Key Items Six keys will be sold with six of the auction items as noted below. One of the keys will fit a lock attached to the key prize to be won by the person with that key. The key prize is a $1,000 shopping spree at Cabela s and a Browning A-Bolt rifle in.243 caliber. Rifle donated by Jeff Leonardini. Item No. L-1 - Fishing Trip on Lower Yakima River SCI-CWC past president, Tom Perry, has donated 1 day of fishing for 2 people on the lower Yakima River for small mouth bass, catfish or whatever else swims. Fly fishing is an option if river conditions allow. If necessary we ll drown worms. May, June and July are the best months. Fishing will be from a jet boat or drift boat as conditions allow. Donated By: Tom Perry Item No. L-2 Black Bear Hunt Celebrated Kitsap Peninsula outfitter, Ed Shelby, of Shelby s Trophy Guide Service has donated a 5 day hunt for 1 hunter to be taken August 1-5, The hunt will be conducted near Ilwaco, WA and will be guided 2 x 1. (Hunters are placed on different stands). Transportation during the hunt and field preparation are included. Hunter must pay for his own motel room and meals. The price of the elk range from $3,900 up to 330 SCI, $5,900 up to 390 SCI and $9,900 over 390 SCI. The method of hunting includes rifle, black powder and archery (no hand guns). Available dates on this 2 day hunt will be Sept only. The success has been 100% on this 5,000 acre private game ranch the past ten years. The trip includes: lodging (log) cabin, meals, guiding, skinning, licenses, and export documents. Not included: meat processing, taxidermy or transportation. The hunt may be taken between now and March 31st or through the 2013 hunting season. The hunt can be taken in SE Missouri in February, SE South Dakota in March or NE South Dakota mid March to mid April. Limit is 20 per day, no plugs required in shotguns, huge decoy spreads and electronic calls are used. Several chapter members have been on this hunt and had a great time! Donated By: Neu Outdoors Item No. L-26 Southeast Alaska Fishing Trip for Salmon and Halibut Regular donor Tuck Harry has donated another fishing trip for salmon and halibut for 2 days for 2 people in southeast Alaska. Fish aboard the 50 ft. Seatonic II, a great fishing boat. Eat the freshest seafood and enjoy watching the scenery including whales and bears. Fishing will take place in June through September of 2013 out of Tenakee Springs. Tuck and Lisa will be your hosts. License, alcohol and transportation are not included. Additional days may be added at $550 per day per person. The purchaser will be required to add another day to the trip at the regular rate or bring another paying person on the trip. Many Chapter members have fished with SCI member, Tuck, multiple times and have always had wonderful trips. Lindsay has been outfitting SCI Chapter members for the past 25 years and has guided three SCI World Record Red Stags. He has been nominated for SCI International Professional Hunter of the Year on several occasions. Lindsay Fraser is a founding member of the New Zealand Chapter of SCI, member of the New Zealand Professional Guides Association and life member of the International Professional Hunters Association. Depending upon the area, your camp could be a yurt, trailer, cabin, house or shepherd hut. The hunt can be upgraded to include Marco Polo Sheep. The game to be hunted is Mule Deer-non trophy legal buck or a cow elk. The youth must be 11 to 17 years old and must have passed the Washington Hunter s Safety class. The hunt is to start on opening day of the 2013 season. Transportation will be provided during the hunt. Hunter and adult are responsible for field dressing and packing out their animal. Linda will help with transporting the animal back to ranch headquarters.
