24 IF SPECIES RECOVERY IS TO BE SUCCESSFUL ON THIS LANDSCAPE, THE LANDOWNERS AND THEIR NEIGHBORS MUST HAVE COMPLETE TRUST AND GUARANTEES THAT THEIR PROPERTY RIGHTS WILL BE PROTECTED This includes the neighbors of participating landowners

25 MANAGEMENT AREAS ARE DEFINED ON THE PROPERTY PRIOR TO ANY RELEASE Landowners can continue with all necessary management on their property with the exception of poisoning or shooting PD s within the management area. Landowners can choose to withdraw from the program at any time they choose No harm, No fowl

26 ASSURANCES FROM REGULATORY OVERSIGHT ONE OF THE GREATEST INCENTIVES NRCS Colorado NRCS worked with CPW and CCA to develop an EQIP Incentive specifically for BFF reintroductions The first sign up resulted in over 50 applications

27 BFF SUCCESS IN COLORADO WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE WITH OUT COMPLETE TRUST AND COMMITMENT WITH USFWS, NRCS, CPW, CCA, WILDLIFE SERVICES AND PRIVATE LANDOWNERS It is imperative that dedicated funding for further incentive contracts as well as plague management and boundary control be secured for the longterm success of the program.
