Haase led one lap before the second of three cautions flew. After the restart, Prauner jumped to the inside of Haase to take the lead.

At first Haase was working high and Fox was running low before swapping positions. The two went side-by-side for five laps to the checkered flag. Fox had the advantage at the line for second.

Sixth win for Prauner Norfolk s Kyle Prauner pulled off his sixth win of the season leading the final 11 laps. Wes Hochstein of Randolph led the first eight laps, holding off Matt Haase of Norfolk. Haase led one lap before the second of three cautions flew. After the restart, Prauner jumped to the inside of Haase to take the lead. Prauner pulled away from the field for his 15 th career win at the track. In the closing laps, it was a battle for second between Haase and Derik Fox of Stanton. At first Haase was working high and Fox was running low before swapping positions. The two went side-by-side for five laps to the checkered flag. Fox had the advantage at the line for second. Third went to Haase. Nelson Vollbrecht of Stanton brought home fourth and Hochstein hung on for fifth. 5 Page 10 Saturday, August 6, 2016 Dustin Jackson (22x) won his third feature of the season, last week. Jackson claims third feature It was a tight battle for the lead between Dustin Jackson of O Neill and Norfolk s Lance Mielke, but after the final restart Mielke could not challenge Jackson for the lead and Jackson picked up the win. Tanner Uehling of Norfolk led the first two laps before Jackson moved out front of the field. Mielke slipped into the second spot on lap eight and banged on Jackson s bumper for two laps before the final yellow flag flew. On the final restart, Jackson hugged the infield tires and did not allow Mielke to get inside. Jackson won by a car length for his third win of the season, one of only two drivers with multiple this season. Ramsey Meyer of Pierce has won five times. Mielke crossed second for his fourth second-place finish. Brooke Fluckiger of Columbus placed third for her eighth top 5. Codie Mielke took home fourth for his first top 5 in two nights of racing. Uehling rounded out the top 5, for his fourth top 5. 6 Saturday, August 6, 2016 Page 3 Kevin Kay (21) placed second in the feature. Jeff Triggs (58) finished fourth in his heat race, but later led all 10 laps in the feature to win the main event. Johnny Orlowski (92) finished fourth in the feature. John Orlowski (1) leads Darrell Doerr (7-11) in the heat race. Doerr finished third in the feature. Orlowski placed fifth in the feature.

Bruns, Primrose battle again It came down to another battle between Chad Bruns of Wayne and Shawn Primrose of Norfolk in the Stock Car division.

On the final restart, Primrose was able to keep Bruns behind him by hugging the inside line, however, Bruns eventually crept to the inside of Primrose and it became a battle to the end.

7 Page 4 Saturday, August 6, 2016 Tanner Pettitt (12T) leads Chad Bruns (11) and John Hadcock (45) in their heat race. Bruns won his fourth feature last week and Pettitt finished third for the third time. Hadcock took home fourth. Bruns, Primrose battle again It came down to another battle between Chad Bruns of Wayne and Shawn Primrose of Norfolk in the Stock Car division. And again Bruns took the win, for his fourth win of the season. Tanner Pettitt of Pierce led the first three laps, before Primrose inched by. Primrose led nine laps through two cautions. On the final restart, Primrose was able to keep Bruns behind him by hugging the inside line, however, Bruns eventually crept to the inside of Primrose and it became a battle to the end. Bruns slowly worked his way to the front for the win after several laps of side-byside racing. It was Bruns sixth career win at the track. It was Primrose s fifth runner-up finish of the season. Third went to Pettitt for his third third-place finish. 9 Page 8 Saturday, August 6, 2016 Nate DeSive (31K) captured his first feature of the season, his second victory at the track. DeSive returns to winner s circle On the final restart, Nate DeSive dove to the inside of Wes Hochstein and made the pass for the lead and his first win of the season. Hochstein had led the first eight laps of the 15-lap feature and had a half-straightaway lead when the final caution flew. On the restart, DeSive stuck his bumper under Hochstein s car and went to the front. DeSive led the final seven laps, but had a rear view mirror full of Norfolk s Jeremy Hoskinson, who was barreling down at him. Hoskinson pulled alongside of DeSive to take the white flag, but DeSive managed to edge out Hoskinson at the checkered by half-a-carlength. It was DeSive s second career win at the track. And his fifth top 5 of the season. Hoskinson s second place was his fourth runner-up finish of the season. TeJay Mielke of Norfolk struggled his way to a third place finish for his eighth top 3 finish of the season. Tiffany Bittner of Norfolk took home fourth for her seventh top 5 of the season. Rounding out the top 5 was Jason Wilkinson of Neligh. It was his first night at the track this season. 11 Page 6 Saturday, August 6, 2016 Chris Johnson (7J) picked up his first feature victory and his second win at the track. Johnson uses second chance to win After getting a second chance, Chris Johnson took full advantage and picked up his first win of the season last week. The Bloomfield native had a fast car early in the feature as he challenged for the lead, but lap after lap his car slowly went away and the leader sped away. That leader was Ben Sukup of Norfolk, who the previous night of racing, was leading when a mechanical failure ended his night. Last week, Sukup led the first 19 laps, before he tangled with a slower car and he was sent to the rear of the field after the slower vehicle was spun out. With a clear track on the restart, Johnson said his car came to life, as he found all the grip he needed on the bottom of the track. Lap after lap he slowly pulled away from Norfolk s Chase Osborne who was running second. It was Johnson first win of the season and his second career win at the track. Osborne found himself following Johnson from the third lap. And after the final restart, he was unable to challenge for the lead and settled for second. Cory Dumpert of York passed Wakefield s Travis Birkley after the final restart to take third. Robert Osborne of Norfolk and Bob Milander of Pierce also got by Birkley in the closing laps. Osborne finished fourth and Milander rounded out the top 5.
