That s what we do. It s the focus of our small team at Saracen and we re really proud and passionate. We have travelled many thousands of miles on the humble bicycle and over the past 3 decades watched them develop, innovate and evolve. We ve seen trends and fashion come and go but one thing remains: that feeling of being on a bike. The freedom it gives, the adrenalin, the passion and overall smile that it puts on your face. never been a brand to follow the herd and we ve spent the last year focusing on the bikes we want to ride. 5 8 M Y S T SERIES WE VE PUSHED THE BOUNDARIES TO BUILD THIS CUTTING EDGE RACE CHASSIS AND IT S NOW READY TO HIT RACE TRACKS AROUND THE GLOBE. It s been a long wait but boy is it worth it. For the past 18 months we have been working on our World Cup and World Championship winning chassis with our Madison/Saracen Factory Race team. A development process that saw five different alloy mules and countless testing and race hours proving the theory and 3D CAD development. The frames first broke cover at the 2015 DH World Champs and it s been a long process getting the chassis exactly how we and the team wanted it. We ve pushed the boundaries to build this cutting edge race chassis and it s now ready to hit race tracks around the globe. stellar race season we also improved the brake hose routing on the UD carbon rear triangle which is now internally routed in the seatstays. We ve also stepped up our game upgrading the successful Myst Pro privateer race bike with our brand new carbon race chassis. It comes with a satisfying price tag, whilst still retaining all the key components as seen in previous years. Jumping aboard the Myst I felt right at home from the offset, the simple TRL suspension design makes for easy set-up allowing me to push hard right away Marc Beaumont Built from a mixture of Toray 24T/30T UD carbon with 3K reinforcement in strategic areas on the downtube we saved 560g on the existing alloy front triangle. We ve incorporated the ability to fine-tune the frontcentre +8mm forward and -5mm backwards with our custom headtube and headsets. It s the real-deal with no expense spared and features the best kit money can buy. Available in strictly limited numbers for the fastest riders on the planet. We relocated the shock cradle to the downtube to lower the centreof-gravity and improved the standover. This was perhaps the hardest task as we needed to accommodate the next generation of air-shocks coming through with large volume air cans. The linkage parts are a work of art and the natural UD carbon beauty is not just skin deep: We saved 110gms over the original CNC machined alloy linkages. 10 The integrated fork bump-stops help clean up the front end of the bike and also house the cable ports for the rear brake hose and rear derailleur cable. 8 KILI FLYER SERIES THE KILI FLYER IS PROBABLY THE MOST WELL-KNOWN NAME IN THE HISTORY OF SARACEN AND THESE MODERN TRAIL BIKES LIVE UP TO THE HERITAGE. A bike for all trails. A bike for all seasons. The Kili Flyer is our flagship trail bike running 130mm travel. We ve focused the Kili Flyer bikes on our outstanding Toray UD carbon chassis in a quest to build perfect UK trail bikes. The chassis is built using a mixture of Toray 24T/30T UD carbon and features our signature TRL (Tuned Ride Link) suspension platform; an oversize single, main pivot for stiffness and a linkage to drive the shock. Efficient pedalling on the up and a plush, bottomless feel on the descents are the key characteristics of TRL. It s a system that has been evolving for the past three seasons and we feel the 2017 version is the best. A lot has been said about shorter travel bikes and while the rest of the market pushed on with longer travel 150 and 160mm trail bikes we felt that was just too much for where most people were riding. Trail areas like Cannock Chase, AE Forest, Coed y Brenin and the South Downs to name but a few. The soul of the Kili Flyer goes much deeper than just trail riding, with it s long toptube and slack headangle it is more than ready to take on a day at Cwmcarn or Bike Park Wales! The Kili Flyer is probably the most well-known name in the history of Saracen and these modern trail bikes live up to the heritage. We feel they proudly continue the Kili Flyer name. 10 KILI FLYER PRO 2, The Kili Flyer Pro has been carefully specced to keep the price less astronomic! A dedicated 1x11 drivetrain featuring the new Shimano SLX trail components matched with a Raceface AEffect direct mount chainset are consistent performers in all conditions. Up front we have the Rockshox Revelation RL fork, a light but stiff fork that compliments the Fox Float EVOL rear shock. Cockpit duties are handled by a wide, 760mm Kore Durox bar with a Kore Cubix stem and it s all rounded out with a lightweight, internally routed JD dropper seatpost. 