown bear, black bear, Kodiak bear, Polar bear, cougar, bob cat, raccoon, wolves, birds and other animals known to destroy property and put lives in danger. Model CG-1W Do you have a home, cabin or other building that needs protection from bear intrusions? Livestock or poultry that need protection from predators? Pests that get into your garbage? Beavers that dam your streams? Critter Gitter is used by farmers, ranchers, beekeepers, cabin owners, homeowners, campers, and anyone who needs to effectively deter animals. Critter Gitter has 7 different sounds so the critters do not become accustomed to one sound. The sounds are vary in distinct patterns evoking alarm in most animals. The device has two sound levels, one is loud and the other is very loud. The very loud setting can be heard up to a mile away.
5 Customer Captures: Drew Russo s Feral Momma & Pups Drew Russo didn t expect to catch a puppy when he set his trap out for feral dogs, especially not one so small. This lead to the discovery of five other puppies. The next day Drew used a towel with the puppies scent in the trap as bait. The mother could not resist the urge to find her puppies and entered the trap to investigate the smell. Mom and all six puppies were reunited at the local animal shelter and will be up for adoption. Thank you for sharing your story Drew and thank you for working to keep feral dogs off the streets and into homes. Keep up the great work out there! If you have pictures or stories you would like to share please send them to us at trapem@livetrap.com or join us on Facebook.
6 Live Trap Safety The cold winter months are always a good reminder to touch up on live trap safety, regulations and animal welfare. When weather conditions are unfavorable, cold or hot, it is crucial to check your traps more often. When trapped animals sit in the elements for too long it can lead to severe injury or death. Do some research on the animal you are trapping. Some animals have very little tolerance for cold or hot weather. In cold weather try to set traps in places that are sheltered from harsh winds and rain or snow. If you have one use a trap cover to help shelter the animal. And again check your traps often! Professional Development Tomahawk Live Trap works with government organizations, professional animal control specialists, rescue groups and individuals around the world to create the most effective, reliable and durable animal handling products. If you have a need for custom animal equipment please contact us for a quote. Tomahawk Live Trap - Always Improving - In hot weather try to set traps in shade or again use a trap cover to provide shade. Leave water in the trap with bait to prevent dehydration. Try to set your traps in well ventilated areas that may get a breeze. And again check your traps often! Be sure to check your state, federal and local laws on trapping animals. Many animals are protected and require special permits to be trapped or relocated. In some areas certain animals cannot be relocated and must be euthanized. It is your responsibility to check and follow all laws. Be safe, take care and happy trapping. Tomahawk Live Trap PO Box 155 Hazelhurst, WI trapem@livetrap.com
