3 Intro INTRODUCTION At Saracen we think about bikes 24/7. We re dreaming of riding local trails and epic mountain passes. Dreaming up new ideas on how to make our bikes the best they can be. Our minds are always pedalling, even if our legs aren t. We make bikes ridden by some of the best riders in the world, but we make those bikes for you guys. You re the ones spending their weekends at the bike parks, the people trying to figure out whether they can spend an hour on the trails after work and the people who walk into shops and spend their own money on our creations. You re the ones that make Saracen possible. This is our 2019 range. We ve poured hours and hours into these bikes, making sure that no matter what, when and where you want to ride, there s something that ll make sure you have the best time possible. We re proud of what we ve made, and we reckon every single second spent sweating over geometry charts, material choices, spec sheets and colour palettes has been worth it. 5 All frames Are not created equal FRAMES BEAUTY IS NOT JUST SKIN DEEP Bicycle frames are not all the same! The frame is the most important part of the bicycle and is the main factor to how it handles, how much it weighs and how long it lasts. We design and develop all of our frames utilizing the right materials for the right jobs. Cutting edge designs using Toray carbon and seamless aluminium alloys all specifically engineered to our exacting requirements. Countless hours doing our homework not only on the computer analysing numbers but out on the trail in real-world riding conditions. Dry dusty trails to swamp like singletrack and the occasional tarmac blast are all environments we call home. We have a true trickle-down effect from our Factory Race team competing on the toughest tracks around the world to develop our cutting edge Myst DH race platform so mere mortals can buy what our team ride. ALUMINIUM ALLOY We use just the right balance of hydroforming, mechanical forming and good ol round tubes to create frames that not only function perfectly but also looks damn fine. 1 TUBESET Lightweight, durable and simple. A premium blend of 6061 Aluminium but formed into our own tubesets. Comes as standard on our Tufftrax and Urban X models and will last for many years. 2 TUBESET Utilised on our Mantra, Zenith, Levarg and Mantra Jnr categories our series 2 tubeset features many of the ultimate properties of our Series 3 tubeset but is specifically designed for hardtail frames. Custom-formed 6061 tubesets with double and triple butted internal sections providing the perfect mix of stiffness, compliance and weight. 3 TUBESET Fully custom formed and butted 6013 tubeset engineered to offer class leading strength to weight ratios. Designed to give the ultimate in performance and found on our Ariel, Myst suspension models that feature aluminium front and/or rear triangles. TORAYCA CARBON Toray, the world's largest manufacturer of carbon fibers, continues to work tirelessly on research and development. From sports and leisure applications to general industrial use, TORAYCA has been used in various ways thanks to its exceptional lightness, strength, and stiffness. We use only Toray carbon in the lay-up of our bikes that feature carbon frames and use varying blends of 24/40T and 3K to optimise our designs

6 MADISON SARACEN TEAM Building some of the world s fastest bikes is no easy feat! Luckily we have some of the world s fastest riders to help us The Madison Saracen Downhill Team started in 2011 and has continued to grow in strength year on year and is now considered one of the biggest threats on the race circuit. For the 2018 season we saw a 3 man line-up consisting of Danny Hart, Matt Walker and Alex Marin racing under the Madison Saracen Factory Race Team banner. Under the watchful eye of Team Manager Will Longden it s been a stand out season and we ve enjoyed every minute following their progress from one race onto another! All the blood, sweat and tears these guys put in week in week out is truly appreciated by all of us here at Saracen. Racing is in our DNA and nothing makes us more proud than to see our bikes competing at the highest level, but we understand Champions are not made overnight. The Madison Saracen Development Team was introduced to help grow and develop some of the UK s finest talent. Matt Walker is a prime example of this, from multiple Youth National Titles to Junior World Champion and now charging for the podium in the Elite ranks. We think that s a pretty good reason to run the Development programme So why do it? Ultimately, it s for you. The ones that are parting with their hard earned cash and expecting the best product money can buy. The bikes that you see racing all over the world, are available to you, no gimmicks, no special frames just for the team, what you see is what you get. Sure, you may see a new model gracing the pits every now and then, but its all part of our development process to deliver the best products we can. 7 MATT WALKER One of Britain s most exciting prospects, Matt Walker has confirmed his potential in his first season of elite racing. Claiming his first top-10 world cup result in Fort William and the British championship title. Walker s season came off the back of becoming 2017 world champion and topping the world cup podium twice in two years. Four years after joining the junior development team, Matt has become one of the worlds best Elite British Champion 12th / UCI World Cup rd. 6 Mont St. Anne 11th / UCI World Cup rd. 5 Vallnord 7th / UCI World Cup rd. 2 Fort William 2017 UCI Junior World Champion Cairns Junior British Champion 1st / Junior UCI World Cup rd. 2 Fort William st / Junior UCI World Cup rd. 2 Cairns ALEX MARIN One of downhill s most promising graduates, Alex has progressed from the junior podium to scoring his first top-10 as an elite in the world cup series. After a mid-season crash in 2017, Alex returned to racing and is working hard to return to the top of the sport. DANNY HART Ever since his legendary 2011 world championship winning run in Champery, Danny Hart s reputation as a British downhill hero was assured but he didn t stop there. The Redcar Rocket regained the rainbow jersey in a standout 2016 campaign, along with a hat trick of world cup wins on his way to the overall series. Danny s appeal goes beyond his results sheet, with his riding style and downto-earth demeanor gaining him fans worldwide. Giving back to the sport, Danny s own bike park provides a place for him to train and provide coaching sessions to the next generation of riders. 14 26-27 TRAVERSE The Traverse was designed with two principles in mind: make it fast, and make it playful. Swing a leg over the Traverse and we reckon it won t take you long to figure out that we ve nailed both of those. 120mm travel at the front, 100mm at the back and a shedload of fun in between. The Traverse is our first full sus 29er and a bike we couldn t be more excited about.