15 MANTRA SERIES MANTRA IS A SIMPLE FORMULA THAT ADDS UP TO BIKES THAT ARE FAST, FLICK-ABLE AND BRILLIANT FUN! The Mantra is a thoroughbred UK trail hardtail and offers true off road capability, at key price-points so there s one for all riders and budgets. Probably our best known category of mountain bikes built for mountain bikers by mountain bikers. Running 120mm forks, our alloy bikes are built light and strong and have a compliant frame with precise handling. For 2017 the custom butted alloy frames have evolved with slightly longer toptubes and a lower BB making it handle just that bit better on all trails, from climbing technical trails to fast descents. All Mantra frames include our own chip-slot dropout system for long-term upgradeability with options from 10mm QR all the way to 12x142mm axles. Our ethos of long toptube, short stem and wide bars runs through the range. The Mantra Carbon Trail and Mantra Carbon Elite are all of the above but lighter and even stronger. The icing on the cake is a carbon frame kit option for dream-bike builds

All cables are internally routed to keep it looking clean. Routing is provided for stealth dropper posts. ISCG 05 and Tapered headtube as standard. The dropouts are the same ones found on our Ariel and Kili Flyer frames to keep parts interchangeable. We wanted it to look like a mountain bike so mounted the rear disc brake on the seatstay and have run the rear hose cable internally from the headtube to the disc mount. It s not XC race. It s 120mm of trail hardtail nirvana! 17 MANTRA CARBON TRAIL 1, The Mantra Carbon Trail shares the same Mit subishi UD carbon chassis as the Elite and comes with a stellar build for a not so astronomic price. A serious set up features a dedicated 1x8 drivetrain and simple-to-use Shimano trigger shifters. After debating the pros and cons of disc brakes on a 20 bike we bucked the fashion trend and went for a good quality set of V-. Kids from five years old can ride this bike and don t really need the associated power (and additional weight) of disc brakes. They also love to fiddle with the bikes and small fingers and disc rotors are not a good mix! 55

31 H A C K SERIES GO FURTHER, RIDE HARDER What is the definition of hack? To us it is everything from commuting, fast trail riding and cross racing. Drop bars, fat tyres and a playful disposition! Our triple butted 6061 frame is light and comfortable for long days in the saddle and is equally at home on smooth, endless tarmac as it is on rough routes less travelled. It has evolved for 2017 with cleaner looking internally routed cables and an all new dropout on the rear to meet the new Shimano Flatmount standard. We ve also shaved a few grams in the process making it lighter. Disc brakes come as standard for greater control in all weather conditions and we feel this should be standard on all tarmac bikes we make. The full carbon fork helps smooth trail buzz typically found on rigid forks and for riders that want to take their ride to the next level, the seatpost diameter is 30.9mm which is perfect for dropper posts! 48 TUFFTRAX SERIES TUFFTRAX IS OUR ENTRY INTO MOUNTAIN BIKES BUT THEY ARE MUCH MORE VERSATILE THAN THE MOUNTAIN BIKE TAG SUGGESTS. Tufftrax is our entry into mountain bikes but they are much more versatile than the Mountain bike tag suggests. A solid performing mountain bike range that won t break the bank and with features normally reserved for much more expensive bikes; brazed in rack and water bottle mounts, forward facing seatube slot to limit water ingress, downtube mounted crud-catcher mounts and plenty of mud clearance should the bike get out in the British summer! Our Tufftrax bikes share the same DNA that runs through the range and we believe that even entry level bikes can ride great with carefully considered specs.
