2 Ellsworth Nation, Ellsworth Handcrafted Bicycles is celebrating its 25th year in business, and with that achievement we re excited to mark this historic milestone with a new MTB offering epitomizing the unique and distinguished brand that is Ellsworth. This new model showcases what remarkable accomplishments can be borne from a tight knit group of passionate, hard-working employees focused on bringing you the best riding bikes on the planet. The new design, led by Tony Ellsworth, culminates from a team-based effort in R&D and combines the learnings and market input from our pro riders, closest customers, and toughest critics. It s called Rogue, and it is our trophy truck for next year. Once you have a chance to ride it you will see why editors, racers, and everyday enthusiasts have fallen in love with it. The Rogue design work took us on a fresh path with respect to where we started and how we got there. We incorporated advanced fit research, more typical of road bike design, to hone the stack and reach and other frame dimensions in order to unlock performance advantages for the rider. The Rogue also incorporates a better, more progressive size range to better fit a larger part of the population. The integration of our stack and reach based sizing, the ICT powered ACTIVE suspension kinematics, and all-new speed and gravity friendly Enduro/All Mountain geometry results in a ground breaking design we believe you will love. We employed key design features on the Rogue Sixty to simplify maintenance and to enhance the lateral and torsional stiffness of the suspension. To that end, it comes with a Hex Taper Axle, a Hex Taper Rocker Locker, and suspension pivots with dual-row angular contact sealed cartridge bearings and wide-bore precision machined pivot pins. These three elements eliminate fl ex and create a rear suspension that tracks perfectly through the choppiest corners and allows effi cient vertical travel, letting the suspension always perform at its best. Internal cable routing won t distract from the sleek lines of the Rogue Sixty, and internal sleeves ensure a rattle free ride. ACTIVE Energy Efficient Suspension ACTIVE Energy Effi cient Suspension is Ellsworth s next generation fully-active rear suspension system engineered as a maximum pedal-effi cient design for riders who want uncompromised ride quality both up and down the hill. The foundation of ACTIVE is our Instant Center Tracking technology that evolved over 17 years. Next generation enhancements (Carbon Torsion Arch, Hex Taper Axle, Hex Taper Rocker Locker, Torque Tube Pivots) dramatically increase stiffness and durability. Together as a complete system, these elements culminate in a suspension that provides better traction, more control, and a greater ratio of pedal power to forward momentum than competitive designs. ACTIVE gives you the ability to ride harder trails than you d imagined, and you ll ride farther and faster with less fatigue. ACTIVE provides our legendary pedal performance and bump absorption across the board from big hits to small chatter. Unlike other suspensions that rely on a heavy-handed use of anti-squat to maintain pedalling effi ciency, ACTIVE is designed to be fully alive and active while coasting AND pedalling. Without built-in forces to counteract the movement, the suspension is always free to respond to bump input from the trail. In fact, most of our riders prefer to climb with the rear shock in the open position. Tough climbs are more comfortable, and you ll have more traction at all times Chainstay growth is negligible throughout the rear suspension travel range so pedal feedback is minimized. The effect is that you ll have more control through highly technical sections of trail and an instant-on pedal force when tackling power sections of the ride. It just takes one ride to know. Always Effi cient. 2. e-den The Ellsworth e-den is an electronics storage area, dedicated to safe and tidy storage of your Di2 battery and wire junction within the downtube of the frame. It uses a typical seatpost style cylindrical battery, but its storage in the e-den still allows you to use a dropper seatpost. All of the electronics and associated wiring is tucked inside the frame and away from the hazards of the trail or a tightly packed shuttle rig. This makes initial installation a breeze, maintenance is easy, and your investment is always secure. Not running Di2, well the e-den provides you additional removable storage for those little items you want to keep hidden but accessible. Di2 battery 06

7 Ellsworth Aluminum Ellsworth Aluminum bike frames provide all the excitement, function, and effi ciency of our carbon fi ber frames, but at a lower cost. We re still making these in the USA, and we re proud of it. Prior to being welded, each frame tube is milled by hand for a perfect, gap-free alignment with the other tubes as the frame is assembled in the jig. These tight joints ensure that the frames can be welded to perfection for maximum strength, stiffness, and durability. Before fi nishing, the frames are heat treated and shot peened to normalize stresses from welding and to make them as strong and as durable as possible for many years of fun on the trails. All of our aluminum frames are anodized to show off the fl awless craftsmanship and to protect the aluminum alloy from corrosion, inside and out. Like our carbon production, you can be sure that our aluminum frames are made with the same social and environmental stewardship, and that are manufacturing practices minimize waste and raw material us. 4. Rogue Hex Taper Rocker Locker The Ellsworth Hex Taper Rocker Locker is our next generation custom machined 7075 pivot pin. It employs a tapered hexagonal shape on both ends that interface with a corresponding hex socket in each rocker plate to effectively lock the system together as one unit for extreme torsional stiffness. It installs through the left side rocker plate, through the shock eye, and into the right rocker plate. Because of this, it is possible to remove the pin, and the rear shock, while the rocker plates remain in place. This makes shock service easier than ever. Its hardened surface glides through durable, IGUS bushings in the shock eye for a stiction-free assembly. It s a small detail, but it plays a big role in making our ACTIVE rear suspension the best system on the market. 5. Ellsworth Carbon Fiber Ellsworth Carbon Fiber bike frames are very lightweight, yet they possess the strength and stiffness necessary to survive the rigors of hard riding in varied terrain. We can create this magical blend of physical characteristics because the orientation and number of each individual layer of carbon fi bers in the production frame is specifi ed according to a carefully engineered layup design. We purposely use a 3k weave outer layer because it adds durability over a unidirectional layer. Your bike is more crash resistant, and the woven fi nish evokes that classic carbon fi ber look. The result is a composite structure that provides the best possible ride quality, durability, and performance. We also offer the reassurance that your bicycle was manufactured in a socially and environmentally responsible manner. Our high-modulus Toray carbon is certifi ed and carefully tracked from its creation all the way to its use in our frame molds. Our designs minimize the total amount of material used, and our processes minimize waste. Our state-of-the- art manufacturing facility in Taiwan exercises responsible practices, and we make sure to properly control the dissipation of carbon particulate in the fi nishing process. The 67 head tube angle makes it stable for aggressive descending, yet the ultra-short 420mm chainstays keep the handling nimble when you need to whip through tight turns or steep g-outs.
